In an intriguing and unusual 50-second video uploaded to YouTube, Milestone has officially announced its latest and most update-to-date edition of its motorcycle racing game series: MotoGP 17.
The new game will be fully representing all of the 2017 season’s tracks, riders, teams, and ruleset. Additionally, the Red Bull Rookies Cup championship will be included in the game. Milestone’s Lead Designer asserts that MotoGP 17 will not simply be an update made for the new season thanks to “a new competitive and thrilling online mode, a completely revolutionised career mode and much more.”
In terms of performance, MotoGP 17 will be the first game of the series to aim for 60 FPS on consoles, which will make a major difference to the handling, says the Lead Programmer. At the same time, though, it will also be the last title to use Milestone’s in-house engine, presumably moving onto Unreal Engine 4 like the team’s upcoming off-road racer.
MotoGP 17 will be available on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 (and Pro), along with PC via Steam. The release is scheduled for June 15 in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East and South Africa, and then one day later for those in Germany.
