Special Event XIII
WRS Online hosts the 13th Special Event in GT6 this Sunday Sept 27, with a Triple Mix that will get drivers practicing for the GTPlanet Endurance Series 24hrs of Spa, which takes place in October.
The idea behind the Triple Mix is to have 3 races back-to-back at the same track, with drivers using each car of their choice, once. This leads to some interesting strategies and guaranteed fun for all involved. It’s explained in much greater detail in its dedicated thread. The power and weights will match the GTPES 24hr race specs.
Week 88 Time Trial
This week’s time trial comes to us from WRS members @mr_lab_at and @roamer2629, and marks the end of a 4 month drought from FF cars in the WRS.
All drivetrains will be better balanced in the future, and we’ve been getting some great Suggestions from WRS members, so keep them coming. This is the first trip to London Reverse in GT6, and the first time a Mini has been selected.
Tuning is prohibited, so just change the oil, set your brake balance and start pounding around. The deadline for submission is just before Midnight UTC next Monday, Sept 28 (convert to your timezone).
Joining WRS
Joining WRS is easier than ever, now that a Rookie system is used. Previously, drivers were asked to run 2 contrasting combos to the best of their abilities and submit those times.
Now, a new member is asked to submit ANY Time-Trial Mode best-lap replay (instructions here), and the laptime is ignored, so it’s a trivial time commitment. After 3 time trial submissions, the driver is placed into one of the 4 divisions, where they will compete with drivers of similar pace. To race online with WRS, just fill out this Driver Info form after you’ve received a “Replay Accepted” PM.

… have 3 races back-to-back at the same track, with drivers using each car of their choice, once. The WRS has finally figured it out! This was my thinking all along while running HighPerformanceStreet… by my lonesome ;(
Hey, l don’t the fan base to offer an alternative to WRS but it’s good to know that people are willing to drive something other than their ‘favorite’ whip. Good luck with the ‘Triple Mix’ theme. My ‘friends’ just ain’t interested.
BTW, HighPerformanceStreet has updated it’s regulations for Gran Turismo Omologato divisions to increase the allowable ranges in horse power and weight ;) Hope to see yall there.
Great write up Lucas !!
