There are many problems with the deficient penalty system of GT5, permitting corner and chicane cutting. On the other hand, the number of interesting GT5 tracks is rather limited. So, here is an idea we submit to your advice.

We ask members to create custom tracks and ask them to submit them for homologation to a track commission. Homologated tracks will be used in regular season races as a complement for the existing tracks. All homologated tracks will be put online by members in order to permit everybody to download them at all time.

Just a quick list of what interests me the most from the proposed list:

BMW 135i Coupé ‘07

I like NASCAR style races on ovals, but not necessarily in NASCAR stock cars.

Favourite Tracks:

3. Superspeedway – Daytona
6. Circuit de la Sarthe 2005/2009
7. Nürburgring Nordschleife
10. Superspeedway – Indy
14. High Speed Ring

Custom Tracks: A. I agree

I'm in US EST time zone, but my availability is subject to change.
I like Sundays best

I don't use the Driving Line aid, but I don't care if other people do.

6. Points system
C. 30-27-25-23-21-19-17-15-13-10-8-6-4-3-2-1
(I don't care about Formula 1 myself.)

B. We should use heavy damage in all series

Thanks.

7. Your remarks, ideas

We could try an event with several short races on some shorter tracks.

For example:
Suzuka east
Grand valley east
Tsukuba
Rome
Eiger
Madrid mini

Say 6 races in 2 hours with a reverse grid start for next race. If you make mistakes in one race you get a new chance in 15 minutes.

Would be great, tight racing with hp and weight restriction and same drivetrain (like the group-N we had) If someone is too fast he can add 50 or 100 kg or change car. It doesn't have to be so serious.

Or everybody uses the same car.

Maybe Sunday evenings uk time would be good for both america and europe.

You have certainly many excellent ideas we didn’t think about. This is the place you can write them down.

I doubt I'd enter any heavy damage series. If the damage model wasn't so flawed, and the chance of someone else ruining your race wasn't so high, it might be ok.

I'd like to see us have the ability to drop one race from a seasons point totals. Everyone has to miss a race now and then for various reasons, having your whole season ruined because of circumstances beyond your control is not fun.

I'd like to see the rolling start, like we use in the Corvette races, used in all series. I do think it should be modified a little though.

…

Thanks for asking for our opinion. 👍

For all those concerned about not being able to make it to a Racing School course, there will be courses at all different times during the summer to allow everyone to get to them. Once our regular events are finished next month, many of them will be replaced with Racing School courses and special events.
