Well you have it on the top... but OS X is technically a menu bar, not a task bar since it doesn't show any of your 'tasks' (running programs). The dock is more or less the task bar where you can minimize open windows.
Edit: Here's my new desktop... this wallpaper really should be on the mac instead of this Dell but I like it anyways

oh and I've gotta ask.... does that "Spotlight" up top actually function as a desktop search? If so, what does it use? (Google desktop search, msn, yahoo...)

What's the Winamp Skin you're using in the desktop screenshot? Also, I think that you could've chosen better with the laptop VS. It's so.... XP-ish.
