Driving at night is a lot fun. No radio, the windows rolled down, warm Summer-time air blasting all around you, and nothing but a empty road ahead of you... better than most things in life...

👍 👍 Most introspective/pleasurable thing ever.

If you have a "fun to drive" car, it's even better. If I owned a Miata, I bet I'd be on the road, 24/7. :D

I am addicted to creating myself alter ego's.

Bob Lutz is my dad. Together we shall make GM the number one brand as we already make most of the best cars and then we will write a novel about it.

Don't make fun of BX's situation. 👎

My addictions? Mainly GTP. I also have a tendency to go berserk whenever there's no sugar (Oreo's, ice cream, etc.) or chips (Dorito's, Cape Cod, etc.) in the house.

Well, for a "not real" addiction, it would have to be sitting in front of this here computer all the time.

Real would have to be junk food. I must have my chips and pop. It's not an option.

Yes, Prime likes Doritos and Barq's.

My guitars. Anything else I can pretty much go without. I think you could take any other part of my life away before I'd become clinically depressed.

I am addicted to GTPlanet, but I don't think it's something that I medically NEED, like guitar is.

I just found my new addiction. Looking at the ceiling, it can become great fun, recently i found a booger i shot up there when i was like 7, 9 years later it's still there and bigger then ever.

Can I revive this thread after 11 years just to say that I have a fine and fun addiction? It's playing Microsoft Solitaire collection. I actually like playing Patience/Klondike a lot, more than the other card games in this collection.

If the reviving of this thread is not allowed, a mod can remove this post. ;)

It's playing Microsoft Solitaire

I'm a fan of MS Solitaire. I used to be ace at the original version with the proper mouse set up. Some days in the office I'd spend hours playing and was never happy unless I had a sub-minute game.

These days my addictions are YouTube, although I've done well to cut back on that (on a day off I could spend up to 8 hours watching videos), cigarettes and alcohol.

I had a handle on the cigs until my electric cigarette broke and can't buy one here because they're prohibited. Now I smoke a pack every few days.

I've been an alcoholic for years but the last few I've managed well thanks to being dedicated to work. I'm not dependant but I do abuse drink and I turn into an arsehole after just a few beers.

My addiction(s):

-Moe Anthropomorphic Anime girls that relates to vehicles. (Some of you may know, what I'm talking about, from some of my way-earlier posts.)

-Playing as an Archer in any type of Action/Adventure, Hack & Slash, &/or FPS game.

-Historic/Mythological stories from Japan &/or Europe

-Improvisational Music (Ex. Free Jazz)

-UK Jungle/Drum N' Bass Music from 1994 (Even though, I'm not British, nor Rastafarian...)

-Koei Tecmo's Warriors franchise (Samurai Warriors/Dynasty Warriors/Warriors Orochi, etc.)

-Playing GT6 & RIDE 2, frequently.

-Looking at automotive-related Memes.

and...

-Listening to George Carlin's old performances, around the time, leading towards his passing.

EDITED #1(5-7-17): Had to redo the second addiction, to become more clearer.

EDITED #2(5-7-17): Gotten rid of the "useless" information in my 8th Addiction...

EDITED #3(5-7-17): Removed one addiction and rephrased my second addiction.

I have a small addiction to mozzarella cheese. I'll happily eat a pound in one sitting without any ill effects the next day.

That, and pizza logs at work.

Oh, and pissing my time away on GTPlanet or watching stupid YouTube stuff.

Same!!! I love getting bags of mozzarella then just sitting there, doing whatever, while taking small handfuls of cheese at a time.

Literally none of those things are addictions. They're just things you like or like to do.

If you had a pizza addiction (you don't) you'd be eating pizza right now, following on from the pizza you had for breakfast, while thinking of your next pizza, and feeling physically sick if you think you can't have pizza.

How does being addicted to 'playing as an archer in any type of action/adventure, hack & slash, &/or FPS game' even work? "I can't wait until my next time playing as an archer in any type of action/adventure, hack & slash, &/or FPS game. I really need play as an archer in any type of action/adventure, hack & slash, &/or FPS game right now!"?

Ok, now being serious... I don't really think I'm addicted to anything...

Well, there was this time I was super hardcore about Gran Turismo games, with GT3 being my favourite game of them all. I remember it like it was yesterday: I played GT3 every single day for 1 full year. During that time, no other videogame was played on my PS2.

Cheers!

It turns out that I'm not really addicted, probably, to Lorazepam. It's more of a depence than an addiction. In fact, I got the dosage down to 1mg a day coming from 6mg a day.

Looking through this thread from the beginning I don't think anyone was taking it seriously with actual addictions anyways (save for the typical caffeine hook. Or porn.). The very first sentence of this thread is, "Whether it is real or not everyone has some sort of addiction." If anyone was suffering from actual problems of addictions (like good ole meth and stuff) then I don't think GTP would be the place to discuss it anyways.

I have only one addiction and its weird - I'm addicted to weightlifting. I love the feeling of lifting really heavy stuff so much I get nervous, sweaty and depressed when I can't do it for a couple of days - like when I'm spending my holidays in another country or when I am ill.

Its annoying and makes me mad at myself. :boggled:
