Hi everybody! I'm just curious to know which are your favorite real racetracks in the game.
I personally feel the new single player campaign, day/night and weather conditions (and drivatar behavior, but that's another subject altogether!) have created more track selection diversity and have changed my negative opinion about some racetracks that quickly grew stale in past Forzas or were very underused (I'm looking at you VIR and Miami), but please, vote (you can vote for your favorite top 4!) share your opinion and impressions!

(Please notice that I separated the Nordschleife from the GP circuit, for the purposes of this poll.)

You should of let us pick 3. :) I picked Watkins Glenn, but could of picked Laguna Seca(I know that track’s in almost every game, but there’s a reason why, that track is epic), or even Spa.

Nordschleife and Le Mans are pretty much a given as well.

Always been a fan of Suzuka,Nurb F1 track,Mugello and also Le Mans full track.:)
On the down side I dislike,Sonoma and Long Beach.

1) Mugello. I have always loved this track since I first drove it. It just seems like it hits the perfect ratio of twists and straights without being too long.

2) Road America. This track holds a special place in my heart since it's the closest major track to me in real life.

3) Bathurst. I used to hate this track, but than I took the time to learn it and now I find it's a blast.

There are only 2 real tracks I can't stand.

Abu Dhabi because it has no flow. I usually get into a groove as a race progresses, but can't accomplish that here. I will make an exception for the short corkscrew course though as that is decent with lower power cars.

And the Green Hell because it's just to long to be any fun. The GP circuit is alright though.

OH, you're gonna make me choose only 3? I love too many of them. I went with Watkins Glen, Le Mans, Nordschleife. Also love Road America, Spa, Suzuka and VIR. Oh crap even more than that. I don't care for; Brands Hatch (it's ALWAYS raining), Homestead ( you forgot that one ), Long Beach (ooh I HATE THOSE TIRES AFTER THE TURNS!), Hockenheim ( if I can say I'm getting tired of that one). Lime Rock (I had to do the Formula Ford race about a dozen times, the Drivatar cars kept nudging me into the tires on the 1st S curve over and over).

Hey, how about what environments YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE ADDED?
Fujimi Kaido - Oh please! With the Rally Heroes cars or maybe...
Pikes Peak
Tsukuba - I miss this one

Not that it is a favorite, but Homestead isn't on the list.

Mine I chose are, Monza because I'm most consistent there, the ring because it's the best, and Road America because I live about a 6 hour drive from it and it is a fun track to race at.

Oops, sorry, I forgot to add Homestead, I corrected the poll now. I like Homestead during a thunderstorm actually!
I may do another poll about the fantasy tracks or which environment, fantasy or real, we would like back.

My favorite is the GT original trial mountain! After that the Nurburgring (driven it in real life!) , Monaco (why not in the list?) and Spa.

I have seriously fallen in love with Yas Marina in FM7. It's an amazing track.
I'm currently the #1 record holder on Le Mans (Old Mulsanne) in hardcore mode with Hyper Cars, another track I really enjoy.
And of course Nordschleife. We will probably all pick that one.

Likes: Road Atlanta, Mugello, Le Mans Circuit de la Sarthe
Dislikes: Green Hell, anything designed by Hermann "no flow" Tilke

I'd like to see a fantasy tracks past and present thread so we could get to pine for Fujimi Kaido, Camino Viejo de Montserrat Extreme and Rally di Positano some more.

I only cast 1 vote because, for me, its easily Mugello.
I've always loved that track.
I think it was the first Moto GP game I played. I think the demo was on the Mugello track and I played that demo to death!

  • The Mugello - not only because it's the closest thing to a local international circuit I'll ever get from Forza (unless they're secretly planning to add Misano), but because it's a fast circuit with awesome elevation changes, like a version of Brands Hatch for people with a lead foot;
  • Suzuka because it has everything, from technical corners which require some finesse to negotiate (the esses and Degner curves) to high-speed, Jesus-take-the-wheel attractions such as the 130R;
  • The Nordschleife because duh-doi.

Edited... Wrong sim. (Assetto Corsa on the brain. :P)

Nurburgring Nordschleife.

Catalunya.

Road America.

V.I.R. use to be the third pick, but I got tired of the tire walls.

Tough choice, but my 3 are:

1. Lime Rock - A track I've been going to half my life, I'm glad to see it in a game. Sure, mostly right turns and very short, but I love it!
2. Nordschleife - Duh. Just a good track!
3. Watkins Glen - A fast, flowing track I find myself racing on a lot.

  • Bathurst (should really be called Mount Panorama. The Bathurst race is held there). Technical and challenging.
  • Brands Hatch. Beautiful race track that takes advantage of the topography. Also it's the location of the only F1 race I ever attended, the 1983 European GP won by Nelson Piquet in a Brabham-BMW. I stood along the fence about halfway up Pilgrim's Rise. I could see the cars come down Brabham Straight into Paddock Hill Bend, down the hill and up Pilgrim's Rise into Druids, around the Graham Hill bend into the Cooper Straight, then turn into Surtees and out of sight. It was a really great spot to watch the race.
  • Monza. Beautiful historic race track. I just wish we could race on the oval, too.
  • Sebring. Something about this old air field really appeals to me. Long straights, tight corners and plenty of places for passing. It's a challenge but it flows beautifully.
If I had a no vote, it would be Yas Marina. Another soulless Hermann Tilke design.

Here are my 3:
  • Lime Rock. I love the picturesque setting in the countryside. Yeah, it's short and relatively tight, but there's a charm to it that really fits in with historic racing. It's probably my favorite to use when I just like to sit in my living room and play for a few hours.
  • Sebring. Long straights and twisty corners really help define this old runway circuit. When I make my way around that final corner to finish a lap, I really get a sense that I've accomplished something. Seeing all of the campers lining the back straight adds to the "destination" feel as well.
  • Long Beach. Yes, let the heckling begin. This one is a bugger to drive on. As a matter of fact, I actually hate driving here. So why is it on my list? Simple. Having been to the Long Beach Grand Prix, I must admit that it's a fantastic venue to watch a race, and if you've never been, I'd suggest making the trip. There's always something happening on track - whether it's IndyCars, IMSA, PWC, Drifting, Historics, Trucks - it seems like there's never more than 15-20 minutes without on-track action. Listening to the roar of engines bouncing off the nearby buildings is quite an experience as well. Plus, with all of the different types of racing that takes place here - no vehicle really seems out of place in the game. Ok, well, maybe not Limo Bowling.

My 4th vote went to Road America. I just love that one especially for GT cars. The only reason I chose that over Sebring, is the bumpy last turn at Sebring. When my wheels finally hit the home stretch I feel a sense of relief.
Oh and another one I miss is the Sunset Speedway GP course, (well except for that spot where you bottom out when the GP course hits the oval).

After careful consideration, I'm allowing everybody to vote up to 4 of your favorites so you don't agonize too much! :D You can add and your change your votes at anytime!

Aww... And all that agonizing. It was like trying to pick a favorite child. LOL.

I'm gonna stick with my 3. I had to let McCauley Culkin fall of the cliff, on this one.

I've added my 4th vote as Laguna Seca but I honestly could've picked Spa, Long Beach, Watkins Glen, Sebring and on and on...

It would be easier to tell you the tracks I don't like (read: despise).

COTA - horrific
VIR - ghastly. Just cannot get to grips with it
Lime Rock - silly short nonsense
