Wreckfest 2 announced

Looks exactly the same as Wreckfest 1.

And I am totally onboard with that.

I thought exactly the same.
But at first I was a bit "disappointed" for not such a huge difference/evolution (perhaps better graphics is what I was thinking/hoping), but then I realize: Why change the formula for something that was already so amazing? Just expand content, career and perhaps more customizations on the cars, more tracks, but if they don't actually change the baseline I am more than happy with that as well.

They are saying Sound has had a massive overhaul and is really special.

Having grown up with old Gran turismo games I'd say the sound could have been much worse. It wasn't amazing by any stretch but I wouldn't have said it was bad enough to take anything away from how good the game was.

You tend to ignore it, but it did sound very synthetic and vroomy. Yeah gran Turismo sounds have never been great haha. GT7 is much better.

Hope they implement DLC content much better into single player and especially with mod support let us create our own championships offline and probably also online. They added tracks and you could never use them apart from single races or very few online races.

Not going to watch that video because I want to experience it for myself whenever it becomes available. Really looking forward to seeing how it is because one of the devs in the official Discord server has talked about the changes they made to the game and they all sound promising!

Hopefully someone on YouTube post a video of how it runs on SteamDeck, if it runs well I'm tempted to jump in to early access instead of waiting a year for the PS5 release.
