I’ll take the Ghia any day.
What would happen if you tried racing the Chevy?

The Nissan and the 57 Chevy. Even though I prefer the 55.
And Volksauto, the Ghia wouldn't stand a chance on a track. Look how the US irons run at Goodwood. The Ghia is just a fancy body on a Beetle. (It's very pretty though)

Oh, I’m sure he knows that. Here’s the full text of the VW ad he posted. VW’s US ad agency was Doyle Dane Bernbach (DDB), and their print ads for VW were legendary. Truly some of the best ever made. There are some very good books and articles about them. They’re worth a read.

Never caught the connection. Was of course never advertised like that over here.
Different background gives different association

How do you want your BMW V8-powered coupe?

BMW-503-Coupe-1631_20.jpg

BMW 503 coupe. 273 made.

talbot-logo-t14-america.jpg

Talbot-Lago T14 America. About 12 made.

Frazer_Nash_Continental_at_Prescott.jpg

Frazer-Nash Continental. Two made (the last cars Frazer-Nash ever built.)

Definitely the XJR-15, reminds me alot of the CLK-GTR in regards to the transmission whine/V12 combo and being pretty brutal to drive and I also have a extreme soft spot for 90s Supercars.
