Welcome to the WRS. This is my first week too. I'd wait for holl01 or someone as good to reccomend the best line, lol!

I tried searching google videos, but Trial mountain is too popular as a drift-track... And reverse is probably different...

The best way to learn is to download some replays when the week is over. Both holl01 and hOt6o4bOi seem to be racing this week (one is PAL, the other NTSC), so if you, new guys, have a MaxDrive, I strongly suggest that you download and take a look at their replay.
It's hard for one's self-esteem at first but one quickly gets used to it.

I'm going to search for a MaxDrive tomorrow. Sounds like something needed :P

But really, it freaks me out. I simply can't improve my T1 split. I just sat an hour or so, doing that same one. Even when entering the start/finish straight at about 200-220KM/h, I get 15.9xx at best. Otherwise, I understeer off the track...

hOt6o4bOi
0'12.137 ( 0'11.935 P.b )
0'34.086
0'51.222

LOVE the sig about Montoya... Sure, it's a bit of a step down, but I'm gonna watch, at least Daytona, Watkins Glen, and Sears, er, Infineon.

Gingiba-A max drive is just a USB memory stick. What you will really need is the AR Max software, to transfer with. If you know what I mean! ;)

The way I'm taking it is to make sure the car is as far over to the right as possible when you're coming up to the S/F line, I can't emphasise enough the fact the car needs to be very straight, parallel to the barrier. As you cross the S/F line you will see a couple of shadows across the road, one of these is your brake point...HOWEVER!!! You only brake a very tiny amount, enough to allow you to turn the nose of the car slightly in towards the edge of that mountain on the left. You should if you get the turn in right make a very straight line across the apexes (apii?!?) of the two little kinks and the second kink if taken over the rumble strip pulls you back into the track a little. You should be able to maintain about 280km/h through that section, even higher if you nail it perfect. Having said that I don't get it right probably 5 out of every 6 attempts, I'm spending more time restarting this week than any other I think?!?

Anyway hope that helps 👍

Board Updated

Gingiba : first make sure that you've turned TCS and ASM on, it should help you to stay on track.

New fastest clean lap saved :
T1 : 13.802
T2 : 36.980
T3 : 55.441

I love the way I can be 0.75 behind my previous best at T1 and yet 0.6 ahead at T2.

2 more laps :
T1 : 13.448
T2 : 36.229
T3 : 54.622

Hey, slow down Flattie. :)

Just popped in to make sure I'm on the right tyres. We are using racing hard (R4) and not super hard (R5)?

I seem to be going a little too quickly tonight.. :sly:

Back soon with splits.

The replay must display 811hp RH/RH.
And ok, I've slowed down. Actually I put the GT-One back in the garage and I'm busy preparing week 68.

I had a rush of speed tonite:D, and I know I can go faster:mischievous:.
Here are my times.

T1-12:560(have seen .146)
T2-34:995(have seen .6xx)
T3-52:897(have seen .463)

And I have to thank :bowdown:holl1:bowdown: for his T times.
They are the times i'm working for:).

Back from a one week holiday,, and decided to have a go.. This was my result after only three laps:

T1: 0'13.435
T2: 0'36.780
T3: 0'56.072

I know I can do a lor better:)

Got some new splits:

12.594
34.876
52.547

Totally stuffed up the left after the tunnel so there's probably some more in it for me if I can find the time to have another go.

well had another quick go and bet my previous time by 0.108 with a t3 that was slower and with some wheel spin so the exit speed was rather crap, which would add on another .050 lossige compared to the ghost i was chasing.

12.033 (seen a few 11.9xx's but they require luck int he first chickane)
34.014 (pb by over .1)
51.332 (lossed the plot somewhat here, i had a nice double right after T2 but then got too cautious in the next left and broke down to 123, and then the uphill left i was too cauitious again and broke down to 105 and hence had slow speed coming up the hill which is why the wheel spin occured)

i wont submit the time yet although its unlikely i'll ever repeat the T3-finish i achieved, i absolutely took it at the threshold, any faster speed coming out of the corner and the car would have understeered off track.

Flat-out
Aren't you using the wrong car or the wrong unit ?
Are you certain it's not 821 PS ot 821 BHP that are displayed ?

821cv=810bhp.... 👍

I close this session with this time because Monday and Tuesday I don't stay at home...

Unfortunately I lose 0.2-0.3 seconds in the final part...

I think the final time was 0.5-0.6 second better... 👍

Excuse me for my english, i don't speak english well...:

Well, I don't know where this came from but I've just knocked TWO seconds off my final time?

I've double checked power, tyres cleanliness etc and it all seems to be OK. (Apart from the extra 1HP on the replay info?)

Here goes,

T1 13.054
T2 36.118 (got your number Neil. :P )
T3 53.869?

This'll probably be my final time as I can't see me bettering that by tuesday, not that I'm gonna stop trying now though. :sly:

Used 320 gearing, (my corner exit speed's probably a bit slower than some of the quicker guys :) ). All available aids, TCS, ACM, RB, B&H. :sly:

Congrats on losing the extra time! it is always a nice thing to lose time in big chunks like that.

Good video Pink.

 Another second off at T3 and I'll be more than happy. :sly:

Oh yes, nice video PtF. I especially like the Viper clips. Not that I'm a particular fan of Vipers. I just like the way you flick it into the drift.

Top driving. 👍

I think my recent lap may have been a fluke as I can't even stay close to my ghost at the moment. :indiff:

There's still time. :sly:

I would take a fluke lap over a fluke sector any day!!:sly:

Keep pushing though, I am sure you will beat your ghost!
