Just wanted to make a personal opinion thread on this seeing no one else has done it,
What would your reaction be like if you got up one morning checked the GT news and found a 100% confirmed launch date for GT5 within the next 7 months? explain,
I would personally be shocked for atleast 30min starring at the News , before then being overfilled with excitement and joy

Tbh, considering Amar's thread I kind of expect a release date within the next 7 months so I wouldn't be that surprised - but I'd be happy for sure.

Dont know whats up with pre ordering games but is it me or is it really rare to walk into a store and have them say its sold out 1 hour into launch?, because I did so with Killzone 2 which was one of the most pre ordered games on the Ps3, got my mum to pick up a copy in the morning she had no issues at first store she went to :S?, usually the only time I pre order is when you get something as an extra like with Super mario galaxy got the whole Collectors edition guide book with the game for free for alltoghtr only 89au cheaper then the usual rrp for launch games at 99au

Be relieved to hear some actual official GT5 news finally rather than just GT5P, GTTV and general GT news.

GT5 itself has hardly been officially mentioned really.

Like some of the folk here, I still expect GT5 to be released by Christmas in the west - or possibly early 2010. Amar has almost guaranteed that we're going to get some serious news by E3, and I expect part of that to be a (fairly) solid release date, or window.

But then again, this is Gran Turismo, subject to that annoying affliction known as delay-itis. Plus, this is undoubtedly the most ambitious Gran Turismo yet, so a delay isn't out of the question. So news of a release by holday 2009 would indeed be a shock, and I'd be another one of those people breaking speeding laws getting to a store for a pre-order.

I like pre-ordering but it's more of a convenience thing, I normally have it payed off by the time it's released so all I have to do is walk in, grab it from the counter and leave.

My first reaction would be. OOH SWEET IM GOING TO GO RESERVE THE GAME ASAP!

then i would realize i dont have a ps3 and that im waiting for the gt5 bundle...

then i go back to feeling like **** becuase they will confirm a bundle until the last minute its released.

There really needs to be a fantastic special edition of such an epic game.

Well if it is more then 7 months I would not be annoyed IF we get as much content as we did with Gran turismo 4, but if we waited another year or more and I found out that I was getting half of whats in Gt4 (Content wise) my personal reaction would not be shouting and jumping around it would change quite abit i think it would be more like me fuming and my fist going through my PC monitor and my ps3 getting reversed over by my car .

But for your 2nd point I think we all should know what we are waiting for now , I really hope its ot more then Cars,Tracks, online, damage as anything else might make it take 2 more years so save it for GT6 IMO if there is one in my life time that is.
