so iv been hammering GT4 again recently started from fresh, and it still amazes me just how much of a great balance they struck with the game, not just the physics but the actual cars values and money for races.. without bringing credits accross, the game has a nice challenge and is still rewarding.

would you be seriously pissed if all GT5 was was GT4 with a few more cars new ones ect.. GT5P graphics and physics and a few extra tracks. damage, weather, and a few more bits and pieces?

i dont think i would personally.. as my biggest concern for 5 is that it looses the balance that has been there in the past as PD try to cram in just abit to much..

Ummm, apart from a few new cars and tracks, WTF are you expecting??? All we are going to get is GT5P physics and graphics (maybe improved slightly) with loads more cars and tracks. The inclusion of WRC and NASCAR is a mild attempt to differentiate, but at the end of the day, it is what it is. Thankfully, it's the cream of the crop in the racing genre, so while I'm not expecting the world, I will be more than content with what we get.

I would be happy if not everyone started a new threat because they're concerned about one thing or another.

The truth is: we - don't - know what GT5 will be like, we have no idea what the finished game will be like. We haven't seen a single menu screen, specific race types, proof of licence tests or some of the promised new introductions.

You don't know it, obviously we don't know it, only a few people do and they're not ready to share this information with us (yet). So just be patient like anyone else and don't speculate too much.

im trying to keep it in perspective nearly every thread on here has people going off on tangents about what they would love ect ect ect..

no we dont know what GT5 will be like.. can we have a guess yes.. if your all so aggressive about posts on GT5 then why have a fourm open on the subject?

im not speculating, im not guessing at specs im simply asking if people would be happy with the specs i posted up or if that would be to little..

i posted up specs i thought were attainable and well within the scope of PD.. im not talking about engine swaps, body kits or rocket powerd drag cars....

nomino your response could have been constructive if it wasnt for the inclusion of one small bit "WTF are you expecting" im not expecting anything im asking a question.

In a word yes and if they added a load of dlc cars and tracks and a couple more suprises to the ps3 store then i'd be laughing :D

I would be happy, and i also expect that GT5 will probably be pretty much what you have specified.

I think when PD brought out GT3 on the PS2 it was disappointing that they'd cut so much great content from GT2. The better graphics, from what was at the time a next-gen console, didn't make up for the loss IMO.

What the heck? How could i be pissed about this?
Do you know how gameplay changing damage and weather effects are?

If by few extra cars you mean more than 600 and by extra tracks around a hundred then yes I would be satisfied  That's what I want : weather. more cars and tracks and a couple surprises by PD. We don't know anything about GT5 yet but I know I won't be disapointed.

you might not be but the people on here going on about wanting every car from ever made, every racing series and full on euro Ncap damage might be pissed..

That's what each GT game is. The same as the previous but expanded.

It can't really change much without it being completely different. Just racing on tracks for money to buy cars.

It's a simple formula well executed.

I don´t like the Balance in GT4... You never know wich car you should take to race in an event...(to challenge and have fun) Sometimes you have the slowest car on field and had no chance... then you tune it and then it´s to fast and no more challenging...

Or you take the best car and beat them all in Lap no. 1

I don´t like this A-spec points thing... And to test wich car is fun and challenging in an event you must take a car, load the event, look the A-spec points... if it´s between 100-200 than it´s ok... if it´s not, then you exit the event, take another car, load the event... look the A-spec points... and again and again...

I like the Car selection in GT5P for the events with this PP (even if it´s not perfect balanced)... I would see that in GT5... But if GT5 is nothing more than GT4 in the GT5P looks and the GT5P balancing system or car selection,I would be happy...

Its likely to be like GT4 but with more innovation, I would think that body kits and parts will be added to the series, as it was pretty much confimed for GTHD, and also parts as dlc. I also want to to mention the rally car driver in the scooby on the E3 trailer, I seriously think that its a sign for personal avatars and no one wants to look into it, as soon as we saw damage we were quick to confirm it, why would PD putt it in the vid otherwise, it would explain the guy in the SLR, who was teased also in that R8/car lot back ground on prologue.

Going back to body kits, GTHD concept showed us cars with kits, and these were examples of what you could make IMO, they are also in prologue as the concept by GT cars, its good to look into GTHD, afterall I doubt sony scrapped all theses ideas after the cancellation of GTHD.

I think that customizaton for online will be a new foundation for GT5

The balance is absolutely terrible in GT4 i think. I love the game but it is way to damn easy. I know people are going to say well dont tune your car up at all. I seems like the first 30 percent of the game you play is all races if you tune your car alittle you win with ease. I really hope they have adjustments so if you tune your car up the fields cars are tuned a little to make the race close.

Yes, I would be seriously pissed if "all GT5 was was GT4 with a few more cars new ones ect.. GT5P graphics and physics and a few extra tracks. damage, weather, and a few more bits and pieces? "

I would be so pissed that I would throw my PS3 off a cliff and murder some kittens. If I don't see puppies popping out of my PS3 followed subsequently by my perfect dream husband, blood will run down the streets.

Try using an S2000 at Nurburg (open convertible 1 vs 1) and race a 111R or NSX etc, w/e it can match, and use a road tire (no mods or quick tune), it's one of the best race you can have in GT4 with the wheel and of course good challenge. And the Yellow Bird with road tires is damn hard. Everyone that's looking for a challenge in GT4 should slap an N3(Road tires) tires just like GT5p.

But thats not the point... We are talking about the balancing in the event modes...

The only challenging things in GT4 were the mission races and the license tests... they were really fun! but the event modes were boring... You got to try fifty times to find the perfect car to have a nice race in an event without the problem to win too easy or to have no chance...
