Hot on the heels of an early DLC pack release, Amazon has showed Turn 10’s hand for the long-awaited return of Porsche to the Forza Motorsports series.
First pointed out on the official Forza forums – and in turn brought to our attention here on GTPlanet by community member @JC_Dude – it appears the online retail giant has pre-empted an official release by Turn 10. Found here, the listing highlights some interesting details: the car count will split the difference between Forza 4’s count of 30, and Horizon 2’s smaller collection of 10. The 2015 Le Mans-winning 919 Hybrid is mentioned, alongside the 1957 356A Speedster. The 2014 918 Spyder (seen in Forza Horizon 2’s Porsche pack) shown in the listing means that car is a safe bet for inclusion as well.
Of the 20 cars, 9 will be new to the XBox One. Extrapolating from that, one of the 12 Stuttgart machines featured in FH2 won’t be returning (the game saw the 2012 911 GT2 RS and Cayenne Turbo added for free). It also doesn’t clarify which, if any, of the 360-era cars will be getting a revamp.
Intriguingly, Virginia International Raceway will join the track lineup, with seven variations arriving, all with both night and wet options. The undulating circuit ranges from 1.10 miles (1.77 km) in length for the Patriot Course layout, to 4.20 miles (6.76 km) for the Grand Course, and plays host to races on both two and four wheels. While it sadly fell a few years ago, surely some players will be hoping the famous oak tree is present and accounted for…
The Porsche pack also promises to expand the current Leagues, Hoppers, and Rivals events, while new Achievements totalling 250 points will be available to players. There will also be a new Anthology volume in the career mode for players to explore the brand’s history.
According to the listing, the Porsche Expansion pack will retail for $20, and will be available March 1. Expect more news as it becomes available.
Head on over to our FM6 section to discuss this and other news!

I bought the Porsche pack for FM4, but I won’t get this. I already paid big money for the ultimate edition WITHOUT the physical disc and goodies. In general, FM6’s car pass is disappointing. Of all the car packs to date, these are the only cars I care about: Holden VL Commodore, Ferrari 250LM, Alfa Romeo Milano QV. Not to mention that MANY cars I loved in Forza 4 have disappeared: Alfa Romeo Montréal, Austin-Healey, Chevrolet Corvair, Corvette Z06 2006, Citroen DS3, DS4, DeTomaso Pantera (!!!), DeLorean (!!!), Ferrari FXX, F40 Competizione, Gumpert Apollo S, Civic 1.5 VTi 1994, Civic Si Coupe 1999, Lotus Esprit Turbo 1980, Mornan, Mosler, NOBLE (!!!), Opel Speedster, Panoz Esperante (!!), all the RUF (!!!!!), Rossion, Saab (!!), Shelby Series 1 (!!), Spyker, TVR Tuscan S…….for licensing issues probably, but they still disappeared, while GT keeps adding. How many cars did PD removed between GT5 and GT6? One or two maybe?
Because GT is using ps2 assets, that’s embarrassing and sad it will continue over to PS4. On the other hand FM has rebut everything. They’re doing it right and better.
Sounds like T10 is trolling you and only you hardvibes. Maybe you said something on twitter or facebook trolling Dan and he’s taking those cars out just to spite you and only you. It’s all about you buddy.
So spiteful johnnypenso. What? Did I touch your favourite series? Believe it or not I have my own opinion…sometimes I’m pro PD and sometimes pro T10.
The time of “I like your comment dissing PD and praising T10, high five” has finished.
Only stupid people never change their minds.
Here, have a cookie and take a seat.
Oh and as ImaRobot told you a year ago “Take your own advice, please.”

I’d be happy with just a 928 and a Gulf 917 meself.
Did they have this deal locked down with Porsche before FM6 was released and just kept it tightly under wraps until now? I seem to remember reading an article about such a circumstance for the Porsche expansion pack that was released for FM4.
Just curious, as I have only a lowly Xbox 360 and it sits on a shelf gathering dust…
Edit – By ‘they’ I mean Turn 10 Studios, and by Porsche I mean Porsche…or EA…or PoschEA…you know what I mean
It’s been known for a long time a Porsche pack would be coming to FM6. When and what it would include wasn’t.
@BoneSawTX
Thanks very much. Since I moved away from the FM series after 4 I haven’t done much looking into the news as such. I appreciate the information.
Just read the Amazon listing which says 20, so why can’t we get the other 10? EA not letting the licence share for the 10 that were agreed for only Forza Horizon 2?
Licensing and I’m sure the 10 not in aren’t model to Xbox one standards.
Can someone make this clearer then how many Porsche we’ll be missing out on. If there were 30 in Forza 4, and 10 in Forza Horizon, Xbox One get 9 new cars? Does this mean we get 29? or only 19? or what? These numbers are confusing my poor math brain??
20
The 919 Hybrid 2015 was mentioned? Lucky FM6 players. I would love love love to try that albeit in PCars. A Porsche Pack is an amazing addition to any game.
Surely the guaranteed success of this Porsche Pack will show PD what can be done for their future games.
What about Circuit de Paul Ricard?
It’s about time we get it on Forza 6!
Thanks Kyle!
Fingers crossed for the Cayman GT4…
My Guess is that the pack will be 50% off for VIP members like Storm Island was.
Virginia will most likely be available to all players like it was with Long Beach and the Ring in Forza 5.
I was actually hoping for this track, next they add Alabama ;)
Wow, hopefully this means the rumors of the EA/Porsche license madness being over are true. Hopeful we’ll finally see Porsche in GT Sport. It’s North Korea level ridiculous that it’s taken this long (and honestly I’ll never believe it until I’m actually driving a P car in the game.)
PD and porsche have allready a great relationship, so Porsche can easily be in GT sport and no as a expansion (LEIPZIG can be included too), we will have to see any news first, but that are my thoughts.
PD and Porsche have a great relationship? Based on what exactly? Explain how Porsche can easily be in GT Sport?
@Fredzy, this is not the first time Porsche has been in the Forza franchise, all the while with the rights remaining with EA. There’s zero evidence that anything has changed.
@Johnnypenso I know this is an old one, but https://www.gtplanet.net/kazunori-yamauchi-porsche/
@JP, I know there was Porsche in Forza, then not, then some, then not, now again. Pretty sketchy relationship. I do agree that there is zero evidence of any relationship between PD and Porsche.
I’m almost certain Porsche has been in every Forza to date, besides FM5.
Fingers crossed for the 962!
Curious, what dont you like about it?
I feel someone pulled out their trolling boat
I can’t afford an XB1, that is what I don’t like about it.
VIR? Ok, now I’m jealous. Man, why can’t Turn 10 steal someone else physics guys like PD stole Forza’s audio guy? I feel like Forza is all for nothing due to its subpar physics. If it had AC’s or even pCars physics it would be the best sim ever
Why T10 need to steal when physics in Forza is better than GT since Forza 3?
PD never stole T10 audio guy – same guy working on Forza audio since FM3 (to lazy to look for links)
pCars has better physics than FM? ROFL – thats something new to me
If only AC or pCars had even half..no – even 1/3rd cars from FM (with all auto vistas, audios etc) maybe they would have sold more than 300K copies (AC)
Fm is very good for what it is and certainly better than GT (thats coming from a guy who still playing very first GT)-PD will need years to catch T10.
Not to mention brilliant DLC’s for FM6,and now this Porsche Pack.
Gotta love new track and 20 Porsches.Still waiting on GT7 announce tho ;)
Have to disagree with cfc there…FM6 is the first one that comes close to GT’s handling and is a pleasure to drive but the rest get progressively worse until the ‘TV out the window’ stage is reached….and often passed!! Strangely Horizon has a different feel to it and handles well too.
Well it looks like I’m gonna have to take that back…I just took the two MG’s in FM4 and the Mazda #16Dyson Racing B09/86 in FM3 out for a spin and everything felt great…I’m sure FM2 and FM1 were worse though, which is what you said in the first place CFC….so sorry about that.
Odd, the thing I care about the most in the article is whether or not the oak tree was put in VIR.
I’m curious about the oak tree, too.
Fingers crossed for a 917 & 2015 911 GTLM
