I thought maybe I could post some of my settings. I try to build a lot of replicas of different cars in GT4. Nothing I've made is tuned out the wazoo, so that you can focus more on cornering lines and brake/throttle inputs rather than just keeping the car on track. Maybe you guys will like them. I'll be using a modified version of Duck7892's setup form for easy reading.

Note: All cars have S3 Tires, Full Customize Tranny, Triple Plate Clutch, Racing Flywheel, Carbon Fiber Driveshaft, Racing Brakes and Brake Controller where applicable. No driver's aids are used.

All cars are tested at the Nordschleife. I forgot to copy down some of my tranny settings, so I'll be back to add them later. Although most of my cars have the maximum final gear ratio, I am not using the 'tranny trick' for my gearing. If you do it, your gearing will probably be too short.

Wow your thing is really confusing and messy...There's already a tuning thread for cars...Duck got it. His settings are good, I tried them...Why won't you look around before posting? And what's the deal with JUN Prelude?! They don't have that in GT4

He's trying to replicate cars that aren't in the game. ;)

However, I have to admit, it is messy and confusing. :indiff:

...Okay replicate I can live with, but dude, you gotta make link's like Duck has...so it won't be confusing 💡

Suspension
-Spring Rate: 13.0/10.5

Brake Controller
-Brake Balance: 6/8

Transmission
-Final Gear: 5.500

Note: Another Touge Showdown car. Although it isn't as rigid as the above Fujita FD and lacks a wing, it is still faster because it weighs less and produces more power. Since the car is a different model with a different set of power mods, it has quite a different character. Lap time was reached with four off-track excursions.

Car: Silver TechnoPro Spirits Toyota MR-S
Lap on Nurburgring: ___’___._____
Mods: Semi-Racing Muffler, Sports Racing Chip, NA Tune Stage 1.
Power: 191

Suspension
-Spring Rate: 11.4/12.8
-Ride Height: 93/98
-Shock Bound: 2/3
-Shock Rebound: 3/4
-Camber Angle: 1.7/1.0

Brake Controller
-Brake Balance: 6/8

-Amount: 30/30

Transmission
-Final Gear: 5.5
-Auto Set: 9

Note: The first Spirits MR-S was a newer silver kouki model, found as a new car in the game. That car ended up getting stolen, and was replaced with a white car, which looks more like the older zenki available in the used car lot. The kouki model should be faster to drive. Although it starts out 10kg heavier, it has a 6th gear tranny which can make a big difference. These settings will work for either model.

-Final Gear: 5.5

Note: A fun little car from Touge Showdown's 200 Class. Very tossable, and even drifts a little. I just wish it had more power. The real car had 130hp, and you can't even get that much in the game.

Hot Version Car

Car: White JUN Prelude Si VTEC Lap on Nurburgring: ___’___._____
Mods: Race Exhaust, Sports Chip, Stage 1 NA, Port polish, Engine Balancing, Stage 1 Lightweight.
Power: 268hp

Suspension
-Spring Rate: 8.8/11.2
-Ride Height: 106/111
-Shock Bound: 5/7

-Camber Angle: 1.0/0.5
-Toe Angle: 0/0
-Stabilizers: 3/4

Brake Controller
-Brake Balance: 5/6

Downforce
-Amount: 30/25

Note: The real car is yellow with gold Advan RC wheels and a yellow GT wing. Since there's no yellow car, I got creative and used a white car with white Advan RCs and a white wing. I purposely kept power down, not only to match the real car but also to cut down on wheelspin.

Car: Blue Phase 2002 Honda Accord Euro R Lap on Nurburgring: ___’___._____
Mods: Sports Exhaust, Sport Chip, Stage 1 NA, 1.5 LSD
Power: 264hp

-Spring Rate: 12.0/7.4
-Ride Height: 109/114
-Shock Bound: 4/6

-Toe Angle: 0/0
-Stabilizers: 4/5

Brake Controller
-Brake Balance: 5/6

Downforce
-Amount: 30/25

Note: A Togue Showdown 280 Class car. The real thing didn't have much more power than stock, so I took the liberty of adding a bit more. Nice to drive. The LSD helps cut down on wheelspin.

Car: White Spoon 2001 EP3 Honda Civic Type R Lap on Nurburgring: ___’___._____ Mods: Sports Exhaust, Sports Chip, Stage 1 NA, Port Polish, Engine Balancing, Stage 3 Lightweight, 1.5 LSD.
Power: 262hp

Suspension
-Spring Rate: 11.5/5.3
-Ride Height: 96/101
-Shock Bound: 4/6
-Shock Rebound: 6/8
-Camber Angle: 0.0/0.0
-Toe Angle: 0/0
-Stabilizers: 3/4

Brake Controller
-Brake Balance: 5/6

Note: I saw the real Spoon EP3 in Touge Showdown, and thought it could have been better. It isn't in GT4 either. This is just how I imagine it could be. I haven't tested the settings on the '04 EP3, but they might still work.
Additional Note: To create a Mugen EP3, try only a Stage 1 Lightweight, and a bit less power. You can get wheels from the Mugen S2000 in the used section.

Hot Version Car

Car: Yellow J’s Racing AP2 2004 Honda S2000 Lap on Nurburgring: 7’47.678
Mods: Semi-Race Exhaust, Stage 1 NA, Stage 1 Lightweight, Roll Cage, 1.5 LSD(optional)
Power: 291hp

-Spring Rate: 11.5/10.5
-Ride Height: 96/101
-Shock Bound: 5/6

-Toe Angle: 0/0
-Stabilizers: 3/4

Brake Controller
-Brakes: 6/5

Downforce
-Amount: 30/25

Note: A Hot Version car. Very fun on the 'Ring. Loves to swing the tail out when you lift off mid-corner. To get the car to behave, install a 1.5 LSD.
Additional Note: To create the Comptech S2000 from American Togue Showdown, use a Sport Exhaust and Stage 1 Turbo instead of NA tuning(the real car is actually supercharged). Do not reduce the weight or add a rollcage. Install the 1.5 LSD. Lap time was reached with two off-track excursions.

Hot Version Car

Car: Red J’s Racing Honda CRX- Lap on Nurburgring: ___’___._____
Mods: Race Exhaust, Sports Chip, Port Polish, Engine Balancing, Stage 3 Lightweight, Roll Cage, 1.5 LSD.
Power: 250hp

Suspension
-Spring Rate: 10.5/4.5
-Ride Height: 109/114
-Shock Bound: 4/7
-Shock Rebound: 6/9
-Camber Angle: 0.0/0.0
-Toe Angle: 0/0
-Stabilizers: 3/4

Brake Balance
-Brakes: 5/6

Downforce
-Amount: 30/25

Note: A quick one. It could be even more powerful just like the real car(250fwhp), but it would just be a waste. A lot of wheelspin as-is, even with the LSD. The real car is yellow(not in the game), so I got a red one instead.

Hot Version Car

Car: Formula Red Comptech NSX Lap on Nurburgring: ___’___._____
Mods: Semi-Race Exhaust, Stage 3 NA, Port Polish

-Toe Angle: 0/0
-Stabilizers: 2/3

Brake Controller
-Brake Balance: 6/6

Note: From the American Togue Showdown on Hot Version. Real car had a supercharger, but you obviously can't do that in the game. Tried getting this car to handle decently without a wing. Tell me what you think.

Note: Another Hot Version car. Needs more power. The real thing had around 600hp, and was ridiculously laggy. You could actually see it get into the boost and speed up as Tsuchiya drove it around. This car isn't quite so bad. JUN likes to color code things in yellow. I applied the same alternate scheme used on the Prelude.

Hot Version Car

Car: Mugen DC5 Honda Integra Type R Lap on Nurburgring: ___’___._____
Mods: Sports Exhaust, Sports Chip, Stage 1 Lightweight, Engine Balancing and 1.5 LSD
Power: 258hp

-Ride Height: 96/101
-Shock Bound: 5/7

Brake Controller
-Brake Balance: 5/6

Downforce
-Amount: 30/25

Note: This is how I imagined the Mugen car would be in GT4, albeit with a bit more power.
Additional Note: To make a Spoon version, do a Stage 3 Lightweight and try adding a Semi-Race Exhaust. Lose the wing and pick up some Spoon five spoke wheels, too.

Production Car

Car: RenaultSport Megane 225 Trophy Lap on Nurburgring: ___’___._____

-Camber Angle: 0.0/0.0
-Toe Angle: 0/0

Brake Controller
-Brake Balance: 3/7

Note: Base car is the new Megane 2.0 16v. Runs around eight minutes at the 'Ring. Not bad for such a mild car.

Production Car

Car: Audi TT 1.8T Quattro Lap on Nurburgring: ___’___._____

-Camber Angle: 1.5/0.5
-Toe Angle: 0/0
-Stabilizers: 3/5

Brake Controller
-Brake Balance: 5/6

-VCD=10

Note: This is supposed to replicate the Audi TT Sport. The real thing is based on the 1.8T model. So is this setup. Do not buy the 3.2 V6 as a shortcut. It's too heavy, which is also the reason Audi didn't use it. The real TT Sport makes a bit less power than the 3.2 V6, but weighs much less and is quite a bit faster. Runs low 8s at the 'Ring.

Brake Controller
-Brakes: 6/7

Transmission
-Final: 5.500

Note: This is meant to be a Sagaris. It wasn't launched until well after GT4 was out, so it didn't make it into the game. Use a T350C as the base car. This car is very fast. How could it not be, weighing in at 1080kg and putting out 406hp? Lap time was reached with two off-track excursions.

Note: A replica of the Typhon, another fast TVR that didn't make it into the game. This car weighs 1100kg and has nearly 600hp for a power to weight beaten only by hypercars like the Koenigsegg CCR, McLaren F1, and Bugatti Veyron. This car is ridiculously fast. I needed to add a wing to keep it under control. Even then, it's still a handful and wheelspins early in 2nd gear. It understeers a bit, too. Consider this one a work in progress.

*Update* Settings have been revised. I gave up and tried seeing what a little traction control would do. Even on a setting of 1, it cured the wheelspin I had been pulling my hair out trying to fix. The added traction allowed me to work on the suspension a little more, and now the car is over four seconds faster on the 'Ring.

Note: A replica of the Lotus Sport Exige 240R, a rare treat of which only 50 copies were made(sold out in two days). You might say to yourself, 'Hey, there's no Exige in GT4.' You're right. Just get an Elise 111R and pretend. The 240R was supercharged and very fast. I tried to make the Elise like that, but with a turbo. It is already faster around the 'Ring than my 400hp Comptech NSX.

-Final Gear: 5.5
-Auto Set: 10(6th .604)

Wheels: JA0224 or HO0271 from the used section.
Note: I had a time trying to get this car to settle down! I ended up doing the opposite of what I usually do, and trying to induce understeer so that the tail would stay in line. Sure I could have gotten a wing, but Keisuke doesn't have one(until the RE Amemiya makeover)...and it would've been too easy.
