Javier and I have come up with a format change that should be more exciting for all potential racers.
From now on we will have three classes of cars.
All categories are PP and weight limited.
All run on racing hard tires except the Production class which will run on SS, and tuning is allowed but no power items may be added.
Class 1. Any car
600 PP 900 KG weight
Class 2 Any car
500 PP 1100 KG weight
Class 3 Production car to include "Tuner " Cars.
500 PP 1200 KG weight
You may select any car you wish. You can tune to your hearts content with the exception of power parts.
Bring one (or more) of each class to the Sunday races.
Races will be run on one of the Nordschleife versions.
Minimum race length is 4 laps.
A minimum of one pit stop is required.
Boost will be weak and draft will be real. (this allows real racing up front and will allow those who "fall off" to get back to the fray).
Tire wear and Fuel will be FAST (pay attention to your fuel gauge)
It will NOT rain.
It will get dark
Room Settings...
Weather ZERO
Time 1500
Time progression 60
Grid Start with Lights
Random Grid
No visible damage

Slipstream real
etc,etc,etc,
Javier and I tried a sample race yesterday with Javier in the GT300 BRZ and me in the Camaro GT LM Race car. The BRZ out handled the Camaro in the twisty bits (and there are many of those on the Ring) and the Camaro out handled him on the straights. It was VERY amusing.
And for those of you who can't tune your way out of a paper bag (I resemble that remark!) we will provide tunes for a couple of cars you can be fast in and have fun.
As before.....no qually, random grid, no score, no championship.
lots of strange cars... Bring your mike...we talk, laugh, and in general have lots of fun... and if you must win...have a blast...we will pay absolutely no attention to you.
Concession rules....you hit someone, you dive bomb someone, you out brake yourself into the pack...etc. You go to the last position of the group you are in and get to work your way through the pack...ad infinitum ad nauseaum.
Note: This is firmly cast in Jell-o.
