I would keep in mind that for the tarmac stages, Clubman, Tsubuka and Cita...the most power you can get under the cap would probably be the best. I think there will have to be a compromise. Ice Arena may be difficult with the largest turbo possiable, but when you get to Clubman, you'll want all the power you can get.

Also, Jump, what type of tires are we going to use for the tarmac sections? Sports or racing? And which level?

I really don't know if POeugot are going to be competitive and I may not end up running in the 2WD class ... the Hp is just WAY short of the mark, but maybe Jetboys or someone can give me some uber setup advice that helps it out.

Talking of which ... I have NO idea how to setup a rally car ... any hints & tips? :P

hate to be a Nazi but I need you to take out the NOS, just uninstalling it in your setup where you change settings is fine, but the wing is allowed ;)!

I totally spaced the tires on tarmac, would anyone object to having an open tire selection on the tarmac races? That way you can customize your tires to match your driving style i.e. you can put racing softs in the rear and super softs in the fron to help the car thru turns. Sound good? I'll correct that on the first post.

Here's the quote from the initial post incase you are like me and too lazy to look it up..heheh.

TIRES - For our tarmac stages I am letting you choose ANY tire choice to match your driving style, racing or sport or whatever you desire. When we go to a tarmac stage please specify what tires were used (include fron and rear) for your final times.

I will aslo be adding Tahiti Maze and Tsukuba DRY to our list of races. WOOT!!!

@Kolyana, as for setting up a rally car its a little tricky. Majority of my changes (for me and i know its diff for everyone) come from the stabilizers, typically I will have the fron stabilizers a notch or 2 above the rear to help induce drift. From there I usually dont change too much except for softening the spring rate and MAYBE lowering the rear bound and rebounds a notch. The nice thing about rally cars is that is more about balance thru the turns and about 90% of the balance comes from throttle control and turning radius. Basically I just get the car to where its not 'tempermental' and will allow me total control. As for the gear ratio, just match it like you would any other track, but keep in mind that it takes longer to reach top speed in a rally car on dirt than on tarmac so keepin a closer gear ratio may be effective. Except the ice arena, where I found keeping a longer ratio helped to minimize shifting delay. Other than that I think its just anticipating each turn and controlling your drift to keep speed up thru it. Hope it helps!

BTW, I ran the Nissan 240 RS on Stage 3 turbo and no oil change plus 2600 B-spec miles at the test track. HP = 460 HP!

Went to Grand Canyon and the turbo lag is absolutely unacceptable! Grr... Does this car have NA tune available? I didn't check... I think I'll be driving this series for S&Gs anyway, so I'll more than likely drive the Bluebird Rally. Still not 100% sure, but I'll probably know by tomorrow.

Later all!

It's such fun to drive on dirt, but it does want to spin around 360 being an MR, so it will be interesting on the ice....

(It's also 5 seconds faster around Swiss Alps than the Motor Sport Elise!)

Bleh... The FTO bites on ice... nothing but wheelspin... but when the car goes.... Maybe adding some ballast to the front? Hmmm.

Good luck to everyone in the 2wd division. Looks like wheel be seeing if the FRs really are better than the FFs at rally(the answer is yes, but hey, it seems dramatic).

I can't wait to finish testing the Audi. It's such fun to drive... er drift.

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!!!! U guys all RULE! Such good taste in cars I'm giddy like a little school boy!...*cough*...errr...I mean great selections guys...lol.

@Casio, that car sounds perfect and with its wider wheel base it may be easier to drift? Yeah go by the HP displayed in your changing parts and settings screen (up by the green and yellow powerbands)

@BHawk, nice to see SOMEONE is taking the SUV's excellent!

@Max, excellent choice on the DeLorean dude! Good luck! Hell I chose the '06 Eclipse which is an FF, that will be a challenge to say the least...lol.

The Clio will definently be something to contend with. I tried it out after intially setting up the DeLorean and it was FAST, but boy was it ever a handful!

I'm thinking of doing some last-minute testing for the Land Rover. :D

Go for it Jet, those are a real kick to throw around.

I pm'ed Luxy about me using his leaderboard, I haven't heard back from him yet. He initially said yes (WHEW!) but he hasn't given me any instructions on how to use it or w/e. So once I know what I need to know I will give the link to the leaderboard, but just so you guys know, we may have a delay with the leaderboard.

Yeah it's a pretty difficult steer. It probably has something to do with the very short wheel base, back to front, and it's very wide wheel base side-to-side. Being MR doesn't help the cause either.

I think the FFs will go very well on the Ice Stages, The FRs on the fast big sliding tracks, and the MRs on the tight, twisty ones. I'm so exicted about all this! You're doing an awesome job Jump!

Hey thx man! Glad to hear I'm doing something right in my first series. Now go kick some tail!
