Worse GT Moment

I almost did that once, but I didnt take my finger off the button (this was with my PSX) and ended up doing the last few laps of the race with a hand and a half...

What happened to me once, I think is the worst that can happen to anyone.
Although this happened while play GT 2 I think it still counts.

Well, I had my garage spread out on to two memory cards with 100% of the game completed and a total of 189 cars and 61M Cr.

We know that the PSX takes long to save, and the message clearly says something like “don’t remove memory card while it is saving.”

Now one day, after some time’s play, I had enough and decided to save and shut down…well that’s what I did. I selected it to save and as it started to save I got up and started to pack away the staff, then as I push the off button I realized (ooh ****) what are you doing, and in panic, let go of the button…OFF!!!!
Immediately I turned it back on, but no… it restarted the playstation.

I tried to reload the saved game but it was gone, totally gone. All of it there was nothing. :shakehead
The problem was. I turned the PSX off, while it was still saving and all the data was lost in the process. :rip:
I later learned that if I had just kept the button down and whetted for it to finish saving the data still be there.

To say the least, my hands are chilly at this moment, as I’m type this post.

…Well that was the Worst that I can think of.

On tokyo 246 at the end i was barely winning coming on to the strait. Then i looked back to giggle at the cars and tried to anticipate the sweeping right. BOOM! right into the pits i lose

The stupid 100 car bug that deletes them all.

Absolutely true!
But, likely I did not have to restart all the way. The thing is I had 2 Memory card and 2 game saves, where on the one I had all the good/nice cares from east and south city and on they other cars from north and west city’s.
So when I lost the data of the one garage with north and west cars on. (Of which I and only 9 more cars to tune and setup test) I only had to copy the other games save, sell all the cars and restart the collecting prosess of the cars in northern and western city.

That would be the eight or nine hundred attempt at Gold on that last B license (the Skyline through the tunnels at Trial Mountain) - 0.024 of a second!!!! Four times!!!! AARRRGGH!!!!

Whew, glad I wasn't the only one who kept barely missing the Trial Mountain/Skyline gold by thousands of seconds. That'd be mine, too, I think.

well i played gt3 for a while then i let midusgt borrow my playstation2 and gt3 i went to play gt2 on my ps and i couldnt it was so horrible trying to play it after youve played gt3. not the game play but the graphics.

The worst thing was last night, I was trying to get money for parts and i was in the second race of the FF cup. I had it on the first lap cause my car had 293 HP. Well, Just as I was just about to go on to my second lap when i smackd into the barrier that is at the end of pit row. But, because of my hp I made it up to second place.

Has to be on the last corner of Apricot Hill, in a Camaro Race car, I was fractionally ahead of 2nd place and screwed up the last bend, spun and ended up in the pits on Auto Drive. Needless to say the 2nd place car burned past me and won.
