This week’s theme will be "Showdown!" as chosen by week 19 winner EVO Lancer.

Further explanation of theme:

Have a pic of two closely matched cars as possible or rivals battling it out. Examples could be STi vs EVO, Commodore vs Falcon, or DB7 vs XKR. The cars should be fairly closely matched in specs and speed, and no outrageous combos, please.

A preview image may be used, but it may be no bigger than 300*400 pixels by either photo orientation.

You can use layers for overlay and layer adjustments, but not to alter the geometry and original subject matter of the picture: like
adding stickers and body kits, and objects that are not in the original image​

I think he means something like the Motor Carriage against a Sauber. Maybe not to that extreme, but I think you get my point.
 
Preferably no more than two cars, although it doesn't really matterif the other cars are just i the background, but the focus of the pic should be of no more than two.
 
I think I've watched a little too much Initial D lately...

It's the Spoon Civic, like in episode 6 of the Fourth Stage... or fourth season, I don't know.
 
Hmmm, I'm really tempted to use some of the other shots from the STi & Evo set, but I'm going to look for a different matchup for this theme. Nice choice, Evo 👍
 
Yea, I think you should change the shot. I really don't like how you edited it, your shots usually look way better than that. The cars and background are way too soft while the headlights and rims stand out so much I had to duck, I thought they were going to hit me in the face.

As well you should! I must agree with keef, that shot is not one of your best efforts. I would take it a little easy on the blur. Like keef said, the headlights and wheels stand out way too much. But I am sure you will come up with something much better.👍
 
@ speedy_2 - They're not rivals, but they're suprisingly balanced.

@ keef - It's supposed to be an action shot, but I might just change it anyway. :indiff:

As far as speed, handling, etc?? I didn't think the Camaro was anywhere near the car the BWM Mclaren was.
 
There's some damn fine stuff in here already! Oh and sar953, that combo is great, and the pics not bad either... :D.
Anyhow, I'm gonna be out of town until Sunday, so if its not too much trouble, could TF please pick the top 10 for me? Thanks... :)
EDIT: Nevermind... I got back earlier than expected!
