X1 on oval, wheel shakes like crazy

When I'm driving X1 on the straights of Indy oval faster than 420kmph (about 260mph), the wheel starts to shake like crazy. I already turned the force feed-back strength down to 1, but the shake is still hurting my wrist.

I tried some changes on the suspension (camber set to 0, toe-in max, softer anti-roll bar and every other setup I can think of) and downforce. No use whatsoever.

If I can't fix this, I will have to use 88CV to grind. But that's slower.

Any help?

Reducing spring rate and damper changes may fix it. The "wheel shake" used to happen in GT4 in basically every LMP on stock settings... Lowering downforce somewhat may work as well.

Perhaps the extreme downforce is causing the suspension to compress onto the bumpstops. I'd try a combination of higher ride height, higher spring rates, and lower downforce. I don't have an X1 to test this theory, though.

Based on many threads I've read, that's just what the X1 does. Apparently La Sarthe with no chicanes is really crazy.

Are you using a Logitech? I think everyone is having problems down straights, my Fanatec has a deadzone thing so i can tune it out via the wheel. I dunno about Logitechs..

To Oppsitelock:

I think I tried that too. Also the ride height of X1 is unadjustable.

To GTP_Music:

Maybe racing cars don't have so much wheel feed-back. I don't know.

To TeamLotusGT5:

Yeah, DFP.
