The WRC seems to have a good following in the US, particularly with the rising popularity of the SCCA Rally series.

As for Japan, no idea off hand, but if it has cars in it they tend to go nuts for it. Don't forget the WRC has a rally in Japan next year.

Thanks, sounds like its growing in popularity quickly.

I guess the other thing is Mitsubishi and Subaru are both Japanese so that may mean they could show somewhere in Japan.

Rallying is like the national sport in Finland. :D Or at least the national motorsport.

You were right first time, rallying is the national sport of Finland. Lucky sods, in the UK we get Football! Sorry to any footie fans, but I'd rather have rallying as a national sport.

Yeah, football leaves me rather cold as well. But don't forget that we Brits build the Subaru, Mitsubishi, Ford and Hyundai rally cars, plus countless components of other cars.

Not just rally cars, the UK is still pretty much the motorsport capital of the world for the design and development of vehicles.

Most of the F1 teams and a good number of GT teams are based in the UK, mainly around the Oxford area, just up the road from me.
