Ah, but the Ring uses a difference sign jg. the Ring's are just plain white with a "17km" on it, for example. plus, i don't recall the ring using white lines....but it's been close to a year since I played GT4....
suz: bit too blurry for me.

Wow, suz, that sky is awesome! How did you get it to look like that? I'm not a massive fan of the blurriness of the rest of the image as I'm not sure what it's meant to be (tiltshift?) but the sky is epic!

yeah, it's lemans not nurburgring

Amazing picture, suzq044! I never knew such beautiful pictures could be achieved in Nürburgring! 👍

yeah; i was thinking tilt-shift on it.. but i couldn't get the focal-point thing to work right; Since I couldn't get it to work, I decided to relink it to the "un-blurred" image. This image was captured during a track-escape with the Tacoma; and modified by adding textures to the "beyond-track" area, to make it seem a little more realistic; here is the original [LINK]; I simply took advantage of the "no rules" policy this week :)

Oh, and for anybody who asks, no the "donor images" were not images from pics of the real track. I couldn't find any decent ones, so i just googled "aerial trees" "cloudscape" and "aerial field"; basically using a few layering techniques was able to adequately cover the "non-textured" area of the in-game nurb, somewhat realistically.

Lol. So original pic was as crappy as Nürburgring's "beyond-track" areas can be. Great job, anyways. To turn such a crappy shot into that piece of art is just wonderful.

All of the entries are absolutely fantastically amazing! I'm blown away!
@Adrian Was that used in the first stint of the scenery comp? I could've sworn, no matter though, as this is completely different

Great job Suz 👍 I don't even know how to pull that off flawlessly
as your request, I am entering with this crazy planet

Final Entry

Actually I thought about it earlier and I even asked David about the rules
I knew it wasn't very nice how much effort I put on that, so I tried to work on something else, but it required too much cleaning and redrawing so I gave up. Now I am with the old plan :P

yes it was, but not like that. this one's the blown up version.

speaking of entries, i've reworked my past update, and wanted to show you guys an experiment i've done with what happens when you shoot with a tripod and it's sort of windy. still not a hundred percent, but i'm working on it. just something i've learned from 3d mag a long time ago. hopefully i can produce an entry for the tornado theme for the centennial 2.0 celebration. need to fullview to see the whole thing. might be blurry from the preview pic.

final entry

LdS: ring or le Mans? I'm guessing le Mans myself. either way, i think you just got my vote. original (although not as much as mr. Hell race over there hehe!) and well executed. realistic too.

It's the Ring. 👍

Edit: Poll?

Sorry to everyone, but I won't be able to be very active in gtplanet any more.:( I just bought a car and it's been using almost all of my time. The very little time that I actually use my comp, I spend on sourcing parts. So if anyone else wants to run the comp, they can,but if no one does, then I'll put up a poll in a few days, and I guess it'll be over.:guilty: I'll still check in every once in a while, but I won't be very active any more.

Don't know, I just picked a random mark, and it is not the 17, is the 4th km ;)

Anyway, up to the Poll

Competition Closed

4km would be down Schewenkreuz IIRC. since Flugplatz is around 2.5 to my recollection....

And where the blazing hell did i get 17 from?
