Top Gear Magazine Confirms Extended Forza 6 DLC Plan

Top-Gear-XBox-One

Forza 6 launched in September of last year with three distinct digital flavours. The Ultimate Edition came bundled with the Car Pass: a $30 upfront cost to cover the first six months worth of Car Pack DLC’s, which are normally priced at $7 each. The four packs that are currently available – the latest being the Polo Red collection – have been received favourably, while the fifth is set to be revealed next week. Now, Top Gear magazine has revealed that the DLC program will extend at least one more month.

As part of their current contest to win a limited-edition Top Gear XBox One (UK readers only, unfortunately), the British automotive magazine has let loose a small detail: that its name will once again be tied to a car pack for the Forza franchise, on sale in April. There is no mention of which cars will be included, sadly.

Also left unanswered is whether the Car Pass will be extended to cover this seventh pack. While originally quoted as covering only six months, an extension is not impossible, as Forza 5’s pass was extended for multiple months. The upcoming Porsche pack will likely not be covered either way, however.

While the news is not wholly surprising, with Horizon 2’s DLC program lasting an entire year, and FM5’s running for nine months, it’s nonetheless a positive note for players that the game will continue to be supported in the long term.

And on that bombshell… discuss this (and other Forza news) in our dedicated forum!

You know what ? With the current idiots running this once great show into the ground, they can have it…… No Clarkson, no Hamster and no Captain Slow, not to mention no sign as of yet of The Stig, it’s a shadow of its former self so they can keep it.

It wasn’t going anywhere in the first place. I think you’ve just made it more confusing than it originally was, lol.

Wow, that’s quite ugly. Is that a mock up or something, that just looks out of sorts. I like mine in it’s sleek black and shiny look much better. Good to hear that they are still going with more DLC, let’s hope they add another year or two before Forza 7 appears else this is going to get stale real fast.

Yeah, whoever wins this, if you could just go ahead and send it over here to me in the US, that would be much appreciated. Thanks.

At least it’s not the Top Gear we all love and want back now, and //Drive will not help. BBC, you better give up lol
