I've seen some people in :gtplanet: that have posted Rickroll links. I hope one day, administators and moderators will ban Rickrolling and people who Rickroll on :gtplanet: will get warned.

I am well aware of what Rickrolling is but it is not a banable offense as it doesn't technically go against the AUP.

And it's a rather stupid one to add if I may say so myself.

I agree it shouldn't be done outright, maybe as a joke here or there, but otherwise as long as a thread serves a purpose otherwise thats not that I don't see an issue.

I see an issue when people start doing it in the OP.

Is it really that big a problem to warrant a ban? I've seen it probably thrice or so over the last year. If it really bothers you that much, you have three real options.

Memorise the associated URLs on a giant spreadsheet.
Never click anything.
Rethink your life.

If we start banning everything that's irritating there'd only be like, 5 members left and we'd be minus the drift forum. Quite honestly I don't think it's an issue, and everyone has better things to be doing.

I'm pretty sure that misleading links are frowned upon.

I can't even remember the last time I got rickrolled anywhere. Funny thing is, that rickrolling has become such a thing of the past that when it happens now it's genuinely unexpected.

It can be considered misleading, or spam but I don't think it's anything serious because of what @Akmuq said.

It's akin to saying "Wow, check out this awesome video about Gran Turismo 6" and then posting Last Christmas.

Why exactly does this thread even exist? The idea is silly just for the fact that Rickrolling hardly happens anymore (nor is it a relevant as its a fad as old as NEDM).

Is this thread sort of a "Let's ban the oldest thing we can think about" thread? If so, I vote we ban the duck roll. We all know how often we deal with this kind of annoyance.
