So who's in today?

11 May - 20:00 BST - Mini Clubman Vision Gran Turismo

Tires: Racing Hard
  1. Apricot Hill, Random Weather
  2. Brands Hatch GP, Random Weather
  3. Indy Road Course
As we are driving with Racing Hard tires and there is a chance of rain in the first two races, you can start or switch to Intermediates or Rain tires. As the racing tires wear out pretty fast, i predict a tire-gamble... ;)

I will open a room in the lobby approx. half an hour before the races.

See you all on track! :)

Great races and battles, Brands Hatch had that weather surprise, congratulations @Cu3e for winning the tire poker! :) @amarynceos took the overall win with consistent performance and being a gentleman as always.

Looking forward to the next event, hope to see more of you there. :)👍

Well I may join you guys next week. Project CARS may be good, but at the moment it is missing vital multy player features. Makes you appreciate what GT6 offers in that regard. The only problem is that I need to switch cables between the PS3 and the PS4 and I hate doing that.

On the menu today:

18 May - 20:00 BST - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR T.M. EDITION '00 (or Special Color Pack)
Tires: Sports Hard
  1. Ascari - Random Weather
  2. Deep Forest
  3. Eiger Nordwand Short Reverse
I had Zero Practice with these combos, but hey, this is the Zero Cup, right? :P
Lobby room will be open approx. half an hour before event start.

To keep the schedule packed, here is the next event:

1 June - Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta passo corto CN.2521 '61
Tires: Comfort Soft
  1. Rome Reverse
  2. Madrid Reverse
  3. Côte d'Azur
It's an expensive car, but it's well worth it! It's certainly cheaper than this one: :D

That was kinda the thought behind using the same tracks from week before. No need to practice ;)

I'll be there!

Edit: also great tracks for that rally feel :D

Room closed, race postponed until next week!

25th May 1. June - Renault Sport Clio V6 24V '00
Tires: Comfort Soft
  1. Trial Mountain
  2. Matterhorn Riffelsee
  3. Nürburgring Nordschleife (Random Weather)

Can i just ask a (probably dumb) question?

Why do you guys just not run the "Makeshift Shuffle" and "ZeroCup" as one (under the one thread)...? I know they are different setups, but do they not essentially offer a similar racing experience?

Its sad to see that the numbers have dropped in both, but this is expected i guess with the evolution of games/consoles etc.

please don't take my comments the wrong way, I have great respect for all the work that all you guys put into organizing these cups/championships/events etc.

There surely must come a time when we turn out the lights, close the doors behind and inevitably move on... :(

Second question... @WarriusZero what system are you playing PCARS on, and do you have any plans for running any championships/cups etc??? I've not noticed anything, but have to confess i'm not the most thorough at looking through the forums.

PM if you want to keep the discussion out of this thread.

Laters Guys, hope to see some of you in GT6 soon ;)

Regarding your first question, the decision remains with the people still racing on GT6. I no longer have a say about that and that's a good thing.

I play on PS4 and stay offline for now, as I don't have a set time and day for playing anymore. These compromises one way or the other are part of living a married life. For a while my wife has been putting up with my set schedule and for a while I will put up with not having one. :)

This situation (which I am actually enjoying) is unlikely to change for the time being.

I feel ya, I'm married with two young kids, it's amazing I'm able to get on at all!!!
This has been the sole reason I've not been able to take part in the zero cup for such a long time... I find myself competing with the late night owls of Europe or the guys in the states.

As for PCARS, your not missing much at the most (IMO), just not really feeling the love for the online side of the game yet, hence why I still race in GT6 I guess!

Ha, to be honest i thought about putting up a new public Zero Cup club. I tinkered a bit with the event generation in my private club, and the procedure is quite time consuming. The events can not be copy/pasted from a template and have to be created from scratch every time. I wanted to add TT events that run up to the Monday races so that everybody can take some practice, but for now it's too much hassle to do.

But the club is private for now, so if anybody wants to join an invitation from @WarriusZero is necessary. I don't think this should be a problem, but if it keeps new racers from joining and the old bunch has no interest or has moved on to Project Cars we might as well run the Zero Cup in the Makeshift Shuffle Club lobby. What do you think?

@WarriusZero, @hobbsy, i know the problem of trading time for my little hobby for time with my better half. For now i'm happy with my schedule and the fun i have with the races.

You can copy settings as Club Owner Settings. Then choose from there as a template.

Club Events - Manage Event Settings - System Storage

Hilight a setting, hit triangle for Menu and Upload to Club Owner Storage.

Then when creating Event load settings and then do the changes

Aaah, got it, thanks @Cu3e! Didn't know that you could change the settings of an event after loading from club storage.
Might be manageable after all... so stay tuned! :D

EDIT: @hobbsy, i think the racing experience is different for both clubs, as the Shuffle races are more about sprint races and throwing you into random cars, the Zero Cup is about longer races where you can practice beforehand and get to know the car more thoroughly. But i think they cater to the same people, if you like Shuffle you'll like the Zero Cup and vice versa.
