2 stopper please. There may be some persons who are only capable of doing a 2 stopper because of their driving style, like me, so they will be at a disadvantage.

I've already said dude, anyone can do a one stopper. Last year I went into the race using auto gears, unaware that a one stopper was possible. I drove flat out, without any prior knowledge of a one stopper being possible. Then I did it because it was the logical thing to do as I had more than enough fuel for it. It's not an advantage for anyone because anyone can do it.

Another point people, please brake early when following another car here or else the concertina effect will inevitably lead to you crash into that car. Also, please take care if you are being lapped. Remember, slow down and move off the racing line. Good places for doing this would be the pit straight, the downhill approach to Mirabeau (T5), just before and just after the tunnel and finally the approach to Tabac (T12).

Best of luck everyone and please remember to take care 👍

Not a bad race for me.

Qualifying was terrible. I only managed a 1:11.8, which is way off my usual pace. My best prior to that was a 1:10.6xx, and I could consistently do low 1:11s, so it was awful.
I got a reasonable start off the grid. No-one got passed me, but I couldn't sneak passed Ben either lol. I looked behind me to see a bit of a pile up though.
I tried to chase Ben, but the nerves and the Qualifying had shook me a little, and I couldn't compete with his pace. I eventually got a penalty, which was pretty annoying, and my pace was still really bad.
My one stop went okay, but I did get about 3 penalties, including a puncture lol. However, I did finally manage to get back to my good pace on the last lap, and got a 1:11.084. But I think that was a little too late then :P

Congrats Ben, you drove a seemingly perfect race and those points are well-deserved :) and now it looks like we're level pegging, so it's a good job I can get another lead up at the next race lol.

I can't belive it, i started 4th with the best time ive set here. I didn't want to ruin anyone's race so let everyone though at the start and see about 3 cars at T1 and pj going slow cut the corner i think. Then i got up to 4th right behind crooky for a lap he made a mistake and i went pass. From there i had a boring race on my own. Shaggy came up to lap me on his final lap but just crossed the line before him.

And hemi i just see your comment on last page i didn't crash so i can drive.lol

not a bad race for me apart from the start as i got spun by someone 9thplace with hem behind who i think got taken out by pj then i raced hard making my way up to 4th still with Hem behind me then a 8sec pen dam 5th place with 10laps to go then 3laps to go i see Hem and pj had another coming together wow 4th place behind my teamate in 3rd well done king on your podium finish. another 11 points for REDBULL. good win shaggy.

Happy days, good points haul for me 👍

Qualy was a mixed bag, did a 1:10.8 on my first outing, failed to improve on that with my second lap, then I took a bit too much run off at Sainte Devote on my final flyer and got a penalty, so it was a nervous 2 minute wait to see if my first stab at pole was enough, and thankfully it was, by a much bigger margin than I expected. I had been aiming to secure pole position, if I managed this I was pretty certain that I could hold on to first so long as no one tried any banzai manoeuvre into t1, so the relief at getting it was immense

I got a good start, visibly better than Jamie for once, who started from P2, and I braked nicely and got a good exit from the first corner and from there on I could control the race. My pace was good without taking too many risks, so I managed to avoid any scrapes, crashes, penalties or punctures alltogether 👍

Thanks goes to those who moved over to let me lap, I remember Hemi and Ginty being very good about this, maybe Crooky was too, I can't remember mate. However for 2 laps I was closing up on Zeroduck who clearly had quite a lot of pace tonight, but he was not obliging in moving over. As I braked for Rascasse, he was already round the corner but then he spun into the wall, whilst I was still braking before turning in - no way could I be at fault for this one. He then d/c, left the lobby and 'thanked' me for shunting into him. I'm sorry duck, but as i've already said, unless the lag bubble is 15 metres big and travels around corners, then I did not hit you. I'm sorry you seemed to have a bad race, but had you let me through like all the others did in accordance with the rules, then this wouldn't have been possible if indeed I did actually hit you. Gauranteed, had you seen it from my screen, you definitely would not have waited either, you were a very large distance in front of me when you spun and I was not going to wait just incase I did somehow hit you, when I would have had to have lapped you again anyway - it would have slowed us both down.

Anyway, I had a great race, hope everyone else did too 👍 This result brings me back into the title frame, but it's still a big ask :indiff:

P.S. Thanks for the kind words Jamie, you'll no doubt get a big points haul at Silverstone.

Anyway this gives me a nice break, perhaps this week I'll spend some time on SuperCar Challenge. Has anyone else tried this game yet?

It's all true Ben. Unfortunately I was too shaken up to challenge you tonight, otherwise it would have been a great race, i'm sure. But you drove the perfect race, much like me at Montreal last season.

No, I haven't tried SuperCar Challenge yet. I don't tend to go on many racing games apart from F1, even though I should lol. Lately i've been preoccupied with F1, UFC and yesterday I bought Guitar Hero 3 :D because i've always wanted a GH game and it was only £30, so I snapped it up lol.

Also, big congratulations to Red Bull. Definitely the most consistent team this year because Ben and I never seem to have a team mate to turn up. If Rob doesn't start telling me earlier in the week that he won't make it, then I may have to replace him permanently.

I love Monaco!! But things didn't go as planned :grumpy: crashed Sainte Devote (turn 1) lap 1 :ouch: then crashed again coming out of Portier (turn 8) on lap 15 just as I was catching King to battle for P3 and that let pj back by me on the track but not for position :yuck: and then I got caught up in pj's mishap in Antony Noghes (turn 17) on lap 17 which let GINTY by me for P4 :banghead: Oh well, you got to take the bad with the good  now it's time for a cold one  :P

"maybe Crooky was too, I can't remember mate."

Nope I was the idiot going the wrong way round the track after my fuel ran out on the pitstraight :dopey:

I am terribly sorry for all who I it. My ISP just isn't good at all, so i'm all over the place. HEMI seems pretty mad about it, I heard his "oh god no" at turn 17, very sorry mate.

PJ, when you're about to the race, try turning off as much as you can. Downloads, MSN, youtube and general over-use of your router will effect the amount of lag you have in the race.

Thanks again for doing these videos Hemi, and for putting them out so quickly, must take some effort. Seems like it wasn't your race, but you're a real trooper for carrying on regardless :)

Oh yes, and I saw you letting me by in that vid, good job 👍 Question, you hadn't even checked your rearview, so how did you know I was there? Or did you literally use the big sidemirrors on that MF1 to spot me? Or did you just use the map? Or did you just 'sense' my presence?

LOL! I remember now, I passed you and just laughed, because I figured you were trying to get back to the pits by going the wrong way

Well here is an onboard lap of Silverstone by Fernando Alonso (surprise surprise)

 I'm not mad PJ and what I said in the video was "aww, come on" which was just my feelings of how my race went, you know like, "what's going to happen next"

you're welcome and ESP  after my mistake knocking off my left rear tire I looked at the circuit map and I was quite surprised at how close you were to lapping me :( of course the 18 second penalty didn't help me :irked: and i was no match for you on cold tires :scared: and I did hit the look back button on the front stretch to make sure I would not impede you progress by taking turn 1 before I let you pass :D but yes I do use the mirrors on the car :sly: that's one reason I like the MidlandF1, to me the mirrors are just right :) ever wonder why the Ferrari doesn't have mirrors? I guess Michael was never worried about anybody catching him

Sorry to barge into this thread but did you run out of fuel because you was attempting a one stop ?

Did everyone manage a one stop without running out fuel ?

I am just curious as I remember that doing 1 stops back in 2007 was only possible by running out of fuel, and when the patch came out later that year it had introduced more bugs.

Thanks.

I did a 1 stop no problem, I think I may even have had an extra lap in the car as well lol.

I did a one stop. I've have never had a problem getting 10 laps on a stint at Monaco. I believe I could get 11 laps but there is no need to try as the race is only 20 laps long. I do know of people who can't do it on a one stopper. It would be nice if we could do half or even full length races as that would really make fuel an issue :D Oh, and I even get better fuel mileage in my personal vehicles than what they are advertised with

Great thanks guys 👍

LOL, Hemi you could send a youtube video to the manufacturer of your personal vehicle with you at the wheel and show them how it's really done

Not sure if you can reduce your fuel usage on F1:CE but after I foolishly attempted to go for an eleventh lap the car ran out just before I started lap 11 so for me I only just made 10 laps. So I just turned around and went back in the pits rather than going on stopping every 500 metres!

Just for your information, the fuel given to you after respawning is always enough to make it back to the pits. Trust me, going backwards isn't the fastest way to remedy the situation :ouch:

I got pretty pissed off during that race as well. When I totaled the car, I banged my arms down on the couch and broke the TV remote beside me, and almost broke the sixaxis . What a horrible race. Congratulations to Shaggy Alonso!!! Drove a perfect race, no crashes, mistakes, and you pretty much lead the entire race, and pulled off into the distance from the start. You lapped me twice

In theory a 20 lap race could be completed with no pitstops. Just keep respawning, I may try it one day if I am bored

I very much doubt that it would save you time lol. You get a penalty every time you spawn back, which is around 8 seconds, so that multiplied by 9/10 laps (at Monaco) would result in disaster lol.

EDIT: Oh and the weather forecast for Silverstone on the 11th of October is looking pretty dismal. With a lot of cloud overshadowing the track and a light drizzle for the most part of the race. This will result in wet conditions, however, not too wet to involve full wet tyre compounds. Although, things should clear up just in time for the end of the race and we will see sunny spells for the podium ceremony

:)

Jamie, i've edited Ardius' brilliant tables from last season to fit this season. I would post them myself but I'm unable to alter your first post aren't I? So I may just have to send them to you. Either that, or I post the updated table in my post-race results...post, each week.

I now understand why Ardius sometimes took a while to update them - using microsoft paint is tedious work.

You are a legend! 👍

Now our tables will look a lot better lol. I'm not sure that you can edit my first post, or if there's anyway to give you that access. If not, then I guess you'll just have to send them to me after you've updated them each week.

A big round of applause for Ben please, for his excellent work here! :D

Oh... I'm sure I've done it before and I've stopped several times before making it back to the pits.

Indeed it is,
I really should have used Excel but I was too lazy, and as usual, laziness creates more work.
