New Gear.Club Contest Will Put One Lucky Player in a Real F1 Car

Fancy yourself quick in Eden Game’s Gear.Club mobile game? If so, a drive in a real-world Formula One car could be in your future.

With the 1.20 game update, Eden has added the new “Road to Magny-Cours” series of events. This collection features three car/track combos with their own individual leaderboards:

  • Nissan 370Z at Dry Pit
  • Lotus Elise 220 at Wolves Valley
  • Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack at Skyloch

From now until May 15, players can compete for the top spot in each combo. After that, Eden will be flying the top players (three total) to England to drive a variety of cars on the track. These include an F3000 open-wheeler, a Le Mans-style prototype, an Ariel Atom, and more. In fact, the cars sound remarkably like the Palmer Sport lineup at the Bedford Autodrome. But the grand prize is that headlining ride: a drive in a real F1 car at the historic Magny-Cours circuit.

The 370Z is one of the starter cars in Gear.Club, meaning just about anybody can enter. There’s a catch, of course: tuning is allowed, so those with more miles under their digital tires will have an advantage. Nonetheless, there will be plenty of in-game prizes for those that don’t qualify for the real-world events. These include up millions in in-game credits and gold, and rare, fully upgraded versions of the Z, Elise, and Challenger for the top 100 players.

Gear.Club is currently available for free on the Apple and Android app stores. If you’re a Nintendo Switch owner with a hankering for a licensed car racing game, you should check out our review of Gear.Club Unlimited.
