My first one of these.

Nothing else lately of any note.

Am I dreaming? Two new additions in a row!

New Hyundai Genesis Gr.4

Ending dupe streak: 0
Longest dupe streak: 14
Gift car completion rate: 237/321 (73.8%)

Other cars on the wheel:
- Dupe Mazda Atenza Gr.3
- Dupe Subaru Impreza WRX STI Type S '14
- Dupe Shelby G.T.350 '65

And both these wheels had only a one in four chance too. This along with @MMRivit winning an XJ13 recently while I'm failing to get a plain 2015 Miata for close to three years now gives me confidence that the wheel isn't actually rigged. It's just a matter of luck. With 321 possible cars the odds of the desired one to even show up is only about 0.3%. And that's before the roulette has even rolled ;)

Gonna be pretty honest here: I'm not entirely sold on that idea of the roulette being purely based on luck.

I've been playing for nearly 18 months, not a single time I landed a Gr.2, which you'd expect to be somewhere between Gr.1 and Gr.3 in terms of rarity. Of the three LMP cars I've won so far, two have been gifted twice (one on last year's birthday). I've got three Petronas-flavored W08s, while the Color Variation has only popped up once. I'm still missing four Gr.3s, with three of those I own amounting to about 24 copies. I'm missing four Gr.4s as well, with the Mustang being the runaway inconvenience at 8 copies, with a couple others trying to catch up.

My brother just casually plays every now and then, and even then still has had his share of consistent disappointments like the NSX Gr.B and Ford GT LM Test Car, both of which I miss on my own garage.

Then there's the XJ13. It just sounds too fishy for me to land it before attaining, let's say, something as futile as the Red Pig, which is 10 times cheaper. I just refuse to believe the Brand Central-acquired copy had zero weight in this dice roll, what even are the chances of getting a 20M unicorn versus that Cayman GT4 that eludes me to this day?

Some gifts just seem too convenient to be fruit of pure unbiased luck.

(PS: am missing a Miata as well, except it's the older model)

The Demio is a special case as well. I remember having seen it on the wheel several times and yet the roulette never lands on it.

I can confirm the scarcity of Gr.2 cars as I've only had one of them gifted so far (the 2008 Xanavi GT-R) but I've seen them show up quite a few times more than that. I'm always deleting duplicate cars, so I can't provide any data on that by looking at my garage alone but if you were to look at my posts in this thread you'd get some info on it as I've been posting my daily workouts every day for close to five months now. Since April 21st I have increased my gift car collection from 203 to 237 which averages out at one new addition every four days or so. It certainly feels worse than that however.

I do understand your feeling about the wheel being more likely to give you cars you've already bought but due to the nature of stochastics there's no way to find definitive evidence for that. Maybe ten years from now hackers are going to crack the source code and blow the door wide open on this game as they did last year with GT5. Only then we will truly know

Daily Workout #1049- Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept 2018 (830th double) I really can´t tell if it was one or the two non-dupes, one of them was the Lamborghini Miura, and possibly the other one, it was either the Toyota Tundra TRD Pro (the non-dupe), or the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor (which I already own), since they both look almost the same......

Week LXXV:

04/09 – Chevrolet Corvette C3 '69 ["Fathom Green Metallic"]
05/09 – Volkswagen Sambabus Typ 2 '62 [Gray]
06/09 – Peugeot L500R HYbrid VGT 2017
07/09 – Volkswagen GTI VGT (Gr.3)
08/09 – Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat '15 ["Pitch Black"]
09/09 – Honda NSX Type R '92 ["Sebring Silver Metallic"]
10/09 – Dodge Super Bee '79 ["Banana"]

Struck-through entries denote dupes.

I wasn't even going to comment on this unremarkable week, but there's no way to ignore the fact the Bee's color name is literally just BANANA

Also, rough luck getting a dupe of an already rare Gr.2, especially if it's a 2008 model.

I've maintained a stable flow of at least one addition per week, so it's not really a terrible algorithm, but it sure stings when the game keeps hitting you with X when Y and Z are supposed to be as common. Can't really say anything about what I have "missed" because I don't look at the screen until the circus is over, but I assume quite a few Gr.2s graced it.

As for reverse-engineering it, that could be possible if Circuit Experience operates the same way, I'm not sure if the DW gift RNG is handled by the server or the client.

- New Jaguar VGT Coupé

- New Aston Martin DP-100 VGT

Three new cars on the wheel and I'm getting the duplicate. I guess this is to balance out the succesful one in four chances I had just the other day...

Well, my birthday gift was a Tomahawk. I was expecting the worst and got this. I'm not complaining, I appreciate the car.
Wednesday's DWG was a Porsche 919 Hybrid. Sweet, bagged two LMPs in one day. :v

Of course, to balance out the goodies, I've gotta get baddies, and what do I get on Thursday? The 86 Rally Car. Worsened by the fact that a Cobra Daytona showed up on my wheel. Instantly trashed it and bought something else.

Game, stop with this car. JUST. STOP. I ****ING hate being gifted this thing. What am I talking about? The GT by Citroen GT3. Seriously, 13 of that car. I like how I can get 13 goddamn copies of a GT3 car, but not a single Super GT car. Oh, and the Shelby Daytona came back. Whoever had the arrogance to program the DWG to be so stingy, then expect people to be fine with missing out on unicorns needs to erase himself from this Earth.

I got the LaFerrari and Enzo before, so the F50 shouldn't be out of reach. Oh well, maybe another time.

Been a mixed bag for me this last week.... from the good (AM DBR9 GT1 2010, first gift I think, have one I can sell, not checked) to the not so good (Subaru Isle of Man thingy) to the downright disappointing - birthday gift a Ford Mustang Gr. 4. I didn't think I'd get a worse gift than last birthday (the Gr 3 Subaru) but I think it could be said this is. Honestly, for just ONE day a year you'd think they'd make the gift a little special..... :grumpy:
