Colby, I had a 55.0 something something time that I posted before for the leaderboard, just didn't have the rest of the splits. I'll squeeze in some more time before I submit, but it's probably not going to be very much...

And to KLR, I'm on Tiger. I wasn't sure if the software would be compatable with it, so all I did was plug in the drive itself, but nothing registered.

Hmmm, I'm on the system before Tiger(10.2.8) and it just shows up on my desktop... I didn't buy it though, it's my roommates and he's already used it on his PC, so it might need to be initially formatted first? Or I'm not sure. I think it should still show up though... If not on your desktop, maybe still when you go and work your way back after opening up a window to where it shows your harddrive and network. It should be listed there as well, just like a CD or DVD... I dunno man! Good luck!

And now that both yourself, Sjaak and Cyril has referred to your history in the WRS I think it'll be most fair to our fellow racers to talk freely about the matter.


After your week 2 appearance I gathered the following informations and PM'ed them to CFM, WRS administrator at the time.


This is a resume of that PM. I of course have left out the accusations, and are only posting the facts and links to the different threads mentioned.

You have with no doubt noticed his rather strange appearance in the WRS 2 thread

A short resume to clarify:

Post 151: He only drives 4 laps and have the fastest T1 and beat all the div 1 racers solid:
T1: 19.126
T2: 38.023
T3: 57.861
A couple of racers question his time and suggest, that he made a typo. He doesn't respond.

Post 240: He drives another 10 laps:
T1: 19.622
T2: 0'37.956
T3: 0'57.802
Times are evened out, but he now has the fastest T2 to T3

He asks the question: "* EDIT *: @ CFM: These times might give a problem when I'll submit them because it could be I'll have to submit a replay (seeing as I'm quiet fast in Luxy's leaderbord).
Now my question:Is it ok as I'll submit my data from the analyzer along with my time?If not, I'll have to submit a slower time"

Post 249: I have offered my assistance. He's considering buying a Max Drive.

Post 251: I'm clarifying how he could send his memory card by the mail, but he seems determined to get the Max drive.

Post 258: Daan gives him a link to a internet shop, and he is grateful.

Post 273: It's cheaper than expected. "Sweet".

Post 290: This one is good: "Think I won't submit this week, just too frustrated.I almost trew my GT4 disc out of the window when I got a new fastest lap while I screwed it up missing the apex before the strait"

Post 307: We encourage him. No reason to ditch his already great lap. He agrees and says he's not allowed to order anything on the internet, but will do it anyway. He also asks for help and Sjaak PMs his home address to him. 15 minutes later he edits the request for help out and edit an improvement in:

T1:19.498
T2:37.501
T3:57.521

Post 309: He thanks Sjaak for the address.

Backchannel he makes arrangement with Sjaak to send his memory card. He'll send it the same day.

With no explanation at all to anybody, he didn't submit. Now he's back in week 3 and posting very reasonable times. A pattern we have seen before.



Some highlights from his GT3 WRS:


He qualifies in Div 3. Drives reasonable times.
First time he was noticed was in week 82, where a super run in the Castrol Supra brought him up in the middle of div 2. Everybody else was driving Vertigo, who was a significant faster car to use this week. He was asked for a replay, but couldn't provide one. This result gave him an instant promotion to div 2.

Next time he performed over his usual standards was in week 103. Fully Modified Castrol NSX. 3 laps at Rome. A difficult and technical demanding race. Very hard to keep clean over 3 laps. He got his first div 2 podium. Sjaak68 PM'ed him and offered to make an X-port save of the run. He refused with no explanation.

Week 104. Exam time. No times/splits to be discussed at all. Arcade Castrol Or Denso Supra at Grand Valley. Pink drove the Castrol Supra. The exact same combo he drove in week 82. Ended last in div 2. 2.4 seconds slower than week 82.

Heh trimmed a KB off my Replay. See what youget if your fast? You save memory card space XD. This one will be a submit... Try as I might I cant hit a 11 T-1 even when I messed around on SS Tires. I hit 11.3 if I cut the grass though :D.

Doesn't move me any further up the board but it's a step in the right direction. I may not sleep tonight, I don't normally make such drastic improvements this late in the week and if (as I suspect) Ball's has given up this week, I may get to completely obliterate his time. :sly:

He's probably trying to lull me into a false sense of security by not posting splits, I'm half expecting to see a gold time from him come results day. :D

I think I'll just say what everyone's thinking. Thats ridiculous.


As to my times, might as well submit what I have. Since I have to spend the next while doing thank you notes for my birthday & such. And then won't get home in time tomorrow to work on anything. I think my fastest lap which I am POSITIVE is clean has a T3 around 52.5. Not my best, but oh well. And I really wanted to get into the 51's . . . :indiff:

I feel so good right now:D, after tring and tring to get a good 1st T time and
than get a clean lap after that I have gotting a good set of T times:drool:.

That's over a year ago, I still haven't got a ARMAX, so what? I'm just driving here for fun, does that mean I've got to spent alot of money just to have that bit of fun?


I can get you guys images and videos of the whole lap in all available camera positions but since cameras are not allowed, then just delete me out of the results thread, sounds quite simple to me...


Everyone wants to win and be succesful in this when you first enter it, and I was 14, a little moron who just wanted to win a little much ;)

I swear to god, I've never cheated on this account, never, the WRs just puts alot of pressure on you when you drive a fast lap but I've never cheated. You might want to talk to Kent about this first before you all start flamming at me.

I used to have this other account, TS020, were I entered the WRS in week, I dunno, 70 I think? It all past well untill we came up 'till week 73 (not sure). I drove a lap and seeing that I was currently beneath in the pack (I did score well in the previous races), I wanted to repeat the previous results. So what did I do? Fastened my time with a second, yep, I was cheating. I had a whole lot of discussion with Kent and so on, bla bla vla. Before I knew it, I was out of WRS. So, I learned my lesson not to mess around and decided to go on a new account to back enter the WRS and this time, without cheating.

So, I raced along the mid-pack in div. 2 for the rest of season, I was OK with Kent after we both made clear I wasn't going to cheat anymore. In the remaining weeks, I delivered 1 stunning result which took place at Complex String. I ended up sixth in the whole div. pack with a GT-ONE, beating some F1's. Kent talked to me again about the cheating and I said: "You know I haven't got a ARMAX, the lap was clean, if you don't believe me, then erase my result." This time, he trusted me 👍


So you see, back in my TS020, I was the worst member GTP ever known :lol:


But I swear I'd never cheat again or have cheated on this account.
 
You have to earn the trust of the other racers. Simply reappearing after a long absence won't gain anyone's trust. As for spending a lot of money, I don't know what AR Max you are talking about. You've bought your PS2, game, and I'm assuming some sort of USB drive to upload the pictures you posted in this thread, but you can't spend the measly 15 euro on the AR Max? Sorry, but I just don't buy it.

Well, the shops here aren't as good as the shops there I pressume :indiff:

These guys don't have anything, you want something? Order it they say, I've once ordered a game there and it took 6 months, costs were even higher as said so I'm not buying anything there.

The bigger shops in the big cities here also don't have it and I don't like buying stuff over the internet...

Wow I must say it has been quiet interesting reading inotthe previous race events. I just dont get why someone would cheat at this. I hope you get a max drive in the future, because it seems that you defiantly have talent.
 
Meh, thats whay sucks about life. You cant trust anyone, or do anything without proof of doing so. Hey He could be telling the truth, But he may not. We will never know until we have well...proof. He is a big fan of Toyotas, so knowing this much, maybe Pink wanted to prove is loyalty to the name and be number 1 by cheating? Or maybe he is just that damn good. Im jut here along for the ride.

Annnd No I still dont have a Maxdrive.
 
Eh so the two people closest to my time in terms of sectors, have no replay devices. This makes me unhappy because if you guys are faster in the end, and your times get pulled it would be a very hollow result for me.

Stroker I am not too far from florida so If you want to send me your memory card I can put your replay on to a maxdrive. Just let me know.
 
Well, about shops without Gran Turismo or ARMax: Here, in Israel, I had to search a lot to find a copy of GT4. I joined the WRS this week, and started searching for an ARMax. Hopeless. I've searched every store in my vincinity (well, about 5-6 stores), and they answered "Sure, we have Max Paine II", or "Action WHAT?". I asked if they had any other devices that I could use to transfer my files with, and they answered no. :(

But then again, I'm second from last, so nobody should really suspect me...

Your history proves you wrong, Pink. Not because you're fast, but because you results has shown unusually and highly suspiciously fluctuations. And every time arrangement have been made to prove your time, YOU have blown the deal.

And I don't buy the MAX-drive story. They're are cheap and easy accessible on the net.
Furthermore does several racers compete even in the board challenges without a MAX-drive, but depending solely on the good old snail mail.

Actually, I think they're not being produced any more and ARE actually somewhat hard to get a hold of. But then again, I haven't looked, so I don't know for sure.

But that STILL does not account for someone offering to check it for you by mail or what not. There's no excuse. There used to be people who would buy a Maxdrive in one country for a fellow WRSer and mail it to them personally. There's no excuse.

well... a girl got in the way of my final running today

even got to see a 50.9xx ~

submitting a 2nd place time, i will play this combo during this weeks wrs

and acheive the optimum ~ atleast .275 off my current time
 
my goal for today was to find .8 at t3 to be between the top of d3. saw a very fast laptime (-1sec faster) but on replay it appeared i cut the grass in the final righthander. tonight i'll give it my last go before submitting.
VERY curious to see other div3 laptimes tomorrow.
this has been a fab week, and the length of luxy says i'm not the only one who thinks so. so, cyril, please less and less cities and dirt, and MORE tarmac and lmp's please. it looks to be good for the wrs interest, traffic and submissions.
