The beautiful Australian plains of Forza Horizon 3 got all wrapped in snow and ice as Turn 10’s new Blizzard Mountain Expansion kicked off last week. Over 50 new challenges and eight new vehicles proved to be just the tip of the iceberg, leaving Forza supporters plenty of new achievements to aim for. If you’ve been particularly interested in record hunting, the video above should be just the ticket.
GTPlanet member aTTaX Johnson — WRC 5 eSports champion and Season 2 ForzaRC finalist — shared the settings he used on the Ken Block’s Gymkhana Ford Focus RS RX to beat the world record at Blizzard Mountain’s new Satellite Pass. A lap of 1’09.503 was enough to secure his spot at the top of the pile of thousands of other players who tried to tackle tricky corners of this snowy course.
Though accurate settings are important when going for very last tenths of a second, driver skills still play an important role. This can be clearly observed in the video: Johnson cleared the lap with remarkable precision and smoothness.
