Drifting made an article on usatoday.com or something. Also Chunky Bai made TechTV. And techTV ALMOST covered drifting right. Chunky kept correcting the reporter, though. I taped it. :)

I saw that..the one with the drifting on the Streets? Blahk. They kept saying that FF was drifting and yada..Uck..TechTV did a decent job, though. Apart from the APC comments, that is..

What did they say about APC?

I'm actually happy that APC is getting into the drifting scene in the US. Supposedly they're trying to change their image and that's one of the reason they've been funding Team Orange. They're paying for all of Team Orange's expenses, track fees, shipping fees, driver salaries, etc, etc. So if you've seen them at a demo, you have APC to thank for it.
They're also releasing a whole new line of "Drift Spec" parts, which sounds "ricey", but it's actually made with the help of the owner of K-Style as well as some other well known and credible japanese drifters. From what I've heard, it might even just be rebadged K-Style products (which would be awesome). I've also heard that APC is going to be selling Kei Office suspension and MSports body parts. These are all very good things, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see how things go.

I dont want APC into drifting. But then again..I could always use those neon coilovers  . But APC was like "We saw this coming, so we got into it at the beginning of last year"..Where were they 20 years ago when it REALLY started..

yeah!...I don't want APC in drifting neither even if they are changing their image because they are acting like they've been with drifting since those days on the touge's where it began when actuallly they just try to be apart of anything tat's catching on.I mean I hav'nt been in that long BUT it's just that they have already put their rice in enough of the import culture

But that's just my 2cents so keep a going

Far be it from me to defend APC, but saying "We saw this coming, so we got into it at the beginning of last year" isn't really saying that they were into drifting from the beginning. All it's saying is that they predicted that the popularity of drifting in the US was going to rise and decided to get involved so they could profit off of it.

So far I have yet to see an APC part that I would even consider putting on my car, but if what I've heard is true, they're really trying to change their image and start making quality performance parts. Just think of how awesome it would be to be able to walk into Pep Boys and buy JDM quality parts for a fraction of the price, with the only drawback being the APC label. As I said before, we'll just have to wait and see how it goes. If they start slapping "DRIFT SPEC!!" on crappy parts then I'll retract my statements. :D

By the time you realize it, they will have neon coilovers and neon roll cages. Mark me on that. They're going to take old APC parts, 'modify' them and slap drift spec on it. I spit on anyone who uses their parts. Seriously. Pa-tooy.

I agree with xzift on this one. I can't stand APC products, they are usually cheap and poorly constructed. If they decide to change this, and start building quality products, then I will eat hat. ;)

Several different things have actually been mentioned which is why I asked you to clarify. You could've said something like "Getting back to the original post..." or something to that extent if you were referring back to the original post. Then there wouldn't be any confusion. :)

I hope ricers crash and burn, but not kill themselves. I want them to feel the pain of losing the car they put so much time and money into, which most of it was spent on stickers and ridiculously stupid exterior modifications.

I've already got an idea of an APC drift car. They'll probly take a well known drift car and load it down with useless stickers,
crazy body-kits,neon crap, and very large rims. But when it's time to drift they barely get a screech from the tires and they crash.

THE END:D:D  :P  :P :D :D

i hope all the rice'a'ronies find out their FF cars cant drift when its too late to save themselves. :) it must have 40hp xtra because i have a fire extinguisher behind my seat!

Actually, they just buy well known drift cars and slap their stickers on them. Everything I've heard leads me to believe APC is serious about drifting. They're not ****ing around.

APC = American Piece of Crap

i highly doubt theyre doing it for their image.....the only reason for them getting into drifting is because its blowing up....what does this mean to them ??.....$$$$$$$$.......

i actually know a couple of people from apc who used to work for other companies......and the reason they went to apc is cuz of $....think about it, where was apc before ricers were all over ??.....i think they were making truck & domestic parts.....

personally, i dont like apc because i know the quality of they're products and know that no type of reall engineering goes into they're products........the only thing i like about apc is that they're blowing Toucan Industries (assholes i used to work for) out of the water......

^^^
but, if you would have read... APC isn't making their parts... a well known company is, just w/ the APC name - if i can get high quality parts for cheap pricessss, im all over it.
