Description: To infinity and beyond! That's where this car will take you, and it we labelled by many as "cheating", it really is that fast. Nothing yet compares to the handling of this car, which enables it to go faster than any other vehicle in its class. A truly shocking experience, but still not as forgiving as some other tunes so you better put on your racing helmet before stepping in the cockpit.

And now, the NSX that people have whispered of. Let GT5net use the M3, we'll use this NSX hah hah. Oh that would be cheating.

There is no cheat on that, you are doing an excellent job and we all are glad to test your setups... We also are trying to tune that beast... But racing online is not only a question of car & set up, it also has to do with drivers & what they like... some prefer neutral cars & some prefer oversteers, it's often a question of personnal feeling ;)

Anyway we will be pleased to try your setup on that beast, even if it's after this saturday event :sly:

Thanks again for all your work 👍👍👍

You little ripper! I been waiting for this release and goddamnit if I aint tied up this afternoon :grumpy:

Expect a review at some point over the weekend. Those GT5net cats wont know what hit them!!! Look out nesty I'm coming for you :D

That's OK. Feel free to try any of my setups, everyone is always welcome. If you're using the NSX in the competition though I better warn the
GTP racers LOL.

I'm currently waiting on a PS3 update, couple hours right there :grumpy:

Anyways.... an interesting tune the NSX. I ask this of you nd4spd:

Do you drive on full pro physics, and do you use a wheel? I cannot get my head around how you guys drive MR's with such heavy lift off oversteer. I really really struggled to peice one good lap together at suzuka with this tune. I tried more toe in the rear and a more neutral front toe to try and get the arse to sit, but to no avail, it's really difficult to get a rhythm together when such subtle lifts in throttle bring the rear around.

I think it is more my blatant inability to master MR's than your tune to be honest...... but i really struggled with this tune :(

it's really difficult to get a rhythm together when such subtle lifts in throttle bring the rear around.

That's the key to it - subtlety on the throttle. Compared to a MR car, anything else the throttle might was well be an on off switch but on MR it's more important than the steering wheel.

I use a controller, pro physics, and no aids except ABS on 1. I guess I don't get myself in positions where I need to lift off very often, but I can control it when I do. It certainly isn't the easiest car to master but when you do it's the bee's knees so to speak.

I don't know how you guys use the controller to drive these things, the ladies must love your subtle fingers and control:sly:.... as i would rather go without than use the sixaxxis.

I'm subtle on the throttle, i can master almost all of the FR's......... even the Vette's, Vipers and GT's but MR's just make me want to throw things. The 111R, the Clio Tuned, the NSX.... all of them.... i just am in the dark on how to get the thing to turn in and bite without snapping me off the road. I think it's also a line thing as well... if you ore offline in a MR you're cooked i guess. What times do you get on Suzuka?

I can lap quicker in your M3 and my osrg tuned IS-F than the NSX to give you an idea of my woes.

You can master a Corvette? I have problems steering that at high speed without BS snap oversteer. My time in my M3 was roughly a low 2'14, my time in the NSX was a low 2'13, for reference my time in the Jaguar XK is roughly a 2'16 flat.

Edit: osrg tuned IS-F? That had better be a different tune to the one I sent you some time ago.

Description: Back in the days of Aussie Tuners one of my most famous and credited tunes was an AT-Spec DBR9 race car. The feedback was so great that TLD has now decided to release the road-going version of that very car. The TLD DB9 has had weight removed and power bumped to a Corvette challenging 397kw. Unfortunately for those weekend warriors out there this does not fit into any current race categories so it is merely a display of tuning ability for the time being. Have fun. If and when a 700 PP event comes up this car will be there to take honours in races.

Edit: osrg tuned IS-F? That had better be a different tune to the one I sent you some time ago.

For sure.......... i have two. Yours is quicker :grumpy:...... that was the meaning of the IS-F comparison. The NSX i can do no better than a 2.17.6, the TLD IS-F i can lap consistently in the mid to low 2.16's and my own tuned IS-F, which is a bastard child tune from Daytona Road and Fuji combined is a flat 2.17.......

I really think it's my head space in not wanting to learn the virtues of an MR :yuck:

man i just don't understand, i honestly find the vette reasonably well behaved (thats the stock vette btw, bot the tuned)...... back to those times, i can't go under 2.16 in your M3....... how do you smooth your driving out with the controller??? Do you use the analogue sticks? How do you modulate throttle so precisely with just buttons???? So many questions.....

I'm seriously lost for words nd4spd..... those times blow my mind :nervous:

You'll get MR one day I'm sure, it will just hit you figuratively. How detuned is the IS-F in 600 PP?

Edit: Little flicks of the anaolgue sticks make good for minor steering adjustments etc. I use the triggers out the back (R2 and L2) for brakes and throttle. Took some getting used to but I'm fairly good at it now. And then there are people who will knock another second or maybe even 2 off my times

Edit 2: The NSX might have been a high 2'13, I'm not sure.

It might look weird with those settings, but it feels very very planted for me, and it's the first car i've really set my mind to tuning wise, and it's slowly getting quicker. Your tune is quite tail happy, and i really need to concentrate when i'm on suzuka in that monster on 668PP tune......

Yummi! 👍👍 Thanks!

Thanks to the upcoming board battle, Ive driven a few more TLD cars that I hadnt really used much before:

TLD BMW M3:
Great car, I liked it before but with this tune its even better! Ive decided against using this in the board battle because I dont feel experienced enough with it, it seems to like to go funny on me at times if I enter a corner a bit differently. However, finally a car that can put its throttle down without wheel spin! I easily made better lap times than the XK, around 2m18 mark usually.
The stock version is good as is, this tune allows it to carry quite a bit more speed into corners. Pity about the looks of the car  but at least the engine sounds nice.

TLD 512BB:
Ive been meaning to drive this for a while, Ive always loved Ferrari's but lately I avoided driving them because they were used quite a lot by other people online and I just got tired of seeing them. Anyway, I had raced this a bit in its stock form and it was still a great car, sometimes a handful but a real fun drive. Plus it has one of my favourite engine sounds out of any GT game so far! This tune definitely helps make the car more manageable and very forgiving when making mistakes. It looks the business too, inside and out.
This is the car I may be using tomorrow, Ive found it really easy to drive compared to the XK and its going to be tough to decide which one to race.

Lastly, after BaldurKn had driven the TLD M3, he had commented that he had tried similar settings on the DB9, I decided to test whether these settings were any better than the actual TLD DB9, and the results are interesting.
The settings couldnt be completely replicated, but the only things that couldnt be the same were the ride height and some of the gears. In the end though, at PP650 level the M3-replicated tune actually was a second quicker! Its acceleration was seemingly superior out of the corners and this gave it quite an edge. This may have just me driving one better than the other though, so Im going to post the settings here if thats ok with Holden? Think of this as an alternative TLD tune from a loyal test driver :sly:

I also tried to see if the DB9 was any good at PP600 level and also tried both tunes at this level. Because of the reduction on power though, the official TLD tune was superior. I wouldnt recommend using the DB9 for PP600 though, it could probably keep up with the NSX, XK, 512BB and M3 but you would have to push pretty hard.

'Atta way, 2 of my tunes going head to head without them realising, both probably thinking- "Damn, he must be a good driver to keep up with this tune in a normal M3."

You are, I pay in vehicle tunes, and you use them so that's kinda like being sponsored by me. All we need is TLD race livery. Is anyone good at photoshops?

PS- I really can't believe the popularity I have obtained in this garage. I'm very flattered by all the comments that keep coming.

Actually When I saw BaldurKn keeping up with me I thought 'That must be one hell of a tune' as it's basically one of the very few M3's around, it just proves the superb work on that car.

And you're totally right we already are sponsored drivers, too bad we can't really advertise the tuning garage during the gameplay, maybe if PD makes a visual editing tool like the one in Forza there could be a paintjob of TLD.

I've done some stuff on photoshop but I don't know exactly what you want but perhaps you could PM me and see if I can help.

EDIT: Gotta try that NSX to see if I can tame the fastest 600PP car.

I use the sixaxis controller as well and most time's keeping right up with Slicecom and Earth. By the way the GT's are Mid-engine.....

TLD NSX Type-R 02

Review by P3nT4gR4m (aged thirty nine and a half)

I've been looking forward to this one. Every TLD tune I've tried so far has been exemplary and I've been having problems with this car for a while now ever since I saw Nesty pimpin it round Suzuka and decided to try and copy him.

First off I take my setup round the freerun just to lay down a nice reference lap of 1:15 then off to the garage to apply the expected ghostbusting TLD numbers.

Turning into casio on the rolling start gives me a taste of things to come - car is much more responsive and I'm a good bit faster through and on the exit. (little did I know just how much harder I could have pushed it through there)

Something is horribly amiss on the back straight tho as I watch my semi transparent alterego pull away quite nonchalantly. Has TLD messed up? I'm a good two car lengths behind going into the double apex...

... I'm a good two car lengths in front and pulling 80mph on the exit. Holy crap this tune is fast! - lot more responsive on the steering, much more controlled through the corners (little did I know just how much harder I could have pushed it through there) but the spook is closing fast and it's neck and neck as we shoot through the esses with the ghost just starting to pull away into dunlop.

"I NEED MORE POWER!!!" I scream as I lean forward round dunlop in the hope that the computerised simulation on the screen before me will, in some way, respond like a gee-d up horse. Unsurprisingly it doesn't but I'm ready for the little fast right hander before degner (anyone know what that thing is called) I fly past the ghost, who's having problems holding the line down into the elbow. And stamp on the gas over the apex and out - I swear I hear ben kenobi in my head saying "use the power of 2nd gear luke"

I'm way clear of the ghost out of the hairpin but, once again he's closing fast into spoon. We're neck and neck through spoon with me having the drop on the exit - second gear is offering me 4WD-esque stability. I mean this car is notoriously fat arsed but, for some reason, in second you can do no wrong!

The haunted one just pips me into 130R but I'm able to hold a much tighter line through (little did I know just how much harder I could have pushed it through there) and fly through casio, just starting to get an inkling of how much grip this beast is giving in second (you guessed it - little did I know....)

Over the line I've somehow managed to pull half a second out of the bag but I need to head back to the garage before the next lap. I gleefully toss the front R3's and replace them with R1's for another 3points of power, hopefully it'll be enough. Then back to the track.

Couple of laps to let my lines adjust to the understeer and, sure enough there's another half second off the ghost - I'm powering past on the straights but the corners are proving to be a right royal pain the butt. R1's were a little too hard so I head back to the pits and split the difference, emerging once more onto the track with a set of 2's on the front and +6 power. Let's hope it's enough.

Oh yes! Perfect. I throw it into t1, dropping to third with a little dab of brakes. Ohshi...I've cooked it I think, turning hard in and dropping into second ... holy crap have I driven through glue?? What just happened? One minute I'm careering toward the dirt and then the hand of god picked me up off the track and chucked me out at 80!

The esses go by in a flash - much prefer the r2's on the front I'm not getting the twitchy response I was getting with the original tyre which (to my particular taste) was just a bit of overkill. To be honest I'm still in shock from that divine intervention on T1, I cant even remember what happened until I come up to degner and I'm thinking - "I gotta try this again" so I fly in in third, brake so late I've totally missed the inside kerb - instant death for sure. I drop to second and I could swear I actually heard a choir as the car just dug in and punted me out the other side - flawless!

And again on the exit of spoon I drop from flat out in third, without even bothering to brake! Second gear picks me up and chucks me down the straight headed for 130R which I take, with just a little lift and quick stab of the brakes, at 130mph flat!

The chicane at casio is looming ever so fast and I'm ready for it - the transition from "omg this is an NSX" 3rd gear to "no, actually it's a ballerina" 2nd comes, just as expected and it's one of the punchiest casio transversals I've ever taken part in.

Seriously this car has to be driven to be believed, you're tanking along in 3rd and then you drop a gear and you actually feel like you've magically teleported into a different car. Don't get me wrong the rest of the time it's the nice, well balanced setup we've come to expect from the antipodean greasemonkeys but drop into second and feel that beast screaming at you - taunting you to push it harder! This car is a legend.

So I take it online. First race and I'm bearing down on a black clio, trading places a couple of times - He's outpacing me but I have my new best friend - second gear to use against him at a couple of opportune moments. 1st lap I take him on the exit of spoon, he takes it back on 130R, I take it back again through casio when he fouls the entry, cutting just a bit too much off the kerb on the inside. He passes me again up dunlop, I make a mess of degner he pulls away a bit.

Next thing I'm bearing down on him into 130R laughing like a maniac cos I know that I'm taking it at 130MPH!!!! He runs a bit wide and I see him disappearing in my rearview at a hell of a lick! Then, on the entry to T1 it all went a bit Pete Tong and the less said about the rest of the lap the better. I kinda forgot I was driving an MR (too long in the evo seat has left me with a couple of bad habits) Suffice to say I finished last but none of it, and let me make this perfectly clear - none of it - was the car's fault.

This car is perfect!

Only change I had to make was to swap some front grip for a smidgeon more bhp but that's it.

Take this thing out and discover second gear for yourself!

Now I'm off to drive it- I've wasted too much time blabbering as it is.

Verdict - 10/10 (and I promised I'd never give a car that score)

definetly the best and most funny review I read until today! 10/10 for the review 👍 You got me excited! well for the car ;)

Hmmm, I think I might have to buy a red NSX and get several hours of practice in tomorrow........130 around 130R? Every other car ive driven has to slow to at least 120 there! That alone would allow you to gain a hefty lead or catch up by a huge amount! Im fearing that if I use anything other than the NSX, im going to be severely handicapped tomorrow!

By the way the GT's are Mid-engine.....

yeah whoops....... that was meant to be in the final sentence.... the GT makes me want to hurt people badly when i drive it.... it's giving me a migraine just thinking about it :nervous:

Thanks to the upcoming board battle, Ive driven a few more TLD cars that I hadnt really used much before:

TLD BMW M3:

Ive decided against using this in the board battle because I dont feel experienced enough with it, it seems to like to go funny on me at times if I enter a corner a bit differently.

Thanks for the reviews, I'm running out of comments for all the reviews I'm getting :D So you're saying the M3's settings on the DB9 made the DB9 quicker than the official DB9 tune? OK. I thought the DB9 would be bad at 600 level, which is why I released it like this. If the settings you are talking of posting are from the M3 is there any real need to post them?

Photoshop you say? I already told P3nT here what I'm kind of looking for, but shoot these photos my way anyway. I'm interested to see what they look like.

Another huge review!:) I'm not a fan of tyre staggering myself but if it works for you and that's what you want then OK. Good to see so many people think this car is good. It does indeed seem to have supernatural grip. I've already called the Winchester boys to come take a look at it, I'm a bit worried.:sly:

Hmmm, I think I might have to buy a red NSX and get several hours of practice in tomorrow........130 around 130R? Every other car ive driven has to slow to at least 120 there! That alone would allow you to gain a hefty lead or catch up by a huge amount! Im fearing that if I use anything other than the NSX, im going to be severely handicapped tomorrow!

No joke! Best I've had here before was a 127 in the evoX and I had to drop down to about 123/124 to keep it on the racing line. If you nail the corner the NSX just keeps going - 130 is as slow as it gets 👍

Description: The Amuse/Opera 350Z is a good car, but our engineers always feel we can make a car better, and that we did on this Z. The handling is simply sublime, the perfect fast car for beginners as it's hard to break out the rear end even if you're trying. The engine noise is also a good listen, so you have something fun to listen to while racing. Just don't look a the fugly front bumper and you'll be fine.

What a sublime drive......... tipping into 1 and 2 harder than i did before, not a hint of oversteer. The front end tuck without fuss when gently lifting off midcorner through the esses, and the bite from the front end through Gakyu, Degner turns (which is now taken at 10+klm/h faster) and the hairpin is awesome. It feels so sleepy through 200R i'm thinking this could handle another 20klm/h without fuss.

Entry nto Spoon and it just feels so responsive to what i want it to do, all lined up and it pulls hard out of Spoon Curve. I'm onto the back straight kissing the curb on the right, already thinking what is gonna happen at 130R........ a slight lift off sees the speed dip to 208klm/h and i'm kissing the exit on the right riding the curb....... perfect. A knife edged right left out of Casio and i'm done.

Time: 2.15.478....... nearly 2 seconds better than my previous best with my own minor tweaks.

nd4spd....... you sir are a god amongst men. This is one of your best i have to say.

Just had a 2 hour online session with the NSX. And everything that P3nT4gR4m said +99999 :D
Absolute cracker of a drive. Exit from Degner is staggering- so much time can be made up there!
One chink in it's armour (but may be my driving ability) is the exit from low-speed corners (Casio and hairpin). I'd out-brake other cars, only to have them punch out a faster exit. These cars included STI and 512BB (flat-4 turbo and flat 12 engines of course). The NSX in low RPM isn't the greatest (need to hit VTEC yo! :P)
Otherwise, mid to high-speed cornering is crazy. Through the S-curves is amazing.
Bit of a hard choice between the M3 and the NSX for me (funnily enough, i raced nd4holdenspd, him in M3, me in NSX). I think i'd take either really!

Keep up the awesome work mate :)

HI holden, well i've been following your thread for awhile and i finally got some free time to play and try out your tunes! When I saw your post this morning for the NSX I couldn't wait to get home to dust off GT5. Well, since the M3 was getting so many rave reviews, I tried those settings first. My first couple of tries were horrible as I got used to the usual oversteer drifting that most amateurs do. With some minor adjustments ( like wisely utilizing the brakes ) I got the hang of it, beat my ghost a couple of times and tried it online. I managed to finish a consistent 2nd or 3rd ( 1st in one game :)) for about 5 games. I just had to quit after my 6th game due to a full grid causing unbelievable rubber banding in the game.:yuck::yuck::yuck: But needless to say, after a brief learning curve I loved using the M3! It's so easy to use , so forgiving, and solid. You'd really have to try hard to mess it up once you get the hang of it.

Now for your NSX, man this takes the cake. P3nT4gR4m sure didn't miss anything in his review and I dare not duplicate his elaborate eloquence. But the best part for me is that hairpin at suzuka wherein ( if my timing's right ) i brake hard till my left front tire runs over the rumble strips, gun it and it takes me smack on the outer rumble strip to straighten out for a smooth exit. This one really amazed me bec. this was the part of the track where i lose the most time. With your NSX tune, the gearing is so precise that i consistently took that hairpin at 40mph and get to about 70 by the time transition out. HAH! I can finally out maneuver those pesky clio's!!

Thanks Doc Holden for your surgical precision, you saved my game from being a $40 coaster!👍👍👍

BTW, It may just be my driving but for me this car handles like the Lotus 111R Tuned through the esses! I can't wait for what you'll do next! Any clio's in the works?
