This was done like 8 months ago, but only now have I got a digital Camera.

It was done using a 'FF' Honda Civic Type R.

im glad people are still posting in this thread, but like ive said before im just not able to maintain it anymore. if it is at all possable to give it to someone else or if someone wants to copy all of the old times and add all the new times that i have not been able to update. i will give you permission to copy all my oild info and make a new fastest 1/4 miles times thread. i woild like to see it keep on going. you can pm me if you have questions.

I don't know how. But I pulled a 6.184 with my Spec-C, I also got a 6.7xx a long time ago, before my first memory card failure... I have only been able to achieve a 6 second 1/4th twice in the whole time I have had GT4, and both times with the Spec-C only.

Is this a fault in the game, or am I just one lucky SOB?

Has anyone noticed the Gear increment change.


1. Turn your final drive all the way to 5.500
2. Move the Auto setting from 25-1 then back to 25
3. Move your 1-6 gears or whatever the gears all the way to the left.

You will notice that each gear will go as long as 1.8 in first 1.2 in 2nd and so on.

I would guess you guys already know this?

Sonzilla, I do believe that it is a glitch myself. It seemed like when I was racing, my car would get more boost on the 1/4th track than on a normal track, I can't confirm this by the game coding though since I'm not an expert on reading codes. Also, the fact that it happened only twice, with the same car on the same track is a little strange. As for luck, this is a video game, so luck has nothing to do with it really (just a joke I made), since all a game is is a series of changing code. Cheating, no. I have never cheated GT4 for anything except after my second memory card failure, I did use the full garage and Money codes, otherwise, I never have used cheats to help win the game or change any times (can you even change game times with a cheating device?!).

So far, my fastest cars are on soft suspension with the front raised and the back lowered.

That 6.1 has to be a glitch. On another note, damn that spec c moves in this game. Too bad in real life, the subarus are not going fast at all in the 1/4 mile compared to the evos, supras etc

I believe it's a glitch myself. There is no way a Spec C can run 7 and 6...

High 7's are attainable pretty easy with the Spec C. I've been hitting 7.6's crossing the finish line in 2nd gear at 198mph.
I just need to get lucky with the gearing and soon I should hit a 7.3 or 7.4 I just can't see how it could go any faster than that.

I would have to say anything under 7.2 in a spec C is most likely a glitch.

i think you'll find my times are pretty consistant, running a time, then tweaking afterwards. all my times are real and i can't belive people are contesting them with all the proof i have givin in the pic. i am currently runnin 7.5/7.6 times again after getting a new ps2 and gt4. you'll see the times were done last year sometime.

all my time are getting quicker and quicker in my results table, whats wrong with it??

the guy with the 6.1 time.... how did you pass the line at 90.00mph? as shown in the pics

That's the other lanes, I think that always stays 90... I have never seen it change.

That's the only thing that gets me is that your times are so consistently close. I would guess you were changing the gearing ever so slightly.

yeah.. i got a 11.498 on a spoon civic, 11.7xx in a acura type r...at least 98% of my hondas ff's are running 11's .. crx 12.2xx.. i'm a honda freak..
