2001: A Space Odyssey is probably one of my favourite books of all time and the film is up there as well. His forward thinking shouldn't be forgotten as well. Quite sad.

It's too bad, but if he lived to 90, that's pretty full life. The Sci Fi legend will be missed.

Really? I heard that 3001 got bad reviews...

Nonetheless, Rest In Peace, Arthur. 2001 was definitely amazing.

3001? Wasn't terrible... just wasn't as much of a book as the previous Odysseys... pretty short... and more of a tourist trip in Clarke's imagined 31st Century than anything else.

I loved the Rama series books as well as the film 2001 (Never read the book.) R.I.P
