Microsoft has released the demo for Turn 10’s upcoming flagship racer. Weighing in at anywhere from 17 to 22GB based on location, the taster introduces players to the game ahead of its October 3 release.
Earlier today, we took a look at the first 15 minutes of Forza 7. That is, essentially, what players will find in this demo. As a refresher, that means these scenarios, all as two-lap exhibitions:
- 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS at Jebel Hafeet
- 2015 Mercedes #24 Tankpool Racing Truck at Mugello
- 2015 Nissan #1 MOTUL AUTECH GT-R at Nürburgring
The one switch is that in the final game, the Super GT Nissan race takes place at Suzuka. You’ll also get to avoid all the voiceover work, too.
In addition to the on-road experience, the demo gives a brief taste of the avatar customization. Turn 10 has massively expanded this from FM6 (and Horizon 3), offering over 300 different suits for players. These range from traditional racing coveralls to some decidedly silly options.
Word in our community is that wheel support is a bit hit or miss, at least on the PC. On XB1, we can confirm the Fanatec CSL Elite works with the new XB1 P1 wheel attached. We’ll have our thoughts on the demo available soon.
