GT Academy 2012 Participants Drive 2 Million Miles in 24 Hours

GT Academy 2012 has been online for just over a day now, and the numbers coming in are staggering: in the past 24 hours, over 63,000 players from around the world have driven over 2 million miles, in over 3 million attempts at the mini-game’s 10 available time trial challenges.

That’s the equivalent of driving completely around the Earth more than 80 times, or driving to the moon – and back – over 4 times! Considering there’s still over 53 days left in the competition, the final totals should be even more impressive. Live statistics and leaderboards are now available online if you’d like to keep an eye on your rankings while away from your console.

Nissan has also released a new television commercial today, which will likely attract a much wider audience to the competition beyond the typical Gran Turismo fan.

GTPlanet’s own GT Academy 2012 Forum has also been bustling with activity, so stop by if you’d like to pick up some fresh hints or tips. Once again, good luck, everyone!

OBITUARY! —- GT 5 is DEAD!!!*** Look at the “Forza.Net” and notice the type of cars are in the Game. and please everyone I know quality when I see, and GT 5 is way behind. GT Academy, please!! so what, not everyone will win.

Put some quality Tracks, Cars, decals, etc.

GT 5 is SOFT!! lets face it, when was the last DLC.
PD Kaz you need to wake up!!!!

    1. Quakebass

It’s pretty obvious that GT Academy is the reason for lack of or delayed DLC… I really don’t see how this isn’t clear… But yes, GT5 WAS a disappointment (in terms of the GT series), but it really isn’t that far behind, if at all. Obviously, SOMETHING keeps bringing me back to it, and not letting it gather dust. But it could’ve been better than it already is.

  3. Quakebass

Is the GT Academy clock not working for anyone else? It’s been down for the entire day here, I don’t know if it’s the site or Safari doing it.

  4. Jareski

To get the prize cars, you have boot up GT5, then go to the DLC area and download the car(s), the same you would with the DLC content off the PS Store.

  5. Youngun

Coming back to the comment i made earlier, R34 GTR GT Academy is likely to appear as theres a picture of one in the ‘Whats New’ -> ‘Our Picks’ section (well on mine anyway) also is the Nismo 370z 2012 GT Academy, im still hoping for the other 4 to be 350z GT 313, Sebastien Loeb’s ORECA-Nissan LMP2 or Deltawing, GTR Track Pack, and the Juke-r which IS now a limited run production car of 30 @ £100,000+ so could be a introduced possiby (as it does compete with ferrari’s, lambos, mclarens etc on performance) and the production model will have to tweaked engine and chassis of the 2012 GTR so why shouldnt it be in the game if PD are so close with Nissan???

  6. zm096

How do you claim the Prize car??? It says that the details are on the official website but I cant find it on gran-turismo.com need some Help please

  7. mobiletone

Did they do something with the wheel drivers? My Logitech DF Wireless is now waaaay oversensitive in Academy compared to the full GT5 game. i had to dial it down to -2 setting just so the wheel was usable, still not enough though. Gold all the way in first two rounds mind.

Also, having to adjust Traction Control/ABS down EVERYTIME i start a new event was tedious.

  8. blackzc

Wow, haven’t been here in a while, life keeps me busy. But im kicking as in the ranking (top 1%) Just stopped in to see if there was a overall ranking page for GTAcademy and what do i see?. Superior measurements of distance and the oh so tired GT5 didn’t live up to the hype debates. Ah well, that’s the internet for you. Take care guys, it will be a while before i stop in again. Yall should stop crying on boards and get to racing. Things get tight at the top, every tire scrub counts.

  9. Youngun

Leaf gt academy no surprise, Silvia spec r welcome surprise, 350z gt academy possible surprise, R34 gtr gt academy expected surprise, juke gt academy wanted surprise and cube gt academy fun surprise lol
    and round 8 370z, round 9 r35, round 10 ?? Deltawing?? maybe, just maybe

    1. mcfizzle

But you’re missing the point. No game has half or evven a quarter to it of it’s install base still playing 18 months later. Games get big sales, lose a lot of players within a couple months and then kind of even out with the diehards still playing. Do you think 10 million people still play MW3 or is it a steady but much lower number of people? A better clue of how well GT5 did with sticking with people is the first DLC sold over one million units, one year after the game released. They weren’t clear if that was the bundle or all units sold, latter being more likely, but those are still great numbers.

And why is lack of participation in the seasonal from people who still play the game shocking? People will do what they want and with this game there are so many options people will spread all over. Not everyone enjoys TT’s, tuning, or rockets like the 905 and 2J. All just my opinion though.

    2. MyFavoriteGame

^ ok point taken,…I guess it is typical,… but I still think that GT5 could’ve done better with keeping its audience, not just the diehards, but the newcomers and casual as well.

    3. mcfizzle

Question is how? No game does a good job of it, people are always moving on to the next game. Hype builds for a game, people get excited and buy it, and then a week later they wonder when the next big title comes out, just the nature of the industry. But I’m sure GT has a converted a lot of new people, in fact most of the people I play with online had never played a GT before this one. I know my friends list is not a good sample size though.;)

    4. Quakebass

@Youngun: There isn’t round 9 or 10… What are you getting on about? I have a feeling GT Academy will progress as it is now – Leaf, Silvia, maybe 350 or 370Z, (or a skyline sedan followed by these), maybe tuned variants, then some sort of GT-R… (obviously), then maybe a racing GT-R. We’ll see in due time. I’d love new car additions as a surprise, but it’s unlikely.

    5. Youngun

@Quakebass a sh!t, my bad, wasnt paying attention but yeh, i was thinking uping power everytime and went to far, but juke on a dirt curcuit… any thoughts. As it is a stand alone game at 3gb, who knows, more cars perhaps?

  10. MyFavoriteGame

What ever happened to the 6+ million people who bought GT5 just 14 months ago?…..Have people given up on the game that quickly?….130,000 is quite impressive, but that only about 1.5% of the people who bought the game, even the Seasonals hardly ever see 150,000. Is that normal for GT,….or any game?, that 99% of the people who bought it stop playing after just one year?

    1. Quakebass

So you expect 6 million people to download GT Academy in the span of 48 hours? Part of it is that some may not have an internet connection, and from what I’ve seen, some people still can’t find it in the PS Store. I’m willing to bet it’ll be at LEAST 1,000,000 people by the end.

    2. mcfizzle

1 million is a very high number, I hope it happens but between 3-500,000 is probably more likely.

130,000 people participated in the latest Spa Seasonal and that is quite a bit 18 months after the game released. You also have to remember a large percentage of people don’t even do the time trials. Plenty of people are very happy online racing, testing and tuning, or doing other events. This was the first Seasonal TT I’ve done since they started and I play just about every single day since release. But to answer your question, most games would be thrilled to have 100,000+ people consistently playing 18 months after release. The only games that probably do are the top FPS shooters like Halo, COD, and maybe Battlefield. It really shows that for all the complaints about GT5 we’ve made and heard, it really has staying power. Personally, I’m more into GT5 right now than any other point that I’ve owned the game. Future is bright for the series in my eyes and i hope some of the new ideas in GTA 2012 are a sign of what’s to come.

    3. MyFavoriteGame

If you read carefully, you’ll realize that’s not the point I was trying to make, I was speaking more towards the dying enthusiasm…. I also mentioned Seasonal events….Plus the numbers closer to 8.5 million, not counting used game sales. Also, quite a few of my friends are playing the GT academy demo and don’t own a copy of GT5.

I’m happy for every bit of success GT gets and 1,000,000 entries would be great, but you gotta admit, a lot of people bought this game and shelved it. even tho quite possibly more than half the people who bought the game don’t have an internet connection, the lack of participation from those who do is still shocking.

Its easy to get frustrated with the people who came here and complain about DLC and A-spec or what have you, but on the other hand, look how many people simply gave up from the start. We all have friends who have been stuck at lvl 15 or 10 or lower even, for months. Prob sold their copies long ago. The ppl who come to this site have not done that. Even the GT5 terrorist who constantly threaten to make the “switch”, deep down they still love and care about this game.

    4. Quakebass

I was really only addressing your comment on the GT Academy users; you just seemed to assume too much. About how many people had purchased GT5 and started playing it within 48 hours? probably not 6 million. I do agree, the enthusiasm is going down, but that is to be expected as a game gets older. The enthusiasm seemed to go up a little bit when GT Academy was announced, though. There’s SO many communities in GT5; drag racers, photographers, drifters, and just general drivers; some may not be into drifting or time trials, and therefore don’t play them.

    1. Quakebass

Let’s see; about 90,000 different people averaging (maybe) around 30 MPH – if they all drive for around an hour, that should get you around 2.7 MILLION miles, which is about 4.35 million KM… that’s plenty accurate.

    1. KFM

Good job. I gave it a few goes last night, but I had a bit of a tough time with it since I’ve never drove an EV before.

    2. s8555287

I loaded the ghost from the first rank to try and beat it L0L. Right when I reach about 80-85mph the ghost beats me IDK why.

  11. Raggadish

Miles? How about using the superior kilometer measurement instead? I’m guessing more GTplanet members are from countries which use kilometers instead of the lame miles.

    1. Youngun

Superior?? lol bet u think the wheel should be on the left and drive on the right too…….

    2. Quakebass

^ He probably does… much like how you think it should be the other way around. It’s really all about where you come from and what you’re accustomed to…

  12. Scottish GT5

Took me ages to download but it finished 30 mins ago! Going to give it a go in a bit!

  13. Monatsende

Number of players hit 100,000 right now. I have to admit: GT5 Academy 2012 is well done.

    1. lowwatt

I honestly am starting to doubt if I should buy GT6 if they still did not improve the action.

    2. Force9

I think you spell that Plain Immature…?

But in any case…. Let the immature then enlighten you to the situation… For me to download the demo it will cost me $70. So now I play it and achieve good times etc. Then what? What did I really get in return for my $70? Seeing how I match up with other racers? I can do that on the TT/DT? If you are not in the countries stipulated as forming part of GT academy this is nothing else but a demo of an already existing game. Maybe enhanced here and there with a few improved shadows. What you forget is that the number of players are not only GT faithful. It’s all sorts of other people trying something just for the sake of trying as well. The global arena consists out of more than just parts of Europe, North America and Asia.

Lastly being pointless to you might not be pointless to others.

    3. ttfn

Cost you $70? well i find that hard to believe considering here in britain its actually free for the GT Academy download

    4. Force9

I need to purchase data bundles to be able to download anything. The actual package being download might be free but not the data packages I use to download it with

  14. zanxion

For some GT5 has started becoming as scrappy as ever with certain activities being available not to everybody!

  15. HuskyGT

Just downloaded it. 93000+ people, WOW! I just golded the events and had a lot of fun. I’m not the fastest, but I’m within the first 6000 people. I take back what I’ve said about GT Academy.

About the game itself, I have to say that the Nurburgring looks kind of sharper, I don’t know if it’s because of the time, or that they polished it a bit. The main screen music is awesome also. I hope they transfer it to GT5.

    1. TokoTurismo

I was wrong what I thought about GT Academy 2012, it’s actually the most funnest thing ever. All of this just blows me away, and the demo feels and looks different compared to GT5. The shadows are more smoother as well, and the background music and the interface is just mind blowing. They did a fantastic job with this demo, and can’t wait for the next round to come.

    2. HuskyGT

      @ TokoTurismo

The shadows… You’re right Toko! I just noticed that they look much more smoother than before. I just hope they implement these little changes into the main game.

And yes, this little game is a lot of fun.

    3. Youngun

Whole thing does really, pixilation have improved, maybe they updated the graffeti too lol

  16. Force9

Only 63000 players? This is now something released by a franchise which brags about 8+ mil copies of the games sold? What would you recon the other copies are used for…. Or does these 63000 players each have 126 copies of the games? The rest of us don’t benefit from this at all…. Why give something to the few when the many whats something else?

    1. Quakebass

63000 DIFFERENT people have played the game within 24 hours. THAT’s whats impressive. As of now its up to about 93,000 different people. This is just within 30 – 40 hours of release, and only in the first two rounds.

If you want me to go deeper into these statistics, I can.

    2. mcfizzle

What you are saying make no sense at all. “why give something to the few…?”
If you haven’t realized yet GT5 owners are the few and PSN members are the majority. Last year it was released in-game and only 52,000 people participated in the US. After 2 days over 124,000 people in the world have downloaded this and the number will only continue to rise. I think it was smart of them to expand their audience and possibly sell a bunch of copies of GT5 as a result. Great move by Sony and PD to give us this new fresh demo. I love the look and community features. Now they need to expand on that for GT6.

    3. MyFavoriteGame

I understand what you’re saying Force9….U may have worded it differently than I would, but I get where you’re coming from. What “mcfizzle” is trying to say is, 99.9% of the people who bought GT5 don’t have an Internet connection and therefore have no concern for DLC, Seasonals or GT academy. So….as far as PD is concerned, only .1% really matter now.

It may sound sinister, but it makes sense…in a sinister sorta way.

even if 500,000 ppl were to participate in GT academy, it would still be about 5% of the ppl who bought the game.

  17. Quakebass

Quick question – how many people here don’t have enough room to download GT Academy 2012?

    1. Froudeybrand

Not true at all! At least 72 people are playing it ATM fromaustralia. And around 25 roughly from new zealand. I can assure you I am one of that 72. I hate all good so far are roughly sit at the 4000 mark on most of the trails so far.

  18. Metallica81

It seems like people cant have their own opinions on this site without being called names and such…wow guys

    1. another_jakhole

I think you might have read tillbot8 saying my Username as someone taking a jab at you.

  19. tillbot8

re: another_jackhole. Why disenfranchise the majority of players? What purpose would it serve. It is my understanding that everyone who won or got past the first stage last year used wheels anyway? It just makes zero marketing sense!

Logically speaking if you can compete in this event you have a DS3 because you have a PS3.

You are giving out a free product. (Nothing in product marketing is free, EVER) therefore if sales is not the objective than saturation of participants is. To incentives only wheel users would black out what 75-80% of players. Why would Nissan or PD ever consider doing that. It would be at the very least counter productive and it would also be a marketing failure! One that people would remember thus damaging the companies image!

    1. another_jakhole

haha Did you not read what I saw carefully? I hope you did, otherwise I’m confused.

    2. another_jakhole

FYI, all I think is it isn’t fair for someone (a casual gamer) to take up a Finals spot if they’re not even sure that they can compete with the top and most dedicated wheel users.

    3. another_jakhole

      ^^^ That, and

” Why would Nissan or PD ever consider doing that. It would be at the very least counter productive and it would also be a marketing failure! One that people would remember thus damaging the companies image!”

I didn’t say disqualify the controller users. I know what this competition is meant for.

  20. Metallica81

Thats exactly what I mean this hentis guy is being a complete A** about it but I mean think this is for a real chance to race its not like your gonna get to a real race car and have a controller as your wheel and I sit here looking at some of the challenges and #1 is some guy with a controller.

    1. Phouchg

I think that if you’re a really good driver with th controller you can probably adapt to racing with a wheel as well.. you already know how to drive, which lines to take, when to brake and everything like that, what kind of input device you use probably doesn’t matter that much it just takes some getting used to to shift between them.

    2. another_jakhole

      @Phouchg
That makes a lot of sense, because what you said could very well be true. Still, why take the chance in ruining someone else hopes if it isn’t definite? That’s my point.

    3. Hentis

No im not. The competition is open to everyone, why discriminate against people if they don’t have the right equipment, regardless of their times.
I noticed on one of the “trials” on round 1 on Tuesday night there was someone using a controller in the top 5. So imagine the backlash that PD, Sony and Nissan would get for discriminating against Gamers that have no steering wheel setup. There would be plenty of complaints coming in and not just from the GTP community.

  21. Jtuner

Am i the only one who thinks the people at the top of the tables at the moment are slightly cheating, if not driving unrealistically? I mean, u drive ur very best, to only end up 80th which leads you to following the ghost replays of the top drivers only to learn they’re driving half on the grass and half on the actual track to get a better time? i mean, really? if you did that on a real life circuit you would be disqualified let alone getting a race contract. I think the academy organizers should look at the replays of the top drivers at the end of the event and disqualify them and let the REAL drivers who actually drive seriously compete. But hey, thats just me..

    1. Phouchg

It’s not like these stages mean anything in the end anyway though.. they will probably look very carefully at the laps of those who finish in the top in the final challenge.

    2. occasionalracer

I’m sure that PD will place cones at the track boundaries much like they have with challenge 2-4, riding across grass is just a joke, especially in a competition separated by 0.001 of a sec…. hopefully the next events won’t include these short “license test” style challenges.

    3. etp_ayer

Why havent they put some cones in 2-5…how can it be expected to have a good time without riding the grass and ramming poor old red Joe Annoying like a madman.

  22. Hentis

Yeah why not discriminate against non wheel users. Good idea. Tell you what how about anning people that are left handed walk funny and have torrettes and an annoying eye twitch. That might make a few more people happier. Idiot!

    1. Metallica81

I agree alot of the top times are ran through the grass OR in the challenges with other cars they ram em out of the way

    1. another_jakhole

No. I don’t think the people who made it as finalists using a controller should be allowed to move on. It doesn’t seem logical to think that the controller user would be the very best of the finalists in a real race.

    2. another_jakhole

Basically, anybody should be allowed to take part, but not in the Finals if they used a controller.

    3. Kenny8375

No. Do you really think that’s fair to exclude people who don’t want to pay an additional $100 or more for a wheel if they only have GT5 to use it on? Hell, why don’t they just exclude people who have a vowel or a consonant in their last name?? Keep it real fair….

    4. another_jakhole

If you read his other comments, it makes sense why he made that comment. He should have worded it better, that’s all.

    1. Borna12345

6th best gold average, behind only Cyprus, Qatar, Slovenia, Finland and Iceland.
      We’re doing good.

    2. Quakebass

I think Cyprus and Qatar only have one user each, saying as they have 10 gold medals, and an average of 10…

    1. another_jakhole

It could be a matter of not adjusting quickly enough to these specific “challenges”, since you started them with a controller.

    2. MyFavoriteGame

My times are also better with the DS3 so far,, but I think as the challenges become more difficult I will have to turn to my wheel for superior lap times.

  23. Quakebass

Looks like a few GTP members have gotten in the top 50… Good luck!

76,000 users now, and we’ve JUST hit 4,000,000 retries… That’s pretty impressive. By the end of the day I’ll bet we’ll reach around 5,000,000 KM… I love looking at statistics… Which I know bothers at least two users here, sorry… XD

  24. DarthRaiden666

9 Golds so far with just my Duelshock 3, will use my Driving Force GT tomorrow and see if I can better them.

And soon get some prize cars, my guess is it be a redeem code to your email address.

    1. Azura

Doubt that. The prizes from GT Academy aren’t even in the current version of GT5. There will be an update at some point which will contain the prizes to be redeemed.

  25. Phouchg

Have any swedes managed to download it yet? because i haven’t been able to find it in the store yet.

  26. Tomeggyilkos

funny u ppl talk about a DLC here i m thinking about the idea of this whole Academy thing i think this is one the biggest idea in gaming so far this is REAL :)

    1. TokoTurismo

This is one of the bestest and funnest ideas ever. Since it’s GT Academy 2012, it’s so nice to see them include other countries to join part of all this, sure the rest of us can’t go to the finals, but to honest it’s fun to attempt beating your friends best times in the leaderboards. Speaking of leaderboards, that looks fantastic. Kaz and PD gets a big +1. Unlike the “other racer” which is the same old same old every month… BLAH!

GT Academy is an actual stand alone demo, which amazes me to earn “prizes and rewards”. I should come back to playing it so I can try and beat my friends best times. ;)

  27. Quakebass

Oh no! Someone misspelled “corner” as “corne” on Round 1 on the US GT website!

    Just a typo…

  28. another_jakhole

    Wow!

Not even a full day ago, there were only about 12,000 players. Now there’s over 72,000.

      Last Updated: Jul 18, 2011

I still can’t get over that. Jann’s amazing.

  29. mjubinville

I feel for my fellow drivers who are still waiting for the program. I love living in Canada and having blistering speed internet. Downloaded the 3 Gigs in 14.5 mins and the update took 3 mins. Wish I could open up the pipe to you guys!

    1. MyFavoriteGame

Yeah i gotta admit, for the hundreds of thousands of us who have no chance at this….we need our good old GT5 updated with some new content

  30. HuskyGT

I’m still downloading it… Can’t wait to play this thing. It’ll be kind of refreshing.

  31. KiroKai

The idea of giving us an easy view on the game’s statistics both on the website as well as in-game in the main menu was a great thing, it’s pretty impressive watching the numbers raising just for a minute…

    1. TomBrady

I agree. and showing your friends times at each menu is cool. It makes it fun to compete with your friends, and laugh when you get back at them for beating your times LOL

    2. Quakebass

I hope this gets used in a future GT Game… not necessarily at every menu, but you’d have a quick button to go to your friends times for every track and/or class per track… I’d imagine it being like NFS’s AutoLog in Shift 2, just with more variety, and it being in a good game.

    3. another_jakhole

It looks like the new things we’ve in this GT Academy will come in the next update. In this GT Academy, you’re able to change the volume of the Sound Effects and Race Music during gameplay. I don’t see why that won’t make it into GT5, along with some of the things already mentioned. I really hope this is what the features within GT Academy are hinting at.

    4. Quakebass

Ok, tha pretty much confirms an update for me; PD claimed that there was a “March UPDATE” that had to be delayed, yet Asia still got PhotoStream without an update. now that there’s new features, I’ll just assume that there’ll HAVE to be an update. These small things could help ME personally, but these leaderboards would appeal to nearly everyone, including me. I hope these are coming in an update, too, but we’ll see what happens… I still haven’t gotten GT Academy yet, I’ll likely be looking at hard drives this weekend.

    5. another_jakhole

Definitely. I didn’t want to say much else for fear of people saying, “NO!”. lol

The update was pushed back to April, actually. If it weren’t for some of the new things that are in the GT Academy demo, I’d feel skeptical about how big the next update would be. I have a feeling it’s going to be the third biggest after that 700-ish MB update we had in the beginning. Me hopes so :)

    6. tube chaser

Quake, jackhole – thank you! You’ve now gotten me excited about the potential content of the next update. A leaderboard overhaul would be invigorating. Half the reason a clearly flawed SSX got such generous reviews is because the leaderboard interface and global events are quite frankly amazing. This could indeed be a very significant update.

  32. FishyJuice

Cheers TokoTurismo, just thought I’d point out that this isn’t really my photo. Long story short, the credit should mostly go to ShaolinMasta instead.

And nice to see the large participation numbers. *thumbs up*

    1. KiroKai

      RE:MIX :)
Still, it’s your own editing, and personally, this is the reason I love the shot! It looks better than the original (which I saw on flickr too) I think.

This should be kind of a sign to not give up on the photos Fishy… pleeeease, keep going :)

Then I congratulate to both you and ShaolinMasta for creating such a artistic, fantastic, and outstanding picture. :) *Cheers*

      RE:MIX pride!

I think Jordan should’ve said “photomode image by ShaolinMasta, edited by FishyJuice” instead.

I placed in the top 1000 in every event, and even got in the top 300 in a few of them, but I still think this academy thing is flawed.

Just did the 2 events with 5 individual segments, They are a piece of cake to gold (only took one go on each of them to get 1-3 seconds under the target) But I was only in the top 5,000-20,000 for all of them. I’d say there are some pretty talented drivers at the top!

    1. ImprezaAddict

The cars that are used in each round are awarded for all Gold. For now, only the Leaf and Silvia.

    2. Quakebass

I wonder if there’ll be a new car added in the game…

Likely not, but we can dream, can’t we?

Sucks really hard we can’t participate in such an awesome tournament here in Canada… insanely jealous :(

I wish for any event.. Here in Latvia we cant even register our country in PSN, wishing for full support from PD is impossible!

    2. occasionalracer

You can download it and participate for fun, just not qualify for advancement to the Academy finals.

I’ll agree with that, the 3+ gigabyte file size will keep me away for the time being. I also have to figure out what to delete to make room on my HD. GT5 is already taking up 1/5th of my drive.

How this isn’t a part of GT5 proper is beyond me, altho it’s cool PD opened this up to everyone. If only other developers were as progressive as PD.

      @rynedee
I had the same problem. What I did was cleared out a lot of GT5s data. If you load up GT5, go to options, utilities, delete installed files. It will clear about 9gb of space for you, and it won’t affect your game save, or photos, suits, cars, creator tracks. All of that will be intact. The only difference it will make is everytime you load a track you haven’t been to after the delete, it’ll install that. It increases load times for a little bit but it’s not bad.

FYI, you need 6042mb to install GT academy demo, but 3021mb will be free after you install it (same with any game/demo. you need double the download size free to install, but after install it’ll only take up the original download size on your hard drive).

The download itself takes a while, so although deleting the extra GT5 data is kind of only a temporary solution, you’ll at least be able to get things rolling while you figure out how to make space.

I had to dump a ton of videos from my PS3 onto my laptop. It took a while but now I got tons of space on my HDD, and I can still watch the videos on my ps3 with media streaming.

Like I said, as long as you delete installed files from GT5, FROM THE OPTIONS MENU INSIDE GT5 (not the XMB), you will not lose anything important like updates, critical install data, or DLC.

More info in how to get the price cars soon. Be Patient man for those who bought the DLC car packs are just new stickers more than new cars. And for those who didn’t only the Nissan Leaf G is the new one. Be patient for Christ sakes!

(i can´t believe that some people gets impatient for something when it is free of charge…damn this gaming generation is like having a spoiled child…)

    1. another_jakhole

It’s a bummer that we have to wait almost another full two weeks for the next round. The first two rounds are open, at least. It could have been just the 1st round to begin with.
