GT4 WRS Week 66 : "Red Devil Unleashed"

Hi all.

This is my first ever WRS attempt.

T1 13.890
T2 37.137
T3 55.1xx

I clipped a wall in the tunnel though so I'm still trying to set a good time.

Using SuperT's settings, DS2, GT4 disc and PS2.

I have been threatened with a ban if I get a podium in my first race though!

Finally broke a couple of barriers. First good run wihtout TCS:

Still a lot of room for improvement. Oh and another thing. I'm wondering if theres anyone whose in WRS who has a Mac. I just found out that my Max Drive isn't even recognized as a USB device and really dont feel like going on to my desktop whenever I have to post a replay.

I have a mac... It's never given me problems to use the maxdrive...? What operating system are you using?

I'm his Dad so if he gets too quick I can, 'restrict' his PS2 usage.

Now all I have to do is make sure I can keep everything tidy after T3. Becuase as of now, I've gotten to be consistant enough in the rest of the track that I don't need to restart every 4 out of 5 laps.

And to KLR, I'm on Tiger. I wasn't sure if the software would be compatable with it, so all I did was plug in the drive itself, but nothing registered.

Handicapping is fun.

His qualifier lap put him in division 3 but judging by his performance in ,IMO, one of the fastest cars in the game it won't be long before he gets voted into division 2.

I'm saying no more than that, I don't want incriminate Cyril in any 'match fixing' scandal.

I have new T times, they are slower but my total time is .3 faster.

It does not sound right that all my T times are slower, but my total is faster.

i agree with balls though... this car is wasted on trial mountain.
especially with hard tires.
would have been much more fun on midfield with mediums.

I'm quite amazed by that T1 myself , watched the replay and took it with exactly 309 km/h

Don't know how I did this But the lap was 100% clean 👍

I'm happy about this time though I still haven't found the perfect line in the last tunnel.

This week in my opinion highlights why a fluid divisional system would work better than set divisions, TeamLosi, Pink_the_Floyd and STlbarcelona have destroyed Div 2.

But that debate has been and gone, I'll shut up now

Just noticed some errors at the board, as an example I took the time between me and ICEman, how can his total be faster when I'm 0.4 seconds faster in T1 and 0.1 sec faster on T2 while he's just 0.1 sec faster in T3?

Same goes for some names up above...

Think that there is a trend going on there Pink!

-0.4,-0.1,+0.1..............?

Think that the answer is fairly simple really!
Obviously, you nail the chicane and the first corner, and then slowly lose it through the rest of the lap.
All it takes is a very slight variance in line/braking point/apex/accel point from what they are doing, at each corner, and Bingo!

Same old, same old!

That's what happens when we race against full-blood and half-breed aliens.

Only three choices really,
Accept it, like most of the rest of us have,
Give yourself an ulcer getting more and more frustrated trying to keep up,
or:idea:
Get pally with one, and start swapping replays/tips

You actually went 0.4 faster than Ben on t1, that's right.
But after you only see a difference of 0.1 at t2, that means you lost 0.3 on that one to Ben.
Same goes for t3, in which you lose 0.2 to Ben, so the count is right.. 💡

Yeha! New, and much improved, splits. I am no longer last, and I finally managed to get some 0'13.xxx and 0'12.xxxS, but on T2 and T3, there were small losses of time compared to my previous one (about +0.1, relatively to the T1). They're probably my last splits for this week, since my brother and sister are playing right now, without plans of letting me back on.

T1: 0'13.712 (wasn't the best T1, but it had a better T3)
T2: 0'37.758
T3: 0'57.103 (lost some the the very last corner. Could've done better, since I nailed that corner before)

DS2, Div3, 350KM/h, ASM&TCS (ASM really helps on this one. I normally do TCS only), Auto. Hard tyres, 810-810, as required.

I think I am going to submit soon. I dont feel like doing this combo anymore. I would like to try to get promoted to Div 1 however. So I am not quite sure If promotions are still done on results or if I have to requalify.

So I'm glad you did this week and give us the opportunity to see that fantastic T1 part.
Assuming you have a replay device of course.
