Ok, I changed my mind
THIS Zonda F. Quite simply the best looking car I've ever seen. the car to use once every few weekends when the sun is out and I fancy a drive.

Well if we're not being realistic, I'd have:

Daily driver: Mercedes Benz 190E Evo III Cosworth

Weekend toy: A Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI RS Tommi Makinen Edition, haven't heard of any being in England, and I've never seen a Scotia White VI myself so even the standard RS's are quite rare

Just because: Toyota Corolla GT Coupe (aka AE86), Levin style (fixed headlights) with the TRD Group A engine that revs to 10,000rpm (search youtube for the TRD N2 Levin; basically that car but with a more standard body), or, more realistically, just the 160bhp AE111 Blacktop 4A-GE with 11:1 compression, or the 4A-GZE out of a supercharged AW11 MR2, or maybe a 3S-GTE from the SW20, I made that on Forza 2 once and it did fly but had no grip due to the fact it weighed around 600kg and had more than that in horsepower. I think, anyway, don't quote me on that. But no way in real life would I pay £5000 for a 21 year old Japanese sports coupe, then that amount again on just the engine or a car to pillage the engine from...

Just because part 2: Subaru Impreza 22B, there's something like 14 of them in England, last one I saw for sale was something like £35k.

Supercar: Caterham Levante; for those who don't know its a Caterham Seven with a bespoke engine that's essentially a pair of Hayabusas with slightly increased displacement (2800cc instead of 2600) sharing a common crank in a V8 configuration, with a supercharger nested in the valley... 500bhp at 10,000rpm, and somewhat predictably sounds like a pair of the most powerful superbikes being ragged to within an inch of their life! All 8 were sold a long time ago, for £113k each, but when the engine alone costs £40k I can kind of see why!

Don't think this needs a lot of explaining. Would be left stock for longer trips where I still want a fun car.

Toyota MR-S Monocraft GT-300

Minus the stickers, but with the turbo and the GT wing. Would be used as a track day and autocross car.

Lexus LS460

Because people should be hauled around in comfort.

Vintage Toyota. If you know me you'll understand this too.

Subaru Outback 2.5 XT
jp2008-08-50th-outback-25xt-eyesight.png

For hauling things around, going to the junkyard, ski trips, and so on. Plus they are fun to drive and more or less mob through deep snow.

Now, the list is fairly realistic. Why? Well, I already own 2 of the cars and my step mother will eventually hand over her Outback 2.5XT. The NSX-R and LS460 should both be within my price range when I am in my 30's.

I don't quite see the point in owning 4 super cars either...

My 5 car garage would be:

Daily driver: Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32) - I grew up watching videos of the Australian Touring Car Championship and Bathurst 1000 from 1990, saw it thundering round and I've loved it ever since. In my opinion, the best looking Skyline yet.

Weekend toy: Pagani Zonda Roadster - You just would, wouldn't you? :P

Another daily driver: Lexus IS-F - My dad worked at Lexus for a short time, and this was the car we both anticipated while he did. :D

Track car: Ford Mondeo BTCC - How can you not love the wailing V6 in this thing? :D

Another track car: Peugeot 905B - Personally my favourite Le Mans racer ever. First saw it on the Le Mans 1993 video and I instantly fell in love. The sound of that F1-inspired V10 just gives me goosebumps. If I had the cash I'd buy the one AGS has at their F1 school :D

Actually, I'll make a note on my list. If I were to have the funds, the MR-S would be replaced with this...

Have you even seen Clarkson try driving that thing? You definitely don't want it on a track.

Oh but I do! And yes I have seen Clarkson drive it. And he also drove heavier, still in development model.

Haha! Thanks exigeracer I saw that same car again yesterday. I love it!

I was thinking long and hard about how I could have 5 cars and still be realistic, sensible and environmentally responsible. Then I thought, balls to that...

And so you posted 6? :P

________________________________________________________________

Made an Album with some more pictures of these cars. :D

I figure an ideal fantasy garage should offer a good mix of drivetrains, practicality, and affordability.

A good start to the fantasy garage ;):
picture.php

Rear Engine / Rear Drive (RR)
picture.php

1981 Porsche 911 SC Targa. (Already part of the garage, will be owned outright in just over a year.)
A delight to drive despite it's heavy feel and old age. Enormous wind-in-the-hair fun!

Front Engine / Rear Drive (FR)
picture.php

1995 Mazda Miata (NA) (Already part of the garage, owned outright)
Had this car for over 4 years now, light and precise, really easy to drive hard but not overpowered enough to be uncontrolable or liable to get me in trouble!

Front Engine / Front Drive (FF)
picture.php

P & L Special Mini: My first fantasy car, and next on the shopping list. These Minis are custom built complete restorations (with LHD conversion if necessary) and are relatively reasonably priced, at around $13,000 (although shipping from England might cost a little!) Have always wanted a real Mini but they're hard to come by in California, especially with emissions regulations.

Mid Engine / Rear Drive (MR)
picture.php

1985 Ferrari 308 GTSi Quattrovalvole: The classic "Magnum PI" Ferrari, I'm torn between something like this and an Acura NSX for an MR ride. This 42,000 mile one is for sale for just under $30,000 at the moment though, which is relatively affordable compared to a similar mileage NSX in comparable condition.

Front Engine / Four Wheel Drive (4WD)
picture.php

2008 Audi RS6 Avant: My one 'concession' to fantasy expense! With the above vehicles in the garage, I'll need something practical for hauling larger loads, and with the 4WD safety net for snowboarding trips. The new RS6 Avant is hugely powerful and sporty, with large comfortable space for all sorts of things. Sadly it has a pricetag to match. :(

About three minutes after posting my 5 vehicles, I reconsidered but since I was on my way home for lunch, I forgot about it. My revised list removes the Silverado, as anything that requires it for transport (like the fridge) can be delivered, and replaces it with a 2009 Winnebago Outlook. That way I can go camping and still have power to do my sons treatments.

Practical and responsible!

The correct answer now:

Audi S8
Bugatti Veyron
1995 Lamborghini Diablo SE30
1955 or 1956 Mercedes-Benz 300SL coupe
Porsche Carrera GT

I gotta replace my Sprinter with this Roadtrek RV conversion I saw at the auto show last night:

What I saw was basically what I dreamed up when I first saw the Sprinter a year ago. Now all they need to do is make a rotisserie chicken wing truck out of one.

The correct answer now:

Audi S8
Bugatti Veyron
1995 Lamborghini Diablo SE30

Porsche Carrera GT

I see way too many things VAG has had a hand in. I prefer not to drive fireballs :P

I've been thinking and this is my 5-car garage:

Super car - Caterham X330(Levante) (White with Red Stripes)
Just Because - Ariel Atom (Black)
Weekend - Nismo Skyline R32 (Silver)
Track Day - Ferrari FXX (Black)
Daily Driver - Audi S5 (Black)

The correct answer now:

Audi S8
Bugatti Veyron
1995 Lamborghini Diablo SE30
1955 or 1956 Mercedes-Benz 300SL coupe
Porsche Carrera GT
I can't agree fully, but you get a cookie for the SE30.
cookie-bite-web.jpg

You lose a chunk though for not picking the Jota. :P

When you pull up at a set of lights in your Carrera GT'S and Audi R8's, and I pull up in my CF Zonda, then you will know who picked the better car :sly:

The one year I dont go to the MPH show, they have it on a stand. THE EXACT CAR :(

The Daily Drive - Fiat 500 Abarth

The Family Car - BMW 5 Series

Okay, here goes.

Mini Cooper '90
1990%20Mini%20Cooper%20RSP.jpg

The Mini Cooper has always been a favourite of mine. It's light, nimble and I really love the look.

Dodge Viper GTS '02
2002-Viper-GTS-Final-Edition-001.jpg

Another car which has always been a favourite of mine. I love it's V10 engine and it looks awesome. Apart from the GTS-R, I've never seen one in real life, unfortunately. Although, I have spotted a couple of RT-10s.

Ferrari 599 Fiorano '07
novitec-rosso-ferrari-599-gtb-fiorano-2008-1.jpg

My favourite Ferrari of all time. What really draws me to it is the raw power, the awesome style and it's quite luxurious, a good combination.

Lamborghini Reventón '08
800px-Lamborghini_Reventón.jpg

One of the best looking cars ever, so aggressive. I'd love to take one back in time to Roswell, New Mexico a few days after the UFO incident, just to spook some people.

Nissan GTR '08
2009-Nissan-GT-R-30.jpg

The Nissan GTR is just an amazing car. I don't really know what to say. I love all the technology in it and the great looks. Definitely one of the best modern cars around.

1) Firebird/Trans Am - Most likely the late 60's Firebird, but it is not concrete.
2) Ricey Lexus - I grew up in Japan, man(probably Crown-complex). What do you want? :D
3) Ricey Range Rover Sport - I actually like the regular Range Rover better, but the Sport are pure eye-candy.
4) Scion xB - I just love them, and hey, I'd need at least one eco-friendly car. :P
5) GT-R - I've always wanted a GT-R. It doesn't actually have to be this one. I'd take R34, R32(but not R33 ;) ), or even earlier ones. Jay, don't punch a6m5. This one just happens to be the latest, baddest.

Honorable mention/Sixth Man(basketball term):
112_0710_04z+2008_lotus_elise_sc+front_profile.jpg

Lotus Elise - I could have taken a Miata, or S2000. But if it's going to be a fantasy, might as well go all the way.

Hmm.

The Realistic Dream Garage
The Fun - Mk2 NB Mazda MX-5 1.8 - 10th Anniversary Edition would be peachy.
The Track Fun - Mk1 NA Mazda MX-5 1.8i - Got this already, thanks. A 1998 Berkeley, in need of some forced induction
The Family - 2001 Honda Accord Type-R - On its way soon ;)
The Unnecessary - 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 - Ditto
The Journeyman - Mazda MX-3 V6, KL-ZE conversion - Halfway there. Got the car (still), just need the engine.

The Unrealistic Dream Garage
The Fun - 2009 Aston Martin V8 Vantage 4.7
The Family - 2009 Aston Martin Rapide
The Unnecessary - 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28
The Highly Unnecessary - 1986 Ford RS200 Evolution
The Journeyman - 2008 Chevrolet Corvette C6 - You can keep your fussy Z06 and ZR1s

"Soon" is a relative term, but it's on my cars-to-buy list.

I'm also after an Alfa Romeo 156 GTA Sportwagon, for little other reason than I've wanted one for ages and have a dog.

Isn't that Accord Euro-R?

But anyways, I'll play.

Grocery getter: Audi RS4 Avant. I love how they look, and they sound even better when you're on it.
0201a-main.jpg

The long distance cruiser: MB SL65 Black. This is mainly about aesthetics. I think it looks incredible. Should go alright too.
mercedes-sl65-black.jpg

The track/handling toy: Might just keep what I have
kok299.jpg

The flash car: Probably a LP560-4.
112_0808_04z+2009_lamborghini_gallardo_lp560_4+driver_side_overhead.jpg

Sleeper: XR6 Turbo, worked to excessiveness but as stock as possible on the outside. They're pretty awesome as it is. 4 litre turbo, rear wheel drive, whats not to like? (Weight.) The car pictured runs easy 11 second quarter miles. Just my kind of thing.
stburnout2.jpg

There would probably be a GT-R in there somewhere too, maybe as an upgrade for the Evo. R34 in Bayside blue thanks.

5) GT-R - I've always wanted a GT-R. It doesn't actually have to be this one. I'd take R34, R32(but not R33 ;) ), or even earlier ones. Jay, don't punch a6m5. This one just happens to be the latest, baddest.

puts fist away :guilty:

:P

As for me... I just can't do it, too many awesome cars to decide from.

Isn't that Accord Euro-R?

Nope - though it's often termed as such for some reason. It is the European market Accord Type-R though, and not the Accord Euro-R as is available in GT3/4.

Ah, must be an European thing then, I've never seen a Type-R Accord (well, one where the stickers came with the car from the factory anyways), the fast(er) Accords are all badged Euro-R.
This is the 2.2 litre, Recaro'd version right?
As in this one
2000%20Honda%20Accord%20Euro%20R.jpg

Or did you guy's get something different?
