Only got my G25 a couple weeks ago, the breakfast table that was ok for my DFP is a little wobbly now and far from ideal when I want to use the clutch, but it does the trick. Planning to build some kind of more sturdy table I can put away easily eventually.

Some nice setup's. I have just received my G25 so i will post an update with my new rig setup. Maybe at the weekend.

It's nice to see many G25s here. Many nice and creative setups here....I thought too about building my own setup but...found it simpler to just buy they set.

i am a student so cant afford much. i just have my g25 set up on two knee high tables and sit on the floor. not the most comfortable way but gets the job done.

Here is my set up.

G25, Toshiba 32" @ 1080i, the desk is an old "toy box" that I found in my parents basement. It has steel tubes all around the frame. It was the perfect height compared to my couch. I pulled some of the panels off and just took out the one cross bar where my feet go to the pedals. The weights work good to stabilize the whole thing. It actually works great. *Easy too hide when anyone I know comes over! haha

Some great setups folks, please keep them coming.

The only thing I'd say is that some of you need to tidy your cables a bit better, especially after you've gone to all the effort of creating a racing cocktpit :sly:

My setup is nothing particularly special compared to some of the other setups here! But here it is anyway :P

42" Panasonic plasma
5.1 Sony surround sound
Hyperdrive seat and DFP (with special green string for lashing the pedals lol)

Wow....now that's a cockpit. Jesus I wish I had the money to do that and "SPACE" lol

Cheers mate. But I'm envious of the people who make their own custom ones. THAT'S dedication :)
LOL yeah, space is the biggest issue. I'm glad that there's enough of it for the Hyperdrive :sly:

Anyone using a 'wheelstand pro' as a mount for their G25... and if so, are they any good?

Gotta have a wheel, but it needs to be able to be 'invisible' when not in use due to partner issues!

Ive got the wheelstand pro with the G25, its awesome.

Get it bought you will not regret it, quick posatge too only took 3 days to arrive from Poland. I dealt with a guy called Dominik, he was very professional and replied to every E mail I sent him.

I will upload a picture later of my setup.

quick question for anyone who has a setup like this one

with the vertical pillar holding the wheel ... does that post not interfere with your legs. Say you're using the clutch with your left foot and the brake with your right, then you want to apply left foot braking. Maybe it's fine but it's been sort of putting me off going for a setup like this for that reason.

My wheelstand pro has a centre post that holds the steering wheel mount, and it used to interfeer with my left foot braking.

My solution was......

Take apart the pedals on the G25 and swop the clutch pedal over with the brake pedal, this will alllow you to easily make contact with the brake pedal using your left foot, and drive using the paddles no need to use the clutch or that god awfull, flimsy and tacky feeling manual shifter.

It's not a problem :) but just in case there are 3 sets of holes so you can move the pedal plate to the left or to the right :)

Not a setup per se (although it will be in 7-9 shipping days!), just a note that Amazon has the Playseat Classic in blue on sale for $140 shipped today (6/16). Not sure exactly what the difference is between the Classic and the Evolution, but for $150 less, I find myself pretty willing to try the Classic. :)

Playseat Classic

Playseat Evolution

I have a playseat classic.

The seat fabric is microfiber. The padding is decent, but not really adequate for long sessions. The main disadvantage is that the wheel mount is a bit wobbly.

From what I've heard, the newer playseat mounting is much more stable, but the seat fabric is vinyl.

I've just upgraded my GT5P setup from a Dell 2407WFP-HC 24" 1920x1200 to a Samsung LE-F86 40" 1920x1080.
I'm viewing it from around 2' (50cm at most).

For sound, I alternate between the Logitech Z-5500 THX 5.1 Speakers (daytime), and the Sennheiser HD280 Pro Circumaural Closed Headphones + ButtKicker Gamer on the chair (late at night).

It's far better to see it in motion, so I uploaded 3 short HD videos (MPEG2 1920x1080i 25.00fps 26Mbps, from a JVC Everio GZ-HD7 Camcorder) of PS3's Gran Turismo 5 Prologue running on the TV:

Enjoy. :)

Great setup fafat. I was wondering, how did you get that Ferrari logo in the centre of your wheel? Did you just print something from a site and then paste it on?
