Have you seen "The Game"? Wonderful movie where they take a guy and question him and physically test him for about ... a day. So now they know just about everything about him. They spend the rest of the moving using this information against him in a little game that seriously screws with your head.

It's all about how much information you collect on a person. Colors do mean something, and to a degree you can tell someone about themself by the colors they like.

Heh - that's one of my favourites! It's my dad's all-time favourite movie; after we saw it together, he spent days analysing why such a thing would never occur in real life. That's my dad...

You are the sort of person that needs a peaceful environment. You seek release from stress and freedom from conflicts and disagreements, of which you seem to have had more than your fair share. But you are taking pains to control the situation by proceeding cautiously and you are right in doing so as you are a very sensitive person.

You are a true extrovert, frivolous and outgoing. You need to feel in control of any situation. If matters are not proceeding according to plan you tend to get extremely irritable and perhaps become difficult to live with.

You give the impression that you are a self-sufficient individual, pretending that you are stoical - indifferent to pain or pleasure. But this is not so, for in truth you are an extremely emotional person, one that may make hasty decisions and perhaps repent at leisure. It is time now perhaps to break the bond of detachment and become the real 'you' - the you that you would like to be.

You are being unduly influenced by the situation that is all around you. You do not like the feeling of loneliness and whatever it is that seems to separate you from others. You know that life can be wonderful and you are anxious to experience life in all its aspects, to live it to the full. You therefore resent any restriction or limitations that are being imposed on you and you insist on going it alone.

You wish to be left in peace... no more conflict and no more differences of opinion. In fact you just don't want to be involved in arguments of any shape or form. All you want is for 'them' to get on with it - and to leave you alone.

ok.. im not sure if i took the right test... but anyways..

You want to be regarded as an exiting and interesting personality able to persuade others to comply with your beliefs and ideas. You are charming and able to influence other people who come into your sphere of influence. You like mental stimulation and you are the sort of person who is prepared to 'try anything once'. Your confidence is so much so that others are often swept away by your enthusiasm.

Being a somewhat gentle, emotional and sensitive person, you are at this time experiencing a considerable amount of tension. What you really need is someone who can be close to you and to listen to what you have to say.

You are a dreamer and you seek perfection in any relationship that you may establish. Some of your ideas and standards are over the top so it may be a good idea to review your perception of life and accept people for what they are - not for what you would like them to be.

From every direction there appear to be unwarranted restrictions on your freedom of action and this is producing considerable stress. You're really looking for independence and freedom from any restriction and therefore avoiding any obligations or anything which might prove hampering. You are being subjected to considerable pressures and you would like nothing better than to escape from them but you tend to lack the necessary strength of purpose to succeed in this. Whichever way you turn you are being frustrated. You need to be free to do your 'thing' in your own way.

You don't like conflict and you endeavor to avoid criticism. You want to do your own thing and to be able to decide what is right for you. You have considerable personable charm - and this is used with considerable effect on those that keep your company.

which quiz did you people do? I did the Psych test and the Archetype...

my psychological test thing came out fairly accurate...

Your Mood: You feel quite determined at the moment or as others might say stubborn! You feel resolute and want things done your way. You want to exert your will and are prepared to put in the necessary energy.Focus and determined describes your present mood. You are out to achieve your goal and you concentrate on that. Unwavering you want to stick to the target of your ambitions, not completely to the exclusion of everything else, but almost!

Your Present Situation: You really need to take time out at the moment, your life is proving tiring and you seem to need to be on the lookout at all times. There is a real danger of wasting your energy, seek out someone who can help you to calm down and relax. You could do worse than take a romantic weekend break to help you revitalize yourself.Your current situation is causing you a great deal of angst. Somehow you have become over-involved in something that is leading to feelings of stress and doubt. You are at risk of feeling overwhelmed and exhausted.

Your Conflicts: You have no conflicts at the present time

and my Archetype:
The Net
The Net reaches out to the world and pulls in experiences of all forms and kinds. Spontaneous, immediate and active, these people are natural racecar drivers, mountain climbers, skateboarders and skiers. Competitive to a fault, these personalities have a natural tendency to win, whether this is in the business world or on the freeway. In the right context this can be a positive encouragement to those around the Net. In the wrong context it can lead to a pathetic display of ego and misplaced pride.

These personalities at their most intense are always on the prowl for clues as to how to win, in an argument, in a simple conversation, in a placid walk along the lake. Usually this behavior is unconscious or "playful" but the sense of play can rapidly disappear if the Net is found to be losing in the aforementioned contest. If you do outmaneuver this personality however there are rarely any hard feelings. The Net believes in competition and a good competitor is someone to be respected. Only those who don't compete are met with derision.

That's cool. There was an older test when I posted this thread (almost TWO years ago 02-06-02) that is now part of the bigger group where all you do is select color blocks in an order of your choosing. Then it tells you something about yourself.

Well, like most of these things, it's just really vague and pretty much anything you select could be interperated to be you. Whatever you do, don't give them money. It only encourages the problem (:

Smart suggestion - never pay for ANY online personality/psychological/IQ tests because you never know even if they are credible sources. Not to mention you can get things like IQ tests through school counsellors

Pretty scary how accurate it was for me though...

The Map
The Map personality is often deeply and intimately involved in the world. This world however is usually inside his/her own mind. Thoughtful to the extreme, this type is often obsessed with perfection and the rules governing their own personal interests.

They are generally good-natured people, and are often in areas not important to them very easy-going. Step across the line in regard to something the Map deems important however and you will recognize the wrath of the true believer. Principles to the Map are generally black and white. Their understanding of these principles however are always in question. Because the Map personality believes strongly in justice, it will often question its own perceptions, in fear that a mistake could have disastrous consequences. This prevents the Map personality from becoming too dictatorial or didactic.

In fact, I'd say that stuff is close to 100% right-on, although I have no clue what that part I highlighted in red is supposed to mean (the grammar in that sentence sucks).

I may have to take this. That sounds a lot like the way I like to see myself. Try reading the red sentence this way:

"..and, in areas not important to them, are often very easy-going."

I actually did a long search (I was searching using your name and the word "test") which didn't yield any results just a few days ago. Eventually I just did a search of any of your topics ever posted in the rumble strip.
I'm curious Concept, what caused you to dig this thread up?

Ah, that makes sense now... thanks! :D

I was definitely surprised by how accurate it was... that description was pretty much exactly how I'd describe myself.

I'd like to see the science behind that, because it's quite interesting how it seems like a bunch of colored shapes with weird, off-beat questions.
