Here's where you can sign up for the World Rally Championship Series! đź‘Ť
! I hope you are ready to strap on some rally tires and get dirty! Our official start date will be Sunday Nov 13th. We will be running each stage for one week, from Sunday to Sunday at 12pm Pacific Standard Time (PST). Your times for the whole stage are also due by the following Sunday at 12pm (PST).

I want to keep this series open and inviting and in doing so I am not requiring anyone to turn in any replays. But if anyone mentions a possible ‘cheater’ I WILL ask for a replay. Now I know that by not requiring replays that anyone can be a wall rider, but again if I smell any foul play I will ask for a replay.

With that being said, I also would like to say I want everyone to have fun and if there is an occasional wall ‘TAP’ that occurs during stages 3 and 7 and in no way helps your lap times, then go with it (ONLY stages 3 and 7 am I allowing 1 or 2 MINOR wall taps, every other race must be perfectly clean). But we are on a respectable honor system here, so for your integrity and of your fellow racers please, be honest.

And remember to follow standard OLR rules here:
No cheating (hybrids or whatever), if you suspect cheating, send me a PM right away
No wall riding
No Nitrous Oxide (NOS)
Save all your best ghost replays
Discuss your best splits ONLY, no final times please
Feel free to discuss anything else like car settings track strategy and the like
Your choice of using any aids or not
If you have any questions feel free to pm me (jump_ace).

We will have 7 stages of racing, each made up of 2 sections; a track forward and a track in reverse.

Stage 1 -

Section I: Ice Arena Forward
Section II: Ice Arena Reverse

Stage 2 -

Section I: Grand Canyon Forward
Section II: Grand Canyon Reverse

Stage 3 -

Section I: Swiss Alps Forward
Section II: Swiss Alps Reverse

Stage 4 –

Section I: Tsukuba Wet
Section II: Tsukuba Normal (Dry)

Stage 5 -

Section I: Special Stage Route 5 Forward
Section II: Special stage Route 5 Reverse

Stage 6 -

Section I: Costa Di Amalfi Forward
Section II: Costa Di Amalfi Reverse

Stage 7 -

Section I: Chamonix Forward
Section II: Chamonix Reverse

Stage 8 -

Section I: Tahiti Maze Forward
Section II: Tahiti Maze Reverse

Points will be allotted to each person in the top 11 spots for each Stage (forward and reverse) If we gather more than 11 entrants that I will adjust our scale so everyone gets at least 1 point. For example:

Kolyana gets first place with an OVERALL Stage time of 5:52.134, she gets 20 points, then BHawk776 gets second place with an OVERALL Stage time of 5:53.224 he gets 18 etc. So keep in mind each section time (forward and backwards) is added together for a total time, so being consistent is key.

1st – 20 points
2nd – 18
3rd – 16
4th – 14
5th – 12
6th – 10
7th – 8
8th – 6
9th – 4
10th – 2
11th – 1

Bonus Points: There are points available to the top 5 racers for each section (forward and backward) as well:
1st – 5 points
2nd – 4
3rd – 3
4th – 2
5th – 1

I will also keep a running leaderboard to keep track of everyoneÂ’s splits for each stage. The link for that will come later.

I'm in. So we can run in all classes if we choose, correct? Also, in the Unlimited 2WD class, does that include FF's and MR's or just FR's?

I've got a little over 2 weeks to find out which rides I'll be using. There's alot of cars. Talk about stress. :nervous:

I'll update this space with my choosings.

The open 2WD includes anything besides 4WD, be it RR, FF or MR. Knock yourself out guys! I took a different approach to choosing my cars, I am sticking with one manufacturer, just 'cuz I wanna...lol. I'll list my cars and upgrades later.

The Subaru is NICE .... it's the only blue car I can really get behind. I'm thining about making that my primary ride for this season :)

Um...woah....

Okay, :sly: For the Historic class, I'll have the Lancia. Just cause. :D

And the open 2WD, I'll do some more testing...

How about something for people other then the straight males.

*looks anyway*

huh what??

*goes back to car selection process*

Well sorry to offend, but well I love it and I find it really ironic since I'm not driving any Subby's this series.....The other pics will be more 'suitable'...lol.

Redline Fox
 For booty

That's the spirit! Now how hot would it be if it was her car...eh? Yeah....

and more  for rallying! Please feel free to post any questions here or shoot me a pm.

Jerome

Aah, unfortunatnly no, Gran Turismo have never included any North American rally cars.

That is the only Impreza wagon rally car that I know of in the US at the moment. She usually finishes well with it though.

I'm in. Either Datsun Bluebird Rallye car or Nissan 200SX Rallye car. Too bad they didn't decide to put the Pulsar GTi-R back in the game... :^(

Great to see ya Scott! And I love the pic of your race car too, nice touch! Just let me know your exact final HP for which car you end up choosing along with any other upgrades you purchased. U can email or pm them or post them w/e is easier for ya. đź‘Ť

The dirt just had to call this newbie out. :)

I'm thinking I'm gonna go for the historic rally and unlimited 2wd version myself. No final choices yet, but right now I have a Starion and a DeLorean setup to rally fairly well. :)

Well alright, welcome Max, u need anything just ask!

Just some shake-down pics to get everyone in the mood for hot, sexy, rally action.

Redline in his Evo testing at Canyon.

A pretty red Evo II hard on the throttle at Swiss Alps.

How's that Mitsu treating ya Max? Its one of the toughest rally car I've raced next to the Escudo and 1 or 2 others. Must be the old shocks and struts...lol. Great pics you guys!

Open 2WD,

Ace: I dunno, the starion has been treating me fairly well. The only real complaint I have with it is that it tends to understeer when you really get on the power so I've had to bias a good deal of power to the rear wheels and tune the suspension to oversteer a bit. I've also been running the suspension softer than I normally would. Today I had it down to 3.0 on the spring rate for running on ice which actually showed some pretty darn good results. Otherwise it has worked fine.

I do wish, however, that it had a 6 speed transmission. For some of the more wide open courses I have to spread the 5 gears it has out a bit more than I'd like, but on the other hand it does help get the power to the ground without spinning the tires like all heck.

I think before I make my final decision I need to try out my RS200 rally car. Although I have a feeling that it's going to be a little more squirrely than I prefer. The Starion does take a bit of effort to get it to whip around, but it is a little more user friendly than most when it does finally start hanging the rear end out like any good rally car should. :)

i have a feeling i maybe leading the Subaru brigaide... atm looking at

03' Impreza Rally Car đź‘Ť

not sure about the other classes.. havnt done any testing

@Max, thats what I meant it tends to understeer a little, but its still pretty good. I'll post my car selection soon.
