I used Earth's save without a problem. Hence the updated version I posted. I am currently up to 53 cars, so will maybe post another save later. Ought to have a complete save sometime tomorrow.

The only thing that can cause corrupted data is to miss out a file or to somehow rename the game directory. My version of Earth's save can be extracted directly to a USB stick so you might like to try that to see if it is any better.

The pen drive i was using first must have had a problem because I have just used 2 other drives to load the save game successfully. Thanks for your help

fyi the drive that gave the corrupt file was a kingston data traveler 1gig

Looks like it could be a late night. I'm up to 59 cars for the US Blu-Ray, so I may try to "work" through to finish it. Just Mercedes, TVR, the Art Morisson and 8 of the concepts needed to complete. Using A-1 so it takes longer but is easier and I can semi-watch TV while doing it!

Right my US Blu-Ray save. S, A, B and C Class races completed. All 71 cars bought. #6 F2007 in scarlet. Thanks to Earth for the original save I used.

Rogs, thanks man, but how about a US PSN Download version of that file for those of us that have the US PSN Version of the game? :-)

If you double click the save, select all and extract it straight to the USB it will put the save in the correct place for the PS3 to recognize it. Remember to back up your own save first if you want to keep it.

still no joy getting the Pal version to work. Im a technical guy but for the life of me cant work out why it continues to load up like a fresh game with no saves showing, although when i go to manually force a save it says do i want to overwrite the 79kb?

Saves onto flash stick fine, copy's over fine play game loads a new fresh player with 35k credit and nothing else.

Rog is used your EU saves and still nothing working. seems im not the only one to have this issue as well. any last ideas?

can someone please tell me which one i need to download for the australian version?

thanks

Not the American or Japanese versions.

Edit: Folks... If we're going to go to the effort of putting gamesaves here for people, can we please accede to Jordan's wishes and upload them as Attachments to GTPlanet? Links to files offsite will be disregarded for inclusion in post #1 and, as such, become a waste of your time.

As for using the gamesaves... well, some people can't get the files to work. Some can. That'd suggest that if you can't do it, you're doing something wrong.

You need to extract the files so that they appear in the ROOT directory of whatever medium you're using, such as:

F:/PS3/SAVEDATA/

Only your region save will work with your region game. The saves only work with SpecII updates to GT5P.

Hi

PS3 displays it as "Corrupted Data". Dont know why. Earth's save was read on the first attempt though.

I have a downloaded version, but does a blueray disc version work on a downloaded version?
It was not clear to me yet...

Right... Some people have had problems. I have just tested all my saves. I used a brand new SD memory card. Downloaded my saves from here. Double clicked the zip file to open Winzip (for each of the three regions) and did an "Edit" and "Select All" and "Extract" direct to the SD card.

I deleted my saves from the hard disk and coped the three saves from the SD card to the PS3 hard disk. I loaded the game for each region, which shows "Spec II" at the top of the screen. On the PAL and Japanese versions I had to go through the "Accept" screen (for the Japanese version Accept was the right hand option) and also click OK on the subsequent screens which resulted in a save. The American version loaded straight up. When I had control I checked the garage and all the cars were there in each version.

If you are using a USB device (compatibility problems aside) you use the same method I used with the SD card.

To save trouble I have the three saves attached here. They are all the Blu-Ray versions. The PAL one has the F2007 in both colours. The American and Japanese versions just have the scarlet #6 car. Note that these saves are the ones that are in the first entry for the topic.

Hey Rogs,

Earth's save was 5 different files in a subfolder within 2 other subfolders. That was read by PS3 in a jiffy.

Your extracted file is just 1 file. How can this work??

My saves contain the PS3 directory, in which is the SAVEDATA directory which contains the directory containing the 5 files. When you double click the zip file the 5 files will be displayed (certainly with Winzip). With a select all and an extract direct to the USB/Memory card, any missing directories will be created and the PS3 will recognize the save so that it can be copied to the PS3 hard disk. If just the PS3 directory appears (this happens with Winrar) select this and extract to the USB/Memory card. Again directories will be created as necessary for the PS3 to recognize the save.

I have no space for the download versions of the game. My 60Gb HD is pretty much full. You'll have to rely on someone else for full download saves.

still wont work on the uk pal version rog. did the usual copy into the save file...opened game, accepted terms, ok the next screen...got to main menu, nothing bought new car (mini cooper s) went to garage...only cooper in there.
Any last thoughts before i sack it off and go play endless rounds of CoD?

If you go through all the steps you went through to get the save onto the PS3 HD in a bit more detail, I'll see if I notice anything. I am assuming the game updates went through OK when you downloaded them?
