Vote for the option you want for WRS week 96

I voted GT-Mode . I love the dirt and all, but not for the WRS. GRRRRR!
Laters.

Sammy.

Edit:
Woops. I didn't put down a track or anything. Sorry.
Hmmm... I think the Dome Zero on.... Hmmmm. Not Trial Mountain. I can't think of the name. Hold on. *thinking, please hold*
Deep Forest Raceway.

Or the Chevrolet SSR Fully tuned with a wing on Grand Valley Speedway. That would be awsome. There's my ideas.
WRS Fact: There have been no trucks or SUVs in the WRS. Wierd. But ok. Bye.
Sammy, you are absolutely hilarious!

Anyway:
GT MODE!!!!!! Save the arcade mode rally for later, I won't mind it, but we're due for a GT Mode race! Come on now guys! :P

So.

Tracks I like that have been suggested. The Ring, El Capitan, Grand Valley, I wouldn't mind a super car at Sarthe race, Apricot, Midfield and Laguna.

I gtg for now, but I'll discuss cars tonight!

HHmm.....I used to think we were buds Kyle, now I just don't know anymore....haha. Atleast you listed some good tracks (not that there are many bad ones either)

Also agree 100% with Luke's picks, I was hoping to run one of those 'new' tracks in the BC this year, but everyone else wanted different.

Jerome

I'd like to race a fast, nimble car on a smaller course. Seems like a good combo would be:

Catterham Fireblade at Autumn Ring Mini

We've done the Caterham not too long ago. Still, maybe an Elise 111R, or even a more nimble race car would work.

The poll is now closed.

I'm very surprised with the outcome of this poll. 18 votes to 17 in favour of an Arcade Rally combo for week 96.

Arcade Rally is now offically set for week 96, and GT-Mode will now compete against a different option for the WRS Driver's Choice : WEEK 100

I will now read all the Arcade Rally suggestions and decide which one we will be driving for week 96. 👍

Arcade, with an old muscle car

Arcade at cathedral rocks 1 with subaru rally car.

Rally race at Tahiti!:)

That might get me back in WRS for one week perhaps...👍

Dirt for me :) A low powered fr on any dirt track would suit me just fine. 👍

I'd love to run:

Mitsubishi Evo IV Rally Car '97
Chamonix Reverse, Ice Arena or Tahiti
-20%
-10%

Peugeot 205 T16 Rally Car '85
Georges V Paris
-20%
-10%

The longer wheelbase on the Evo makes it one of the more stable cars on snow/dirt, and it's got a nice even powerband which makes it one of the easiest and most enjoyable rally cars to drive 👍

The Pug is just a personal favourite ;)

I definitely agree with you about the Evo IV, as it is my favourite rally car by far. The only problem is that we've already used it Week 60 at Grand Valley. True, that wasn't a rally week, but with 700 cars to choose from I'm going to doubt it will be used again.

But perhaps we could use the newer of the Evo rally cars. Basically I'm just going to hope that we'll be at Tahiti, but not with a Spec-B.

Whoohoo! Arcade Rally!

Suggestions, if needed, I gave 'em earlier in the appropriate thread. But to sum it up:

4WD Roadcars at around 200HP - I found the '85 Celica GT-Four the most enjoyable to drive around Chamonix. Great fun... Audi TT and S3/A3 worked great, too.
Other suggestions: Sub-200HP Fwds (Yes, Front-wheel drive) around Cathedral Rocks Trail I (With Tarmac). I found the Clio Sport a joy to drive there, as well as the Pugs (106s, 206s) and Alfas.
Low (~150HP) powered lightweigh ancient Rwds (Alfa GTA, Isuzu GT-R) around any of the gravel/dirt-circuits. I know they have less power than the Fwds, but the Fwds are remarkably stable and good-handling on GT4's Dirt - far better than the excessively-spinning Rwds.

Whatever it'll be, I'll love it.

me too, kyle. and if 96 will be rallye i might perform a unique 2-week absence stint in wrs :yuck:
no worries, i've got ron's and david's challenge to keep me occupied 👍

I sure hope we'll see GT Mode before a MAYBE on wk 100...

We will see at least one GT-Mode before week 100. In fact, expect to see one on week 97 👍

The idea behind the Driver's Choice is to determine what the WRS members like, and by giving them the chance to decide for themselves what we will race. It also gives me a clearer picture what members prefer when two different options are presented to them. Who would've thought that a rally combo would out-vote a GT-Mode combo? I certainly didn't.

if such a bunch of wrs drivers desperately want rallyes why not split up wrs into tarmac lovers and rallye lovers? :sly: in that way they can rallye against each other as often as they like. also i'm sure a steward will present himself to coordinate it 👍
in this way 'tar addicts like me can continue enjoying wrs week after week 👍 👍 👍

Let me see if I understand what your saying.
Are you saying that because you don't like rally, those that do should be treated differently to those that don't?

Some don't like GT-Mode.
Some don't like Arcade-Mode
Some don't like fast cars
Some don't like slow cars
Some don't like too much grip
Some don't like less grip
Etc, etc.

Should we split all these differences into little groups?

sorry jerry - please dont get me wrong.
this was an example of a bad dutch joke.
it's just that i like to wrs every week.

I was trying not to get you wrong, that's why I asked the question. ;)

I know you like to race every week and you still can if you want, there is no one stopping you from doing so.

Week 96 may well have a low turn out, but for me that doesn't matter. What matters to me is giving all WRS members something they want. 18 WRS members have asked for a rally combo, and that's exactly what they will have. 👍

... and that is exactly what makes you such a fine steward.

Sphinx
Survived week 2. :sly:
... and you will survive many more.

Rightey-oh. Rally.

*cracks knuckles*

Schedule for this week:

Tuesday: Race.
Wednesday: Try to squeeze in a session.
Thursday: Same.
Friday: No chance for a session.
Saturday-Monday: A single, non-stop session.

Lets hope it's as addicting as some of the combos Ron got in the ARC...

 I'll be sure to put some time aside to race that week. 👍

And Metar, DAMN, that's a good bit of race time, eh? :P

Yep. I hope it all become real time, rather than just time in theory - I have wasted many weeks on "I'll have time later" excuses when the combo just wasn't interesting enough, or when another exam popped up. I also plan to invest at least two sessions in the JGTC this week. Though, seems like my GT4 disk just generally won't load races with AI... EDIT: And I just noticed, this week's GTPG R5 challenge looks mighty fun as well... And just when I was thinking of making a pause in gaming.

I don't know HOW to race rally. Nevermind that I havn't ever even pondered setting up a rally car yet. This will definitely be a bloodbath. Ouch!

My time will stink, but I can't improve if I don't run the events I'm poor at.
