Your most played song?Music

the man who can't be moved.
this is my girlfriend's favourite song, and therefor i can't stop listening to that song!

Over the last year or so it's been this

and this

With about 280 plays each.

If I had a log of songs I listened to all the times in my life it would probably be over 100,000 for several songs.

Assuming 5 minutes per song, that would be, for all intents and purposes, one year straight of one song back to back to back...

There's way too much good music out there to do that.

Of course there's a lot of crap, too.

I never realized how long that would be. I mean I've got weeks worth of music if I played it as one playlist and let it go until it was done.

You got to remember I listen to the songs once or twice daily since I got an mp3 player in 2008, and I was using cassettes before that, etc.

i believe my most played song is Whispers in the dark by Skillet.
It is in fact my favorite song and has been for about 4 years.

So that would still work out to 1500-3000 plays since 2008. You'd still have 30-50 years to go to hit 100,000.

Having said all that, I'm closing in on 400,000 songs played since 2007, which would be an average of 20 times per song. However the playcounts for my most played songs are only in the 70's according to my music player. Unfortunately though, it counts "Do You Believe in Magic" (for example) from one album separately than the same song from another album; the total would be over 100. Plus its appearances on a couple of "Greatest Hits of the 60's" type albums.

According to my last.fm "Hammer Smashed Face" by Cannibal Corpse, "Kotkapojad" by Metsatöll, and "Halloween" by Helloween are my top played songs.... but I don't listen to music on my PC often, so it doesn't get updated as much.....

Almost all the music I play on my cell phone, so my most played songs should be "All Apologies", "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "In Blood" all by Nirvana. Even now I'm listening to Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Alice in Chains at the moment.

At least those that are actual songs... I listen more to Pokemon songs from the anime, when I'm driving alone I have Pokemon instead of Metal, so in reality my most played mp3 are called "Pokemon No Namae ka? BW" "Nana Iro Achi" and "Te wo Tsunago" - at least 8 times a day each.

Factoring in all the gazzllions of plays from when I was little into today? I'd say it would be roughly 3 times the figure you suggest lmao

👍 I've listened to that way too much. I personally liked this one better but both were great:
*Escape 700*

I've watched that movie a bunch of times just for the Soundtrack. My personal favourite song from Hanna is 'Escape Wavefold'. 👍

2: Radiohead – Idioteque (496 Plays)

I've had to reset my iPod recently so these stats are probably off.

Most listened to song: Little Wing, Jimi Hendrix, which is weird because I haven't listened to that song in a long time.

Also, 35 of my top 50 listened to songs are songs by The Beatles. :)

Also approaching 2,000 plays of the same band.

I have multiple songs that are played almost everyday.

Following:
I Wanna Go by Britney Spears- used for racing music because of the bass.
More by Usher- Don't know why.
DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love by Usher- racing music.
ThatPower by Will I Am- nice bass.
Rockstar by Nickelback- Favorite song.
Sex Type Thing by Silva I think- used it as racing music since GT2 came out.

For the duration I've had this laptop (a few weeks) my most played song is the GRiD theme tune (I listen to it when I get pissed off, it calms me), it has 35 plays. Next most played is All Is Numb by 32 Leaves with 20, then Burn My Dread and Genesis (by Justice) are tied for third with 19. Fourth is Abba Zabba by Cirrus with 15, and coming in at fifth is The End by Roadrunner United (the album where almost the whole label worked together) with 11 plays.

In List Form

1. GRiD Theme Tune - 35
2. All Is Numb - 20
3. (tie) Burn My Dread and Genesis - 19
4. Abba Zabba - 15
5. The End - 11

Results would be much different with my MP3 player (iPod touch or my Vita depending on the day)

That's actually one of the songs I've been listening to the most lately as well. It's a shame the English cover version was more popular, at least in the US.

Mine would be a close one between bleed it out by linkin park and aint as good as I once was by Toby Keith. Yes two completely opposite types of music. Ahhhh I love having that kind of problem.

Aston Martin Music - 730 plays. I know every bit of the song at this point. my favorite rap song of all time.. this song was like a love at first listen for me... song is super magical

Granted, that's only from May 2013 when I built my computer and imported all my music. In my whole life it's probably some lame Aerosmith song or something.
