It's actually fairly easy once you get the hang of it. It only took me an hour or so (mostly because you have to sit there while the little dudes walk around a bunch).

Basically the rule of thumb is that you want to keep things moving. If you're holding things up then you've done something out of order. Also, write down what you've tried and make notes about what needs to be changed.

I'm sure that there is a walkthrough for those games, but that ruins the fun of it.
I likie Grow RPG more than Grow Cube.

Just finished GrowRPG, that took about an hour as well - though I think it was significantly more difficult than GrowCube because it didn't make as much sense. I like the RPG scenario better, but overall I'd say growcube is better since it's more logical.
