Dax on the left, Furi on the right.

Omfg lol'd hard......

Hahaha well these are brutal cars to control, much different from the FGT. This 2hrs 20min flat out with two classes.

I'm topping out at 196 in the Dodge, don't know how fast with draft, but I think it will be a relatively lonely race for the Dodges, going to have to try to keep up with the Vettes through strategy.

what does the C2 lineup look like?

RFLX Niop (CORVETTE)
Paul Mac (CORVETTE)
Mule (CAMARO)
Fox (GT40)
You (DODGE)

Ranhammer and Camikaze are reserves with a Dodge and Camaro.

There will be a Camaro #13 Joining the fight today.

I'm only getting 204 down the straights which is a dissapointment.

An I'll be stopping about 36 times here LOL.

the GT40 is really fun to drive once you dial out all the oversteer but I was still down on my Challenger lap times in spite of doing 205 down Mulsanne compared to 196.

I cant make it tonight sorry Furi :(, turns out Im going out for a meal, fathers day n'all that.

Going to open up a little earlier, at quarter past 6 (25 mins time) for qualifying.

EDIT: Opening now, no-one to track until 20 past for qualifying.

Cool, gives me time to have dinner then ;). Will turn up around 6:45pm.

Very disappointed. Kicking myself as my sister turned on the iPad and in that split-second I've realised I lag severely or disconnect so that was disappointing again. I believe this was the cause of my Nationwide disconnect in race 1 too.

I had a fast car and was 12th at the time of DC. Very annoyed and went to race Le Mans in Arcade Mode anyway.

Great race this evening gents. Even though the GT40 is not great in the corners and I ended up 3 laps down I still enjoyed it.

13 finishers from 16 starters, great win from OK for Ferrari and Paul for Corvette, and some amazing pics of when we dared to go 5 wide on the start line at the beginning. All in all the most enjoyable race i've ever had with you guys on GTP, thank you all.

Furi 👍

Guys a fantastic tense race tonight, enjoyed the battles, sorry for any mistakes when lapping people, it's to be expected to have things go wrong for you in a race this long and I'm sure I wasn't the worst to screw up people.

Anyway, this, I'm sad to say is my last race in 3 weeks, as I'm going on holidays. Hope to see you at Daytona in the classic NASCAR, the race of Belgium in the WTCC, or else the V8's finale at Suzuka, as they will be my next races, and I won't be distracted by the Euro's at that stage.;)

:gtpflag:

Qualifying didn't quite work, as I thought I had pole with 27.3 but ended up starting all the way from the back. Climbing through the ranks on the first lap and being in the thick of it on the Mulsanne was great though, and there were no big incidents.

By the start of the 3rd lap I caught up to the leading two Jaguars which initiated a nice fight with JoeOfTheFire. On the lap after that, Spurgy made a small mistake which meant I was in the lead. The Jaguars didn't give up, working together on the straight. Seeing a "double arrow" on my map, closing in on me fast made me really scared.

The tyres of the Ferrari were burning fast, so Spurgy was able to do longer stints. We were always pitting at different times so it was hard to tell who was in front and by how much.

Eventually I managed to build a gap upto 45 seconds, but then one of the most amazing things I've ever experienced in GT5 happened. These are old cars and never very reliable which became apparent as I was really losing top speed on the Mulsanne. My lap times were tumbling, managing high 28s at best, and the Jaguars were gaining fast. I was really nervous, and started pushing even more to try and keep them at bay, and eventually managed to somewhat stabilize the gap at around 35 seconds. With a drop of fuel left in the tank and almost no rear tyres, that's how we finished.

This was the first time I was in an organized race like this where people had mics and it was great, especially during qualifying. Hearing important information from the smooth-voiced Furinkazen during the race was also really nice, almost like having a race director or a commentator. These things cobbled together with the "reliability problems" (after the race the oil had turned dark, though it was in too good a condition to be changed before the race, go figure) made this race truly special, and I'd like to thank everyone who took part in it. :)

OK8

Great win OK8!

I agree that Furi's commentary is great, it is often really key information that Furi is relaying, especially when he is talking about the other drivers he is near and where they are on the track. without a proper gap timing system in GT5 you only ever know where you are compared to the leader, instead of the guy in front and behind you, like it should be. Furi's commentary really kept me up to date on where my competitors in C2 were, definitely made it more relaxing than having to guess.

Great job Furi 👍
