WRS Gets recognition!

It's not like it's hard to get in here though!
Of course it's not.
Anyone can create a new topic or add information to an existing one.
The whole thing is checked by moderators to avoid any abuse.

Wow, that's cool!

And Casio, I like your avatar (and name). My watch happens to have the same name! lol :)

I bet CFM wrote that wiki entry, seeing as though its full of spelling errors.

Loox like his hand.....

:mischievous:

Hooray..... we're famous on the net.....

Hooray..... we're famous on the net.....

just following on from that....

there are a couple of people on racing sites where their reputation procedes them(spell that correctly for me VEXD), famine comes to mind for me (it's cool to have had the pleasure of meeting him). i think the same can be said for a few other racers.

i just wondered who exactly......?

who have i had the pleasure of being taught by who is classed as a GOD on sites such as this one???

i would like to point out at this point, that i saw vexd race and beat famine- which was really fantastic from my point of view!!!

I didn't do it, I don't even know what a wikipedia is.

On another note, I read an article in Popular Science Magazine about a study they did. It seems that when people point out spelling errors all the time, for some reason the chances of a hard drive failure goes up proportionate to the number of corrections posted. Who would have thought such a connection existed? It boggles the mind really.

Now who was it around here that had a hard drive fail on them recently?

BTW, you spelled looks wrong.

I've had the pleasure of racing vexd and not being able to watch him - unless I stopped and flicked to rear-view... :D

And I had the pleasure of my favouritest race of all time at that meeting - the TVRs at La Sarthe. I hate La Sarthe normally but that was a truly epic race :D

Anyway, I'm touched. Will you be coming to the next one in South Yorkshire?

If we get invited Famine.... we'd love to.... but we havent heard a thing from anyone at the numbers since the event.....

I thought maybe we'd upset a few people.....

I hope not.

Anyway, whats this about hard drive failure?

No jokes please, i lost everything.

No recovery possible, ive just started a fresh bloody XP and now i get "did u know XP can do this and that for you" messages everytime i click on something.

Bah humph.
:grumpy:

Famine, i'd love to come, please pm me with Kev's email, i lost it didnt i.....

The main thread is over at the Numbers. And your genial host is.. me... :D

I remember that race being epic..... i was sat waiting for you all to finish for christs sake.....

I wouldnt mind doing something like that again though, at the next lan, providing i was driving, not watching.

Bloody tamora you drove was slower than everything else.... talk about hair and the tortoise.

:irked:👍

And how!

I was just watching blue dots eat me up every straight. Then crash.

Wasn't as bad as a race at UKGTP2. 4 laps of Seattle. I had the theoretically strongest Corvette Z06 and managed to pork out a 15 second lead by the line at the end of lap 3. Then my tyres just vanished...

The split times fell and fell and fell... the blue dot got closer and closer... I crossed the line less than a second ahead and collapsed on the floor in the middle of the room... :D

Hopefully some more of that kind of "fun" will be in the offing... :D

GT_Fan2005
what, where and when is this LAN event you speak of, it sounds awsome!

Fun, Yorkshire and October, that order.

Terrific fun and not so terrific yorkshire (but easily accessible) and October i spose is as terrific a month as any other, only i prefer it, as it starts to get colder, and i like the cold.

You should come GTfan, i know you get on with EXelero, and she'll be there, as will i, and Famine, Daan, and hopefully some super hero with an obesity problem... though nothings been confirmed with commissioner Gordon yet....

Just some of the fastest GT drivers, and some very nicely picked combos, and GT4 all weekend....

I want details as soon as you have them Famine, please.

I bet Daan's happy, he hasnt got to go so far!

Wish i could come to beat you but unfortanly its ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PLANET :(.

ah well.

I was slow to weigh in regarding this subject and it is for a reason.

Too much of what was posted in the "wiki" message was evidence of who created this.

First off, you know it wasn't CFM, myself, or any other long term member. :sly:

Refferencing a "2 mod" system and a deadline that has changed atleast 3 times were both signs that the member who did this was/is not a long time racer.

I appreciate the effort though.

Thanks Mr. or Ms. Annonymous.

The WRS gets recognition indeed. 👍

Seconded (well, except for the beating you part; I would probably get my ego handed to me in small pieces)

It would be difficult to organise such a get-together here because unfortunately Australia is rather bigger than the UK with a rather smaller population...

...What do I mean "unfortunately"...it's great! :D

There are GT meetings in Australia. I know some are organized over at Torc Talk.

Being that this thread has gone way off subject, and since it never had too much validity to begin with... Into the archive it goes.

If another subject like this pops up there will be a merge, a short time in the main forum and then back to the archive again.

Fact is, we (the racers) are the only ones who need to know about the wrs. ;)

Plus, the wikipedia entry was "bunk."
Totally ignored the past 2 years of racing. :irked:

Also, I suggest everyone goes to the chit-chat thread to discuss off-topic issues. 👍
