That's the only thing that gets me is that your times are so consistently close. I would guess you were changing the gearing ever so slightly.

i was changing mostly the gear ratios, but i got to a point where nothing else was happening, so i moved onto gears and diff settings, vcd and downforce
I think i stoppped because i couldn't get it any faster, then later on after i finished 'draggin' my ps2 developed the dredded laser failure.
 
Ahh man that sucks. I'm at a time of 7.390 now but I'm stuck. I can't think of anymore ratios right now maybe later it will come to me.
I used the same settings for the Evo MR and it's running 7.6's...:nervous:

Can anybody give me some tips to get 7's in my Spec C?? This is because my brother keeps bothering me saying he can beat me, but still he can't. Anyway I want to shut him up once and for all. Thanks.
 
Main thing is the Gearing you can either shorten them up for 2nd gear launches or shorten them up and only have to shift twice or three times. Everyone has a different way but that's how I do it.
The less you have to shift the quicker you will go. And of course All aids off except TCS. That should get you started in the 7's.

i highly boubt goin 7's in 400m i have a Nissan Skyline (R33) '96 and it does 9.181 with Qualifying tyres on it using nos all the way and has more HP then a WRX so where did u get that bull from????????????????

Or does it come down to ratios settings?

Yer, I tried last night and could only get a 9.692. I'm going to try tune it a bit as I'm aiming for a pre-9.5 run.

Incidently, what Turbo did you use, Original or Stage 4?
 
Fastsest 1/4 mile to date was with the Escudo @ 7.204. Funny though, I haven't been able to even get a 7.2xx since, just 7.3's. Maybe a fluke? I dunno.

I also went 7.58 with the Toyota 7 race car.

I really want to match that 7.1 though that someone got with the Escudo, I know its possible. The secret is getting it to launch off the line without spinning all four tires! Lol. Its tough because it either bogs hard or spins them all until over 100mph...
 
Best car 9.5 in a moderately tuned SRT-10 w/ nitrous.
Best truck 10.508 in a pumped Tacoma X-Runner, not bad considering it's my drift truck, I just turned the TCS on and switched tires and changed gear ratios. Trick was to lay out of the nitrous until right before shifting into 2nd.

yes you can run 9's i ran 9.519
 
ford GT 7.68 fully tuned, no nitrous,
set up for quick acceleration, in a larger run, it would suck, haha
oh, and ill even post my setup around tuesday (in eastern us)
when i get back to my PS2
 
i got a 8.9xx with nitrous in the supra rz. this is my setup,
first all the best parts, original turbo and suspension,

maybe you guys can improve on it some
 
Do you have the usa version or some other? We don't get the low mile higher hp supra. I'll give those settings a try. I got 9s with the sup.
