Looks ugly. I really only care if it has a fan, but I'm pretty sure fans are outlawed in the WEC.

Pretty much all racing bans it.

Though the Vettes are thought to have some sort of fan system that operates on the under car turbulence.

Looks like I'm not the only one who thinks that the inMotion is a Red Bull X2010/X2011/X2014 without wings and fans :P
(Speaking of X1s, I think the old engine sounds sound better than the new one)

Seriously, what crazed idiot is going to go for a lap around Nordschleife in that? They want to go faster than a Group C prototype on the most dangerous racing track yet built.

They're nuts.
If I'd had the skill to operate a car like that and had enhough track knowledge, I'd happily do it.. I'd rather die trying something like that than anonymously like 99.9% of the rest people on earth...

Or I'm just weird :P

I think it's just a coincidence these cars are similar. This shape propably gives the best air flow (reducing drag) but with good downforce. Both cars have to obey the same laws of physics and both are trying to get the most of them, so they are likely to have some similarities. It's basically the same reason why stealth planes also look similar to each other.

But if these cars ever race in real life I think it would be something like this:

well, in game it goes 502kmh

i suppose the fan helps by keeping the car on the road adding grip to tires

i always wanted to know how exacly the X1 car works or would work. the aerodynamics, the top speed, engine, fuel tank size, etc ... would it be so fast in real life?

The X1 would work like pretty much any other car. 300+ mph isn't too unreasonable, though the car may need to ditch the rear wing it has in game. For a top speed run it probably wouldn't even need it because of the fan and underbody.

hsv
LSR cars have no need to be pushed into the ground. No power is put through the wheels.
The wheels still add a bit to their stability, so they definitely want to be grounded. At high speed a little lift can be a lot of trouble.
