Another thread revival!!! :)

Never heard of that site before. What I use to play Yugioh! online is a program called Yugiohpro... just google it and try, it's very cool đź‘Ť

As for a deck update, 2 months ago I got Obelisk, now I'm only missing Slifer :dopey:

I've got 4 of the 5 pieces of Exodia, I'm just missing one of the limbs. How much are these cards worth now?

Anyways my deck is based of the absolutely horrible Vehicroids and I'm just missing Supercharge and Barbaroid to complete that set.

So, after a few days delay, here are my latest aditions to my collection:

WP_000320.jpg
-Relinquished + Black Illusion Ritual + Thousand Eyes Restrict

WP_000321.jpg
-Slifer the Sky Dragon (It was the only Egyptian God Card I was missing)

WP_000322.jpg
-Harpie's Pet Dragon + Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight + Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon

WP_000323.jpg
-Dark Magician (Arkana Version) + Black Skull Dragon

WP_000324.jpg
-Cosmo Queen + Chakra

:)

Does anyone have any recommendations for buying cards online? I tried Troll and Toad but some of the stuff they have can't be shipped outside the US.

Ebay maybe???

Some guys here in Mexico (look for mercadolibre.com.mx) ship to other countries, maybe you should check it out, too.

Heh, dunno why I haven't thought about eBay yet.

Toywiz.com use to offer a lot more cards. Now it's virtually barren. I can't find a good site for OCG cards either.

Well, they sell just about anything in eBay :)

There was this Yugioh! site that used to sell cards back in the day... but I can't remember the name... :ouch: It's been at least 8 or 9 years I don't visit it... :ill:

That's a nice collection you have right there! :)

I've pulled several high rarity cards in my life, too: 1st was a Toon Mermaid, then I got a Serpent Night Dragon, and then I got a Dark Magician of Chaos :)

I've been dying to pull a Dark Magician of Chaos since forever. Eventually I gave in and just bought it as a single.

So many IOC packs...

Yugioh was always my brothers thing until I saw the abridge Yugioh though my brother stopped when the show went into ZEXAL.

I don't really collect the cards especially when most aren't even in stores where I'm from however I found a really good site to play the game (though the gameplay is almost 100% manual) www.duelingnetwork.com/

Currently use a deck with Cyber Dragons that works around Fusion, XYZ and the new Pendulum Summoning. I find Synchro woul be too much and the most complex summoning method so I stopped at 3.

I personally love the new summoning mechanics. They each add a new layer in the strategy of the game and gives you new things to try. and with the new Arc-V era. Every old summoning method except Ritual is upgraded and given attention again. ESPECIALLY FUSION!

I started Yesterday. It was confusing the first time duel to the Manual Gameplay and that I didn't know about Tribute Summoning but people there seem to be nice enough to help me and give me tips to be a better duelist.

What is this nonsense?

RIP in peace Yu-Gi-Oh. The game isn't the same anymore since the introduction of Synchros.
I really think the only issue was that when Synchros were introduced, they stopped caring for Fusions. Though this generations has helped the issue. With really good cards involving Fusion.

Though there are still some OP kinks though the card you showed is not even close to OP, (compared to the originals, maybe it is but it is in equal ground in the new generation) Look at this XYZ Pendulum Monster if you want OP.

Translated (from Yugioh Wiki:
Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon

Pendulum Effect
Once per turn, if you do not have a card in your other Pendulum Zone: You can choose 1 Pendulum Monster from your Deck and place it in that Pendulum Zone.
Monster Effect
2 Level 7 Dragon-Type monsters
If you can Pendulum Summon Level 7 monsters, you can Pendulum Summon this face-up card from your Extra Deck. If this card is Xyz Summoned by using an Xyz Monster as any of its Materials: This card can make up to 3 attacks during each Battle Phase this turn, also destroy as many Level 7 or lower monsters your opponent controls as possible, and if you do, inflict 1000 damage to your opponent for each monster destroyed by this effect. If this card in the Monster Zone is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can destroy all cards in your Pendulum Zones, and if you do, place this card in your Pendulum Zone.

My gripe with new cards since the GX era is how generally overpowered they are. Synchros, Xyz, and Pendulums from 5D's and beyond have only made the problem exponentially worse. Of course, it's merely a preference, but I don't like how quick the game has become with the newer cards. Old Yu-Gi-Oh! is more fun in my opinion.

I guess they either wanted to make counters for cards like, the God Cards and B.E.W Dragon or its there way of moving forward with new things to make the game fresh. Though I know a lot of old cards that are still pretty difficult from playing Dueling Network.

Sorta thread revival.

After playing through Dueling Network for a bit, I started to understand where @1241Penguin was coming from. Sometimes I ended up pretty much losing after a few turns because my opponent ends up Summoning 5 Powerful Monsters (without Pendulum Summoning) using cards with effects that are pretty much in Paragraphs. Though what I find the worse is with all those monsters with the "can't be destroyed by battle or card effects", whenever someone uses this, I can't do anything at all unless I can Summon Cyber Dragon Infinity which I find kinda rubbish because the fun of Yugioh was about trying to overcome your opponents Monsters. Not trying to summon something invincible in 1 or 2 turns. I still love to play the game casually but I can see the huge Power Creep that has come with this game.

Honestly, if I was to do my best counter this Power Creep, it is to come up with a Summoning Method that handles the issues I have stated. Though this can't make the entire game balanced again, I say it would be a working progress.

Behold my idea of; Crossover Summoning

  • Crossover Monster Cards are in Red
  • You do a Crossover Summoning by using a new type of Monster (don;t have a name but kinda like Tuner Monsters). You then use it and one of your opponents monsters to "Crossover" and Special Summon a Crossover Monster from your Extra Deck with the same level as the level of the opposing monster you used to Crossover. Allowing to take out those "Can't be destroyed Monsters" and easily level the Swarming Playing Field.
  • Crossover isn't considered destroying or using Materials so Pendulum Monsters go to the Graveyard instead of the Extra Deck
  • Xyz Monsters are immune to being Crossover-ed due to the fact that they don't have Levels (need to give this a weakness).

Not that I'm questioning or doubting you, but are the god cards legit? I remember back in middle school someone brought in a counterfeit Slifer before. Well, he claimed he had the resources to forge cards and I don't recall see if that one was real or not. How much were they acquired for and how much do you feel is a comfortable asking price for them?

The game isn't the same anymore-

Of course no game is going to be the same over that long period of time. Designers naturally have to change things up to keep the market fresh.

There are 2 types of God Cards, the unusable collectables which are have the cards coloured in their main colour (Slifers card being red etc.), these cards are not permitted for Tournament Play due to a lack of any infor on these cards and are onky meant to be collected, HOWEVER, some local tournaments will allow Obelisk the Tormentor as long as you sacrifice 3 monsters beforehand.

Then you got the cards that are Legal for Tournament Play, these cards actually have all the gameplay details on the cards but they lose their unique card colours.

They're legit, especially with how easy they are to obtain now days. Plus they did remakes of them a couple years back through the same shounen that gave them away in the first place. The circulation for many of these cards isn't as low as it once was. I remember when Cyber Stein was worth 5k...now it's worth five cents(not literally, but the price has dropped orders of magnitude).

Actually, the Winged Dragon of Ra is not legit, it doesn't have the same artwork as the real Winged Dragon of Ra.

Yes it is, read my post again and you'll see why. It's the same artwork as the rework version JUMP-EN045

http://www.trollandtoad.com/p305146.html

My post also isn't highlighting that single user, but trying to put @AOS- at ease due to the relative simplicity in obtaining these cards due to remakes and over production because of desire by fans to own them.

I also follow the new cards the JUMP series continually releases and use to own several of them myself before burning them to ash

They've seen better days

That reminds me, Yugioh ARC-V is currently the only Yugioh that doesn't have its own Kuriboh. 5D's has Kuribon while Zexal has Rainbow Kuriboh.

Guess unlike the Pikachu clone trend the Kuriboh clone trend is dead

I see but than the original collectable only cards are still very rare, the remakes only apply to the tournament legal cards.
