Bunnies are warming up Stockholm.

I agree. In a way, it is efficient solution, but it would had been better if they hadn't told the media..

It seems like a good idea to me, its better than tipping the rabbits into a mass grave.

Most animals don't get to be cremated so I guess its not the worst possible send of, in fact its quite a useful way to dispose of dead bodies. Although....I guess it would be a bit morbid if my computer was running of someone's poor old gran and grandad. :ill:

Yeah i don't see the problem. I wish we did things like that here! That's a brilliant idea, and a good use for otherwise useless rabbits. I don't understand what they mean by "not a good way to treat rabbits". The rabbits are dead for crying out loud. If they were incinerating humans, i would have an issue, but as of now it's a pest that is getting disposed of in a good way.

I remember my high school Physics and Chemistry teacher telling us that there is "a right way, a wrong way, and the swedish way." He later yelled at everyone in the middle of a lab in April and told us to be quiet. He proceeded to say "watch this" and he pulled out a pocket knife. He then yelled out "die bunny rabbit!" and proceeded to stab a chocolate bunny repeatedly so everyone could get a piece.

It all makes sense now...

better the rabbits get used for something than just rot and infest the area with all sorts of fun decomposition materials.

Wait, so there's heating plants in Sweden? Like people have a "heating line" coming into their house providing heat much like running water, natural gas, etc?

It might make steam, running through lines to the buildings. Seems like it would lose a bit of its kick on the way, though.

Either way, it's kinda gross. If that plant doesn't have scrubber things and lets the smoke out into the air, then that's a bunch of dead rabbit ashes floating in the air. But if not, then yes it's quite efficient.

Hands down the best line:
Since they have no natural predators, the city administration of Stockholm employs hunters to kill the rabbits.
Apparently it is just a harmless little bunny and the only thing that can defeat it is the Holy Incinerator of Karlskogaaaaaagggh!!!

If someone would be willing to come and clear out a few of the jackrabbits around my place so I could actually grow some plants in my yard I certainly wouldn't stop them.

As I was reading this I was thinking about how I could keep my house warm AND grow green beans.

Overall, I think this is the second best use of rabbits ever. The first is white chili.

It gets quite cold here in the winter you know.

How bigs is the steam plant in that town? I know college campuses I have been too use steam plants to pump steam through pipes through most of the older buildings. If it is a small town or one with a large older section it could be using a steam plant. Or, you know, steam can turn electric generators.

You have electricity don't you? An electric or gas furnace has to be more efficient than pumping steam/boiling water throughout a town.

Well if you got to burn stuff you might as well make something useful with it. I don't know how efficient it is but it warms pretty good.

All bunnies are secretly evil. Especially the ones with red eyes.

Anyway, I think it's a great idea. If Stockholm was completely overrun by rabbits then people would complain anyway, and it's not like they're going to become extinct any time soon so a cull and then mass incineration to produce energy is the best outcome.
