Welcome to the WRS Aremburgkerve and herk.

Enjoy the races.:)

Welcome to all our new drivers, especially those in DivIII. Hope you enjoy your stay with us! See you on the track.

A little welcome from me to the new drivers as well. WRS is a great place to race, improve your skills, and come to places in GT4 you didn't know were sweet to explore. But beware, there are many very skilled drivers around here (not including me :)) that'll keep you from winning in your division unless you're really good

Welcome to the new drivers. Hope to see you out on the track. This is a great place to get ideas and improve your skills.

I need to know from new member Andy2521 what controller he is using. It's used in the weekly leaderboard (Luxy) so that all can see who is using what. Just indicate wheel or dual shock controller if you please 👍

Andy uses dual shock (unless he bought himself a wheel since saturday last week)

Thanks/dank je wel Bart, I'll update his info in Luxy.
Strange thing is that I couldn't find any announcement of him being introduced to WRS?
steven

It was announced in the 'Introduce yourself'-thread

Please welcome BigHead to the WRS.

BigHead has been placed into Division 2

Welcome aboard and enjoy your stay. 👍

I will endeavour to update the drivers list on the morrow

Welcome BigHead, enjoy the racing here at the WRS. The people are as much fun as the racing, probably even more as it seems some people can get aggrevated trying to get a faster lap.

Please welcome charnsuka to the WRS.

charnsuka has been placed into Division 3

Welcome aboard and enjoy your stay. 👍

Qualified Drivers List updated:

Woah! What an influx of new race flesh - welcome to all, especially to those coming into Division 3. Always nice to see if there are more drivers that can drive just as poor as I ;) can (no offense mates).
Enjoy your stay in the coolest GTP community in the world.

Welcome to the WRS Quiksilver_GT. You've qualified well and your in a difficult spot. Division 1 times are reachable and you need to watch out for some division 3 drivers trying to take your spot on our leader board.
Welcome into division 3 charnsuka and Rotary Junkie. I'm D3 also and I think we have the most fun of any division. We don't worry about a lower division driver beating our lap times and we have the chance each week to beat a couple of D2 lap times.
We like to help each other improve in all divisions, though D1 drivers (aliens) don't need much help. They help us. Its all in fun.

Kenny

Welcome to all of our new drivers especially those in Div III. Kenny hit the nail on the head. We try and have a good time, our Stewards WILL challenge you and if you need help.....just ask. Great group here and I trust you will enjoy your stay with us. Welcome aboard!

Welcome to the new drivers! Hope to see you out on the track. 👍

Division 1!?!? How? I guess it has something to do with trying for 50 or so laps on the qualifier. I half expect to be demoted fairly soon. Ah well, at least I don't have to worry about not having a Maxdrive, since I'm sure not going to be getting gold times any time soon.

Hi Austin,
Seeing that you just qualified 31st out of 660+ drivers, I doubt very much that you would be demoted any time soon. 👍

Again, welcome to the WRS. 👍👍

Thank you, Sphinx. I was just very surprised how well I qualified.

Recently, I have been doing the archived races to hone my skills. And I saw a significant improvement (coinciding with my declining use of TCS 💡), enough that I was getting times in the gold range of D2 in some weeks. Yet, I never had a time fast enough to win D2. But, if I want to take credit for myself, that could be explained by not spending a week on each race! Unlike the qualifier...

Anyway, I look forward to enjoying myself in the weeks to come! 👍 And of course being humbled by hsh, CMir, and Mr P. I had better order a Maxdrive soon, though, just in case.

I'd like to Welcome Xalelexx to Division 3. Its good to see you and Austin343 jumping right into the racing, especially with such a difficult combo.

Hey Austin343, first off, Welcome. It seems you did some homework before joining the WRS. As for the qualifier I'm sure I drove many more laps than 50. Probably 50 laps each day for a whole week. I hope you do well in D1. You have reached alien status and all of D1 are fast, very fast. The max drive is also good for grabbing replays to watch. A lot of D1 use the PAL version of gt4 which we (NTSC) are unable to watch. MrP and hsh also provide video's for all to see a lot of the time.

Its a great community here. If either of you have questions, ask away. We all help out where we can. Have fun racing.

Welcome to both of you, have a nice time with this community  :)

Austin, welcome to the big boys' division, let's see what you're made of. Thanks for including me on that winning group, but I'm not as good as the top guys (I only win when they let me :dopey: , still I'm happy with my skills). If you think you're not good enough, soon you'll change your mind, because your skills will be improved as we discuss times, strategies and replays, and of course practice makes perfect 👍

Thanks, both of you!

I'm definitely not an alien yet... yes, Division 1 is very, very fast. :scared:

If anything is going to be my downfall, it's patience. I find it hard to run 100 laps on a combo and not throw the controller on the ground repeatedly. And in a car like the FGT, patience is absolutely key. One slip and you lose a second! I liked the M3 on Infineon, which must explain how I got within two seconds of the real aliens.

I can't wait for week 150! I'm sure it will be fun. :D
